I have used it as a slave yes, with the on-camera flash on my 60D as master, and it's worked great.

I purchased this battery pack for use with it, which says it fits 580s, so it must be the same plug :)

A quick search on Amazon shows that you can get a similar battery pack for $120: https://www.amazon.com/Godox-4500mAh-Battery-HVL-F58AM-HVL-F43AM/dp/B00TAMTSZW; or a full kit for $140: https://www.amazon.com/Fomito-Portable-Extended-Battery-Yongnuo/dp/B0183Q0I5Y/.

Thanks! My initial tests show the analog rytm is the most power hungry and should get about 4 hours. I've already ordered a better battery specifically for the AR.

Unfortunately I have no way to record my Elektron stuff right now, it's not in my studio and I'm waiting on an Presonus mixer which I'm also going to make portable.

I leave for a camping trip this week so my goal is to have a video for you to watch when I get back. Stay tuned :)

Probably power pack--does this plug look like the one?

Lead acid batteries are rechargeable (think car battery) but dont use an actual car battery. If you are using an ac adapter already just put a 12v inverter and stick it on the battery. That will handle regulations.

If you want a single box solution

This will do 12v and 6amp out but dont expect a ton of time out of it.

I'm assuming this is the Pixel pack you're referring to?

Most of my situations would be having the speedlight on a light stand with the battery pack (during receptions mostly). I mostly second shoot along with the main photographer, but feel it might be a nice addition. I guess if I don't have to worry about anything getting fried, I like the idea of saving some $$$ where I can!
