Best tanks & camis for women according to redditors

For reference I'm 5'4" and 145lbs but I weighed max 160 at the time of purchasing some of these items. I wear a size 29 jeans but sometimes I need a 30 or 28 depending on the cut/style. I am a 36c so sometimes finding shirts that fit is a mission. Hope this helps

I wear these sightly high waisted with a spaghetti string shirt tucked in. They are comfy and the material is breathable. My hips feel happy and it hugs my curves nicely. I prefer my pants loose and I'm sure a 10 would fit but not as comfy as I'd like.

I would google red velvet skater skirt, and red velvet bralette. You might be able to find these on amazon! Then get some white skinny feather boas from a craft store, and attach them to the top and skirt with either hot glue, or sew it! I've had good luck with wrap tops with ruching, like this solid one or this patterned one. Still need a cami underneath for work, but at least I have a waist. And these are pretty stretchy. There are a bunch of different companies making versions of this style.

I used my old pants with a bella band and bought a loose-fitting dress shirt on Amazon. Wore a blazer/sweater with it too. At 6 months, I wouldn't say the band is super comfortable any more, but it worked in a pinch

I would go for a high compression underworks binder. I am not a big chested person but I have seen the pics on the Amazon reviews and it will make you pretty darn flat. I am in between sizes so I bought a XS and a S, the XS makes me almost completely flat like I never had a chest in the first place which is really helpful when I have a bad dysphoria day.

Also, all of the satin camisoles I’ve tried on previously have been very generous in the stomach area, is this due to the material? Could that be altered at all?

Not cropped, but I get these in the 3 pack because I love them. The side are cut deep so it allows airflow. They also come in singles if you just want to try them out before committing to a 3 pack. I believe there are a few other styles too.

Since your problem is with roughness I would recommend a current generation synthetic. I own a Muhle (20mm knot, 53mm loft) and H.I.S (23mm knot, 50mm loft) with my preference being the H.I.S. Both of them are much softer than the animal hair brushes I have whether touching with the tips or long painting strokes. My boar, in particular, always has that scratchy hair or two that makes it's presence known when painting on the face. I think the synthetics are superior latherers and they also are low maintenance. None of this taking good care of the animal hairs. Synthetics just need to be wet under the faucet, not soaked to get going. And they dry much quicker than the animal hairs.

If you get a Muhle, connaughtshaving, mentioned by others here is a good choice. It's in the UK, but it will still be cheaper than buying it in the US. The only problem will be it could take around two weeks to arrive on your doorstep. If you want a bigger knot (better for holding more lather IMO) the prices will quickly surpass $30. The Muhle's are most 19-21mm knots with smallish handles. The HIS is more of a price bargain if you want a larger knot, longer handle and quicker delivery.

Not OP, but I like these camisoles. My sweaters don't cling to them like they do with cotton, and because they're a silk/poly blend, they are machine washable. Ten dollars each if you buy them in a 3-pack. Also, they look nice enough to wear as standalone tops.

You can buy an underworks binder from Amazon for $19, it's not a cheap knock off binder from China it's an actual underworks binder. Only hand wash your binder and never put it in the dryer. I recommend getting the black one because it's a lot easier to pass it off as an undershirt and doesn't show stains. Nice! I just traded for a Kent BK4 so we will see if I use it at all over my Plisson. If you want another cheap synthetic to play with check out the HIS synthetics on Amazon. Way Different from the plisson with a very dense knot,tons of backbone but still soft.
