CPU:
Gaming wise, you would be better off to go for the quad-core i7-7700K. But for editing, the extra cores & threads come in handy quickly.
However the faster quad-cores do perform very well in Photoshop that doesn't care much about high core counts.

Microphone:
Absolutely an amazing high quality microphone! Not a single microphone on a gaming headset will come close to this beast, of course it's pricey. But well worth it.
Likely, all you need is the faucet washer; possibly a valve seat. Unlikely to need the whole stem assembly. When the stem needs to be replaced the threads are worn to the point that the stem won't advance when you turn the handle, which can happen every 15 years or so.

What you have is NOT a cartridge. I have the same in my 50 year old house.

You need to unfasten the flat head screw and the rubber washer will come off, this is all that needs to be replaced. You can take that with you to the hardware store to get the correctly sized $2 replacement, or order an assorted package like this that has all the sizes you could possibly require.
Amazon? And go get a flexible downspout like this until it arrives. As others have noted, however, having the slip joint past the P trap is a code violation. That said, no one really cares.
