Samsung Electronics UN40MU6300 40-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGVQYQZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_OLNg7Q4BMQM3Y it’s a bit pricier but you get 4K and it’s 40 inch and it’s the best Tv I owned.

If you're a Sam's Club member, the Vizio M65 is $1100, maybe look at your local BestBuy's for an open-box. The 2017 Vizio E series is $900 for 65" (60Hz).

60" isn't that common anymore, the Vizio M55 is $700.

EDIT: Being Canada makes a huge difference, you can't even get a higher-end 50" for that price. I'd really suggest to go to your local BestBuys and look at open box models. For instance even a new 40" 6-series Samsung is >$1000CAD.

I got a Samsung MU6300 for around 300$ on Black Friday, it normally sells for 350-500 depending on where you get it. I was looking for a not to expensive 4K tv and it gets the job done and is nights and day compared to
My old Tv.

Edit: Acutla model number is UN40MU6290, but that says it supports VP9 and HEVC.

I'm TV impaired. Is this a good comparable TV?

That's going to vary game to game. That has nothing to do with the TV. The game has to be developed to support 4K HDR @ 60 FPS. But a lot of games will run 4K HDR 30 FPS.

Anyway, here's a 40 inch 4K HDR TV for around $500 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XGVQYQZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1497308430&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=4k+hdr+tv&dpPl=1&dpID=41lw1rOzQHL&ref=plSrch

This was just on sale for $320. Its still more affordable than the one you linked by a decent amount. I bought it when it was the deal of the day for cyber monday.

From what i can see the difference is the 360 degree design option which means the back of your tv is more attractive. It also includes color drive "pro". I don't know how significant of an upgrade that option is.

I dont see the point of buying this when you can get this for the same price and have HDR.
