I'd get a sandisk flash drive. Something like this 16gb flash drive

Get this or something similar, and plug it into the back. That should fix your storage deficiency, and costs $5.

I'm guessing you don't have to have a totally clear drive. I've always used an empty drive, but I have tried it with multiple BIOS versions on the drive at once, and I was able to select in the BIOS which file to flash. As long as the BIOS file is in the root directory of the drive I believe it should be detected.

That's assuming the USB drive is FAT32 formatted. If it's something like NTFS or exFAT then I doubt it would work.

Edit: You could also get a cheap USB drive just for stuff like this; 16GB for $3.99 at Amazon.

you can install to USB drives formatted as Xbox 360 storage. You can also delete and re-install as often as you wish. a $5 flash drive could have prevented your problem.

Why not? A 16Gb USb is literally only $4?.

You probably spend more on toothpaste.

Does it look like this? Does it have an ethernet port in the back? If so, it's a slim. However, I think some newer models may not support FMCB. You can just pirate the Nexus copy, I don't think anyone realistically cares. With that being said, once you get back to your PS2, if you will any time soon, then I can tell you how to get FMCB and the like.

You may want two memory cards for this, though. Or one large memory card. FMCB installs on your memory card and it's a huge file in comparison to most standard memory cards.

With that being said, it may be a pain to set up, but every single Armored Core game in Gens 1-3 other than Formula Front is supported flawlessly (as far as I've seen) via OPL (Open PS2 Loader) and POPSTARTER. Loading times might be a bit shorter or longer, but I've never had any sort of jarring gameplay issues that may be present on emulator.

If you're wondering any of the costs:

  1. If you need memory cards: Link - $13

  2. Cheap USB Thumb Drive Link - $5

  3. Swap Magic: Link $25

If you already have a cheap thumb drive lying around as well as spare memory cards, you only need to pay 25 bucks. You can use this to get cfw on your PS2 and then you can use a SAMBA connection to play your PS2 games. True, but a decent 16gb flash drive is $5. The adapter OP references is nearly $8. Boot drives don’t need to be fast. Sure it might take an extra minute to boot, but I personally only reboot mine for updates.

And the back up the $5 claim: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007YX9O9O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2IAEDbTHQKFY2

So do I not even need to use the tower or anything? Just plug the Motherboard to my power supply on my desk, download then unplug it and put everything together? And will this flashdrive work? Appreciate the explanation, I think I can do this sounds easy enough

Gamecube is easy to load from SD with USB Loader GX.

I think you can check into WiiFlow about loading wii games from SD. I am pretty sure USB Loader GX can't load WII from sd cards. It doesnt work for me anyways.

I am loading my wii games from USB stick. Even an 8gb usb will work but you have to load 1 game at a time.
