Ahh yes, the intoxicated painter. I had a guy who I knew was a little bit of a problem, but it only seems to make a difference on his speed. But one day he came in late, apologized, whatever, went to work... later he took a sip from his coffee and ended up spitting out all he had in his mouth and flinging half of his coffee on the rough sawn fire place mantle, wall and floor. He was a fucking mess that day. At the end of the day, he nudged the halongen work lamp over so he could (presumably wash his hands) get by and faced it towards the cabinet. It burned/melted the veneer. I resolved the issues with the client, but fuck I ever hire a person that can't control themselves around their drug of choice. Speaking of, I also had a guy get high at lunch once, (yes, high noon) and I didn't realize he was high until almost 2pm and he was still in the same bedroom trying to mud the walls.

TL;DR: Do NOT give a tradesman beer (or any drug) until the end of the week, the end of the day or better yet, at the end of a project. No good will come of it.

This looks like to be a standard worklight

(type: https://www.amazon.com/Designers-Edge-L20-Portable-Handheld/dp/B000IJRMWM/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1482629869&sr=8-7&keywords=work+light)

with a cardboard makeshift barndoors and a diffusion outside on the cardboard. I can't see to see any ctb gels, so I take it that the in camera white balance has been adjusted to around, say 2700k? Or adjusted in grade.

This is a really cheap way to create light. Lamp cost around 20$, cardboard is free-ish? Diffusion gel can also be acquired for next to nothing.

I take it that the light is supposed to be moonlight?
For more "nuance" to the scene I would probably have added warm tungsten practicals to complement the cold moonlight. This is of course depending on the story. I would probably also add a bit of green to the moonlight, perhaps cyan or steel blue? This is personal preference of course.

I would maybe also consider to make the exterior light a sodium street lamp for more realism (also depending on the story and genre)

Great that you take your time sharing your setup with a video. Next time I would probably add some more details to your build, like budget, what kind of gels, why you did as you did, and what the story is.

According to the article light therapy works for both. I use a halogen lamp that you can get at the store for $20 usd

https://www.amazon.com/Designers-Edge-L20-Portable-Handheld/dp/B000IJRMWM/

You can get different types of lamps from Amazon specifically for SAD that work too. Those are more expensive and potentially less reliable than the cheap hologen work lamp which provides around 8000 lumens. SAD lamps usually provide around 10,000 lumens. You can get two halogen work lamps and get 16,000 lumens. The intensity of the light makes your brain think it's the day and regulates your pituitary gland.
