I don't get it. Has enough money to buy $600-$3000 Surface. Doesn't have enough money to buy $2 battery for pen.
Edit: batteries as low as $.64 each on Amazon

Enjoy.
For the lazy and non-gifted who would either stab themselves and/or the batteries.
Amazon sells an 8-pack of AAAAs for $4.49. My area has same-day delivery with Prime, so it's a no-brainer to buy from them. I tossed two of them into my bag for my SP4 along with extra pens.
AAAA batteries exist but for the most part they have to be purchased online. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UUMQKW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eNEdAbHMWT3AX
You’re right about the resolution though, that was my mistake. I’ve corrected the post, sorry for any confusion.
Here you go.
Agreed, I went to a computer store and Best Buy and didn't spot any.
Amazon has 8 for $4.50 or 4 for $3.20:

$5 for 6 batteries
Yep. There are plenty of battery sizes out there nobody ever uses. 9 volt batteries are actually a bank of AAAA cells sometimes.
I have a shitty Lenovo thinkpad tablet that has a stylus that uses a single AAAA battery. I got a 60 pack for under $20. I don't think this is the exact brand/amazon page I got mine off of (as mine has different labeling), but it should work just the same. http://www.amazon.com/UNIVERSAL-POWER-D5344-Alkaline-Batteries/dp/B000FCP72Y/ref=sr_1_10?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1410061848&sr=1-10

And Amazon wins...
If you don't mind Energizer, they're not that expensive. Otherwise I guess Amazon makes batteries now and if you don't mind the price you can go with Duracell
hahaha! Awesome.
Well, here's some options, AAAA's aren't too expensive from....Amazon of all places?! http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Everyday-Alkaline-Batteries-8-Pack/dp/B00LH3DTYS 8x for $4.50 - $5.30 isn't horrible. If you want to buy my Dell Venue 8 Pro it'll come with 6x free AAAA batteries! lol
Also! Fun fact, some 9V batteries also use a series of AAAA batteries to hit 9v (6x of them).

couple bucks to ship - or find a friend with prime - and you'll have a lifetime supply for less than the price of 2 at the source :)
I doubt they make them (edit: they do, but they'll need recharging far more often than replacing a one-time-use). Mine lasted over a year, so the impact of a single use battery is very small.
This 2 pack for $3 should last you 2-3 years of normal use, and most alkalines can be recycled locally.

Are these batteries adequate?
These are the same AAAA's that I have the 20 year supply of.
Common sense tells me they're fine, but I wanted to double check, and you seem pretty informed on this particular model.
amazon prime for students gets you 6 months free, and its half priced for prime after that.

just the other day i discovered the aaaa..about 75% the diameter of a aaa. someone gave me a nice but old laser pointer.. tried to put in aaa and they were too big. looked at box and TIL. Not quite as interesting as a 2/3rd a battery though
Well it looks a bit more normal now but the last time I looked for AAAA batteries on amazon it was nuts, with huge packs everywhere and you had to scroll 3 feet to find a two pack.
Here's one hundred. 🙂
I believe that is actually the origin of these batteries that are super cheap - it appears in the reviews that they are shorter than usual for some people, leading me to think they are rebranded bare cells either taken from 9V batteries, or originally meant to be used in them.
