Oh cool, apparently I can just add a research paper on the Chinese population and an Aimco B916455 Right-Front Brake Hose to snag that free shipping. Why haven't I been doing this for years?

No, but neither do the other kits.

If you want a full on lift kit, they cost a considerable amount more.

And of course, the long arm kit you pick.

That list comes to 2k, and has everything you need.

a full pre-assembled long arm kit will cost you about 2k(see here: https://www.claytonoffroad.com/search-shop?field_product_vehicle_tid[]=12&field_product_categories_tid[]=66). Kits usually dont include everything you need, either... Buying parts you need separately will save you cash, and you can opt for a more expensive, or less expensive part. Be prepared to turn a wrench... the more turns you put in, the more cash you save(in most situations).

What you're asking is "I want a lift, but don't know what to ask about". The above is ALL the shit you need to get 4.5" out of your jeep without being a huge cheapass and doing it wrong. It's expensive to lift a jeep, and people seem to think that doing things like using blocks, pucks and a transfercase drop is the right way. Sure, you may only spend $100 to get 2.5 inches, but you'll see extreme vibration, issues with steering and tracking, pinion oiling, etc.

Save your cash and do it right the first time.

You can probably rig up one of these to do that if you’re handy... Sigma Brake Light Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B04S5ME/

Found what I was thinking of:

Motive Products 100 Brake System Power Bleeder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CJ5DV2I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QOBaBb9KRC55A

Motive Products 1100 Master Cylinder Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000Q6UHQK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HPBaBbS8DKJX4

Not that exact one maybe but yeah.

For the DIY brake fluid flush job, I've found these two products to be super useful:

u/FapTrainer · 2 pointsr/DRZ400

I did this to my 2001 E last year. I used this kit: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RNI4QIE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was easy wires to the battery and wires to the head light everything else is plug and play. The DRZ already has a high low beam bulb you just have to play with the three wires coming out of the headlight assembly until you figure which is high, low and ground. Other than that, it is tucking wires along the existing harness until you get to the rear. Remove the stock LED taillight and drill some holes to hold on the new light and blinkers. Disclaimer: you will drill holes in the tail fender and probably you headlight housing. I would also buy an additional tusk brake switch: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0039ZTQEO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to replace the bolt on your front brake lever. This will light up your brake light whether you use the front or back brake. Also this kit requires that you turn it on/off manually (easy switch on the handle bars), but you could wire it in to the ignition I just never did. Bottom line is that it is very easy. took me about 3 beers, that's one evening in normal time.

Get those and some new brass (not steel) fittings, and give the shop the finger.

It's just a small piece of glass - branding is unimportant. Something like this

I have also looked for this type of thing and couldnt find any clear tubes that big that also withstood E85, or gasoline. I ended up using aluminum tubing and a sight tube, ends up being lighter if you use thin wall tubing. Here is the line I use, also good for brake line sight tubes. https://www.amazon.com/Tygon-Clear-Reservoir-6-35mm-Brembo/dp/B0117SUVNO

u/the_mullet_fondler · 2 pointsr/Fixxit

Just get the tygon Stuff with appropriate diameter and clips to hold it onto the brake res.

Just to clarify, is it because you dont have enough room because you cant compress the piston(s) on one side? If so you can try either a set of piston pliers to loosen it off an see if you can press it in.

Draper Expert 30838 240 mm Motorcycle Brake Piston Pliers https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00487UO1G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6zcWCb98RWM7B

Or try a piston compresser

KESOTO Wheel Disc Brake Pad Installation Caliper Piston Compressor Press Spreader Seperator https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MFVDSG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_QAcWCb7W5EGAC

If neiter of these work and it is properly seized you will need to either rebuild the caliper and replace all the seals or replace the caliper entirely.

Does anyone have experience purchasing/using replacement parts from a brand named "HURI"? If so, what are your opinions of them?

I'm looking at replacing the master cylinder assembly on my 2002 Yamaha V Star, and came across this brand while searching for the best deal. They, by far, have the best I have found. So much so that it seems too good to be true, which I know usually means it is. Just looking for opinions on the brand. Thanks in advance.

Thank you Thank You. Would this work as a replacement as well even without the full brake upgrade?

u/inflames797 · 1 pointr/IS300

I believe these are what I'm running. They're great, name brand, no leaks, and fit perfectly.

OEM Front brake hose, fits driver and passenger side, 2004 Pontiac Sunfire, $28.27 and free shipping from Amazon.

Watch the videos, order the part, and then get ready to do it yourself. The hardest part is changing the brake fluid, and since you already had a hose rupture, that's been taken care of, so you just need to drain the rest and refill it after attaching the hose. ChrisFix has a video on that.

$170 is... really, they've just tacked on an extra charge for it. No.

If you don't want to risk Amazon, call your local auto parts stores. Ask what their prices are for a brake hose line, and buy it from them. Also study the video and buy a LARGE bottle of brake fluid. Ask to borrow a cheap wrench set and just repair your car right where it's at. It will take maybe one or two hours, maximum.
