My suggestion is to swap out the knobs for white ones

Yeah, barefoot buttons are pricey so I really only recommend the tall versions. There are cheaper alternatives for the normal height ones. Definitely check out the mooer toppers and similar ones on Amazon.

Davies 1900h style knobs. So much easier to see where each knob is set with these.

The abalone topped knobs are just too "over-the-top" for me - I replaced mine with knurled speed knobs and I think they look more tasteful.
No, they were aftermarket knobs. I bought them because they go to 11. The original ones were gold. I tried to find gold ones that go to 11, but...no such luck.

I am missing an original knob, this way I won't need to source one, and I can use the two I have.
"Upgraded" my BDN9 from keeb.io
- 3D printed mid layer
- added .3" dome bumpons to back side to give a much more pronounced forward slant
- added a pair of BLUE rotary knobs from Amazon - it helps to search for "tone knobs"

- I also added some "smart" functions via QMK : the code determines which layer is active and applies a different function
- Encoders currently function as Zoom in/out, Volume Up/Down, Page Up / Down, Arrow Up / Down, Pause/Play, Mute
- (not visible) added small bits of black shrink tube to the base of each encoder stem to better match black case

This is a really fun little project to mess with, and I credit it (and my Iris) for my current obsession with learning QMK.

I have two of the schiit sys in use and they work great. I replaced the knobs with these. I'm sure the ol switcher works great as well; jds makes excellent gear. Pick whichever looks better to you, or if you need the 3.5mm input/output on the ol switcher.
I went with the sys because I have a modi already, so it matches, plus I really like the push in/out selector switch.
Those look nice, but the outer diameter seems a bit small. I've ordered these instead (link below), from the same company. 25mm vs 17mm, we'll see how they turn out.
