Grab a plastic chain from Amazon, hang it from the ceiling next to the cash wrap and load all the plushies onto it. Ends up looking good and can probably hold 50-70 plushies.

Not sure those are big enough. If you're in a crowded place like a park I'd bring collapsible safety pylons. Something like these.

Is there such a thing as collapsible cones that might fit in a tank bag?

Edit: Yes there is!!!

Sharpie can be hard to see, I used marking tape - it's cheap and bright. A few wraps around, tie off, and then you have the little flappy ends to amuse yourself with as you dig.

Either that or a noticeable color of electrical tape.

Amazon: 3m 36" x 2" Red $5.46

Ebay: 120" x 2" alternating red/white DOT certified tape: $12

I have some of the cheep 36" 3m tape (in white) and shining a light on it in a dark garage it definitely helps, has held up great though mud/rain.

The DOT certified tape is probably better (same stuff you see on semi-trailers). Looks like it has bigger hex reflector pattern.

You can look like an asshole too, even if you're not rich!

How about installing a polyurethane speed bump under the gate? Something like this? There must be some out there that are not high-viz or bright yellow. Or just paint it ...

I know a few are saying to park near the back, but I actually park to the front and I've never had anyone hit my bike (knock on wood).

I know people can't see it, but yes, it gives them time to stop if they start to pull in. I've also thought about sticking one of these somewhere on my bike so I can throw it down after I park.

I wouldn't bother with biners, but for more expensive stuff a little strip of orange gaffer tape works well, and has a bunch of advantages:

  1. It's removable and won't leave any sticky residue...but thieves probably won't know that (it looks just like regular cloth tape) so they may not try to remove it
  2. Despite #1 it's very sticky and I've never had any come off unless I wanted it to, long as you tape it onto a clean and reasonably smooth surface.
  3. If you pick a bright color it's easily visible from a distance (unlike engraving or that kind of thing)
  4. You can write on the tape (for example, name and address to return lost gear)
  5. If you really want to get funky you can create designs/patterns to make your stuff even more easily identifiable

I started doing this with my camera gear because when I'd be doing freelance shoots as part of a team, other people would have the same bodies and/or lenses and when you're switching lenses around and stuff it's easy to lose track of whose is whose if they're not marked. But then I realized it would work well for basically anything, and now I use it for everything.

For example, I really like it for luggage at the airport. Basically everyone has similar looking gray or black luggage, so it'd be easy for someone to grab yours at the carousel and walk away (intentionally or by accident) before you even notice. But put some big-ass orange Xs on that same luggage with tape and it stands out and becomes easy to spot.

I used this for my stuff. But its thin, so itd be a pain for tracing a decal out.

There are 2 inch versions that would be easier to use. Finding the color you want might be hard. Example 1, Example 2

It looks like plain electrical tape until you shine a light on it when its dark.

Just cut to length, do 3 strips on each stair, make sure you stay about a quarter inch back from the front lip so you don't accidentally start kicking it with the toes of your shoes.

I've attached these to my frame and helmet, they've lasted through 2 heavy winters. I found a 1cm wide section wraps almost perfectly around most spokes and is visible from a good distance. If you're creative you can trace designs onto it and cut them out with an x-acto knife.

If you look on Amazon, under the reasonable assumption that standards used in America provide the absolute minimum level of safety that could be considered acceptable in a developed country, then prices for cones the same size as NZ cones are comparable to the prices (NZ$25-$35) noted in the article:

u/DrOCD · 1 pointr/Doesthisexist

Sure. There's this stupid one.

But you could also just use glow tape or glow-in-the-dark paint.

u/goatnapper · 1 pointr/self

I second buying cones. I bought some off Amazon for practicing with my daughter.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B8BZ2O4/

They are under $12 each and work great (and now covered in tire marks).

People... Glow in the dark tape.

I searched Amazon for "4 foot velvet rope" and this was the top result. It's only available in black though, I'm not sure if you're looking for a different color. I hope it helps!

These can be really handy. I have one in my car. http://www.amazon.com/17-Lighted-Collapsible-Traffic-Cone/dp/B003SFBNTG (and no, no one has ever moved it from where I placed it.)

u/aj67891 · 1 pointr/machining

You can buy drill guides / tap guides, but honestly they're not necessary if you are careful.
