I've been using the Creative Katana soundbar. It doesn't steal souls, but it sure as fuck is loud. I turn the volume up to 20 (out of 100) on a good day and the floorboards are already in danger of rattling.
That said, I love it. Connects to my PC via optical and my phone via BT whenever I use a NFC tag. It's fairly great bang for buck for anyone interested in sliding a soundbar under their monitors. It's not going to give you 7.1 surround footsteps detection but you probably shouldn't use a soundbar for srsbsns esports.

does anyone know if PC speakers exist out there with the form factor of an Echo Dot or Google Home Mini? or if the aforementioned could be used to provide stereo sound from a computer via a 3.5mm connection?
just added a third monitor to my desktop setup, which leaves me with no room on my desk for my bookshelf speakers. I've currently got them laying on their side under one of the monitors, but it looks pretty janky so I'm trying to find a more streamlined setup (without shelling out hundreds for a low-profile soundbar like the Katana)
It's a Sound BlasterX Katana--love it, highly recommend it. Couldn't fit satellites under my 3 monitor setup so I tried the Razer Leviathan and this.

There are much more reasonable ones out there, but this one had the inputs I wanted and acts as a USB soundcard, not just a dumb soundbar. But warning, the USB does not work that well in linux. It seems like the volume adjust does not really work, and you can't control the LEDs as far as I am aware. It does not bother me because I am using SPDIF optical in linux and only use the USB in windows. I am dreaming of doing some USB snooping in windows to see if I can't hack a better linux driver though :)
