I would recommend the Ducky One TKL but it's sold out and I'm not sure if it'll ever go back in stock again.

Otherwise there's also the KBP V80.

If you don't mind going for RGB, then go for the MasterKeys Pro S or Ducky One RGB.

Red switches:

Ducky One TKL RGB

Masterkeys Pro S

MK Disco

Unfortunately as far as I know RGB TKL keyboards with cherry MX clear switches pretty much don't exist (unless you build a custom keyboard).

This KBParadise V80 has clears but it's dual color blue/red LEDs and not RGB.

The WASD Code has clears but it's not RGB and it's fullsize.

There's also this newer keyboard from mechanicalkeyboards.com called the Fission but it's fullsize and the RGB is on the sides.

Clears are a more rare switch than the rest for sure, they can be hard to find on stock keyboards.

ASUS ROG Claymore Core $160 on Amazon

If you have ASUS mainboard and ASUS ROG mouse and other peripherals, you can make them shift lights together in sync through "Aura Sync", among other programmable effects. The problem is this is a TKL, no numpad. The numpad on this is detachable, but that costs like $250.

If you don't need that fancy, Coolermaster Masterkey Pro S RGB which is temporarily out of stock but only $110 on Amazon

Check out the Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro L. They also make a TKL version, the Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S.

Glorious Modular Mechanical Keyboard TKL with Gateron Reds or no switches, then some switches and PBT keycaps somewhere else.

This is on discount too: https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterKeys-Mechanical-TenKeyless/dp/B01D8ETGN6

Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S, with MX reds

Anne Pro, with MX Reds

The former is a TKL, the latter is a 60%. The choice is yours.

By 'media keys' you mean play, pause, and skip in addition to volume up/down? If so, the Coolermaster Masterkeys Pro S might be for you.. I think the keys along the right side have those media functions.

This one does look pretty great, Thanks for your help!

for someone unfamiliar with your product, is can CM Masterkeys S fit into the Norbatouch? I don't know if it's the same as MasterKeys Pro S keyboard in sizes, but they visually look the same.

What makes this magic force keyboard cost $70 and something like this Masterkeys Pro S cost $140.

I hear good things about the magic force keyboard, is it really worth spending twice as much?

u/aFriendlyAlly · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I'm looking to purchase a first mechanical keyboard. So far I think I'm pretty interested in Tenkeyless, red switches. I think the Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S looks very appealing to me visually wise. Is this something you would recommend? Any other keyboards around that price range or lower that I should also take a look at?

I was also super interested in these key caps that I saw on a post earlier on this subreddit. I really like the RB color scheme and the front-printed keys. Are these good (I have no clue what the difference is quality wise on the plastic is, if any) and would they be compatible with the keyboard I linked? I'm sorry if any of these questions could be easily answered in the wiki. I looked through it but a lot of the terms are still super new to me.

The biggest question you want to answer for any mechanical keyboard is which type of switch you want.

Most exclusive gamers like linear switches, which let you double tap very effectively. These are usually sold as 'red' switches.

There's also clicky switches, which have a sharp bump and audible click when the key actuates. Sold as 'blue' switches.

Then there's tactile switches, which have a lighter bump when the key actuates (they're as quiet as reds). They're sold as browns, and are somewhat of an intermediate between red and blue.

Generally speaking, blues are for exclusively typing, reds for exclusively gaming, and browns are good for a mixture. I'd recommend going to a Fry's/Microcenter/Best Buy (in that order) and finding which of the three you prefer on a in store model. Brands vary between their implementation of clickly/tactile/linear, but not too much.

Then, figure out whether you need programmable macros and such. I usually play games that really don't require them, so it's a non issue for me.

If so, that tends to be the one feature that gaming marketed keyboards have over the others at this price point. Coolermaster is generally the only gaming themed company I respect much. Their stuff is well priced, and makes some cool innovations. And their keys have a standard layout.

If no, then you have a ton of good options and budget plays a big role. You could get the wireless Anne pro. The rgb Ducky Shine. Or the excellently budgeted Magicforce 68. You could get a WASD keyboard and completely customize individual keycap color.

Any of those would be good options, as well as more but it's probably already overwhelming.

It does have red switches! In fact, the red switch board is much cheaper.

Remember the Ducky board comes in different colors too. The beauty of mechanical keyboards is there is nearly something available for everyone. And obnoxious clacking.

Coolermaster masterkeys is an amazing keyboard and usually on sale on amazon . It’s over budget (112 w/ sale) but 100% worth it imo.

u/shadowstar2417 · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Actually I made sure that the rantopad and masterkeys were on Amazon.ca before I recommended them, I just assumed the magicforce would be as well... The rantopad looks like it's only sold by a third party, however.

Magicforce appears to be unavailable there, which is a bit of a shame.

What's really strange to me is that the masterkeys pro S is only available in RGB there, but the masterkeys pro M is available in white, and it's below your budget. It's a pretty interesting layout too.

u/DanPlaysVGames · 1 pointr/shopformypc

As for your RAM, I suggest the GSkill Ripjaws, which is on the motherboard QVL and matches you color scheme: RAM QVL

As for your keyboard, I suggest the Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S. It is available in the size you want (called TKL) and has RGB. It has a standard bottom row, which makes swapping keycaps easy, and high quality keycaps out of the box. It can be found Here Alternatively, this iKBC would offer the same specs and make Dvorak/Colemak/Workman easier.

Edit: Changed Z to Y after my keeb switched to ISO-AL

I have a Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S Tenkeyless with Cherry MX reds (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D8ETGN6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7mPWAbB6HJ5V1) that I would consider trading for this. If you’re interested.

Cooler Master MasterKeys Pro S TKL on sale on Amazon.ca for 120$ CAD if you're interested.

u/Nexures · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

and how do those 2 compare to for example, this in terms of sotware, rgb leds, and overall quality of the keyboard?
