I might suggest getting a jar of minced garlic and sorta "marinating" the bacon in a bunch of that overnight, before cooking the bacon?

Now I'm wondering if you could make roasted garlic cloves wrapped in bacon....

yes! specialty stores + online are your best bet. I bought my bulb at Eataly in NYC for $3.50 (it's not cheap but the flavor is so strong you'd only need one clove per recipe)

If you add near the end of the dish (as well as beginning) you'll have big garlic flavor bomb. You may end up just drinking from the jar. :)

Galleria Asian Market, or Tsai Grocer in Ann Arbor may have it. If you really want it and don't care about spending a little bit you could always order it from Amazon.
