Electric fence poly wire and a few insulators, and this:

https://www.amazon.com/Fi-Shock-EA2M-FS-Impedance-Electric-Energizer/dp/B00BPQE130/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=electric+fence&qid=1566319890&s=gateway&sr=8-10

Almost invisible, works great at a building we own. Hurts like a mother fucker.

Squee!! Check out the new garden fencing we just bought! So excited for it to come in! My garden is going to be inspired by the garden Chip and Joanna Gaines from the show Fixer Upper on HGTV have on their farm.

It is so pretty!!

The post issue should be ok but, I would highly recommend stretching it as it keeps tension on the posts and makes them that much more durable. You could try using a post to stretch it but, investing in a wire stretcher was one of the best things I did.

Edited for link.

You can either slide larger posts over the existing posts, or use extension sleeves for the same sized post like these.

Yeah the cross supports on the top are removable and keep it still when extended. I used round gate hinges so the bolts slide in and out like this I don’t have any locking when it’s folded but the door hinges are somewhat level and keeps the posts from extending on their own

Two options:

  • Deer Netting is cheap and light. The deer can't see it, try to walk in, and meet resistance so they go away. This worked for me for about 6 months with a garden in a high deer area. It's still up 2 years later, but I got it caught in a few branches and tore the hell out of it.
  • Deer Fencing is much stronger and works by the same concept: deer don't see it, hit it, and can't figure out what's up so they go away. Price is more, but it's much more durable.

HOA's can be a real bitch to deal with because of all their rules sometimes. I'm surprised they were allowed to tear down a fence and not replace it. Having dealt with a fence that needed repair before I replaced it I'll suggest getting what they call snow fence here. It's plastic and I ran it and zip tied it to the broken fence so my dogs couldn't get through.

It's a stop gap measure but if the HOA doesn't bitch it's effective even if you have to run the posts yourself. I finally replaced my neighbors fence with 5 ft black chain link. It wasn't cheap. 50 ft ran $1300.

Well this will work just as well and give visual reassurance.

Also just so I make sure I know what your are talking about this is what I should buy, right?

Electricians don't, but farmers do (for building barbed wire/electric fences). If the newbie is sent to a sufficiently well-stocked hardware store the joke can backfire. Great fun. http://www.amazon.com/Dutton-Lainson-405-Heavy-Duty-Stretcher-Splicer/dp/B00004YK6I/

You might try these inward curved fence tops.

u/scififan444 · 1 pointr/cats

If you did it with deer fencing (fancy kind or inexpensive kind) you could do this same thing and it would be invisible.

I use this for my kids

Spoiler: My kids are dogs

I have an elec wire, made for dogs. My dogs touch it once and never go back.

I got this one at the local Feed and Grain store.

It may not be an electric fence, but those two things are ceramic electric fence insulators

https://www.amazon.com/Zareba-WP6-Corner-Ceramic-Insulator/dp/B001D0YFR0

For that price you can buy 100 plastic ones.

Edit:

not an exact match but yours look more like one with a built in lag screw.

In this case there is a difference between driveway markers and Yard/Fence Posts. Driveway markers are generally colored in some way and flex too much.

I use these cores for full contact games and they are good for Broadsword lengths up to 30"

Here is the exact brand, though this listing is for a pack of 25:

Here's a solar powered electric fence on amazon. Panels look to be smaller than 1 foot by 1 foot and it can provide protection on up to 10 miles of fencing.

It's not the strongest and is designed to shock farm animals, but I think you get the idea that a small amount of solar panels could power quite a lot of electric fence.

Well this isn't the first one that they got wrong. I've witnessed this (my dim cousin was the pisser) . you can take my word for it or you can disprove me.

You'd be a fool not to film this. ;)
