they are not, but you can get something like this to make it work. I haven't done it personally but I know some people who have and say it works great

I have two of these hooked up to a VESA mount with this doohickey here.

Hmm alright!

Maybe the 31" monitors won't be ideal then. They're likely a little bit too big!
Any (IPS) 1080p monitor will be doing the job fine, almost all PS4 games don't care a lot about super fast reaction / twitch like maneuvers. Which is why an IPS monitor will work very well.

Lots of streamers use BenQ monitors because they either get sponsored or buy those monitors because the "pro gamers" buy them.
They're very good for games like CS:GO or Dota2 where you need super fast reactions. Those monitors are very fast which means that it's a slight advantage to have that extra few milliseconds of reaction time.

For pretty much anyone else that isn't extremely competitive, those monitors are really not that special. I also don't like the fat bezels! ;)

I personally really like the AOC 23" i2367Fh or the AOC 27" i2757Fh. Sadly both of them don't have height adjust or vesa mounts.
However, you can buy the fairly expensive adapters for them to get a vesa mount, which allows you to buy a monitor stand to be able to lift them up or down. This mount in particular only allows all 3 monitors to go up or down, not separately.
It is expensive though. So I guess as a start, just deal with them standing on the desk.

No problem! I am very much aware of the little miniature drunks that run around in homes. Personally don't know if I'll ever feel like getting children, but I am sure they bring you a lot of joy as well.

---

Ahh, now it makes more sense. I thought that you would just record and not stream.
I have to check, but I am pretty certain that it is possible to swap monitors with just OBS streaming software. You create the 'scenes' for both monitors and then you create hotkeys to swap to the other monitor with the touch of a button!

Showing both screens at the same time, again likely possible with the creation of a scene, but yes.. probably not very common that you want to do that. May get pretty busy with the webcam as well in there.

I also just noticed, I completely forgot to give my rationale for all the parts. I don't know if I feel like typing it out to be very honest.
So please, just ask if you have any question about any part and I can provide a detailed reply why I suggest it.

I also forgot to post my list of videos, guides and software that should help you a lot to understand more about PC hardware. I also believe that the guides should be great at helping you build the system and the stress tests are important to just run a bit after you've build the system.
You don't have to overclock, but you could consider to bump the CPU up a bit. It does improve performance (editing mostly) by a fair amount.

    Guides

    ---

Now before you have a look at all these guides. The best guide in most cases will always be your MANUAL. Some manuals are garbage, but most of them are more than good enough to be able to help figure out most problems.

  • How to build an AMD Ryzen PC?
You can ignore the part selection, builds constantly change and while this is fairly recent, it will be outdated "tomorrow". It also isn't specific for your requirements.
However, almost everything is very similar to your system, so you should be able to follow the guide and get the system together and up and running no problem.

  • How to install thermal compound?
The temperature difference between the best and the "worst" thermal compound is a couple degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between applying thermal compound one way or another.. is 0 degrees.
Be careful though! The only way that the temperature will rise is when you don't put enough. So it needs to have enough, but too much can cause problems as well. So don't go overkill either!
Thermal compound helps with the contact of the cooler + the CPU. They both have microscopically small gaps, which the thermal compound fills up to let the heat get too the heatsink.
  • How to install Windows 8(.1) or 10 from an USB drive?
You have to download "media creation tool" which is located at the bottom of the page (blue button). Run that program with a 4GB+ USB flash drive plugged into a PC. Then follow the simple steps and the program will make the USB drive bootable. After that all you have to do is build the PC and boot from that USB drive to install Windows.
  • How to set up your SSD & HDD?
This video is another older video, but it works pretty much the same in Win 8/10.
  • How to use Ninite?
This video explains it very well, as well as their recommendations. For security I advise to only get Avira & Malwarebytes. If you want to pay for an anti-virus; Webroot! Light weight; very high detection rate.

If anyone is looking, here's the adapter to allow it to fit on a VESA mount: https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Bracket-i2367Fh-i2757Fh-i2267Fw/dp/B01A3XDIQQ

u/trebarb · 2 pointsr/battlestations

They actually can! Just need to buy an adaptor for them!

Also, While it may not be VESA mountable there are VESA converter mounts like this

They do make adapters. You need desk space.

Depending on the AOC monitor, you may be able to get a VESA adapter plate. I was able to find one for mine before it died.

Edit: something like this

I see some adapters online https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Bracket-i2367Fh-i2757Fh-i2267Fw/dp/B01A3XDIQQ
But I have to pay more for the shipping than the product cost if I was to ship it to NZ.. :(

u/rag3train · 1 pointr/Monitors

I was able to find https://www.amazon.com/i2367Fh-23-Inch-Frameless-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B009V8F700

with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A3XDIQQ adapter to mount it. I like this one over another I saw for aces because it hides the neck of the monitor

It'll turn the $130 price point to 160 but im fine with 23" as long as its a super thin bezel, ips and matte finish
