That's a Hamilton Hanging Guitar Stand. Love these guitar stands. I own two of them for my basses.

I'd recommend one of these for all of those guitars.

You could always just put a heavy rubber band across the tongs. Do you need a security lock to keep people/kids from accessing the guitar or just a safety lock to keep them from falling off the wall?

This rack with a large blanket to cover them up when not in use.

I do have 2 dogs, but this is a very sturdy, stable rack so really no chance of them knocking a guitar off the rack. Highly recommended. I find I'm playing a lot more often when I can just grab a guitar off the rack and go.

There's nothing better than Hercules in my opinion.

Their 5-guitar rack can hold up to 10 electric guitars by buying additional yokes.

> I'm thinking something elevated to the point of not needing to bend over to pick it up or down, as well as having a way to easily hang her bow.

In that case you want something that won't fall over when bumped. This style of String Swing clamps to a mic stand, and has a peg for hanging the bow. Notice that the cradle of the String Swing does not hang the violin by its pegs, but rather by the chin of the scroll.

If she always plays unplugged, then you could build something similar, but make sure the base is wide and stable.

I've had this one forever... I have a few others that have a little more bend to them, but they work perfectly as well. Most guitar stores sell these for $7-$10 and I see an Amazon 2-pack (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019ONS4TC?psc=1) for $12 that would probably work.

I'm not sure this is the least-expensive solution... but moving an old banjo into the closet was all this cost me!

Ok - so you're wanting to stick with the pieces you have. You said in another comment you're thrifty (me too!) and not wanting to spend much, so here's what I'd do:

Right now the dark pieces seem very harsh in the room. I'd embrace the theme of the natural wood accents, and tie in your black pieces by adding in some other natural textures! I was bored/procrastinating and did up a (very choppy) photoshop of what I would do with the space. Here you go! I edited out the clutter just for the sake of the design.

I'd love to see some sort of curtain (beaded?) in front of the vanity to make it feel like a more cohesive room. I think something like this would look really cool, although it's a bit pricy. This is more affordable. You could DIY the circles from the UO one if you like them, I'm sure!

I agree with the other poster about mounting the guitars to the wall and storing the stand.

I would make some dowel frames for your map, and hang it above the mirror. I'd also make a few smaller black and white cardstock prints at Staples (cost you about fifty cents or less per page), do the same with the frames, and stack them vertically along the space of the wall beside your closet door.

Are you crafty? You might be able to make a diffuser shade for your 'boob' light like these folks did.

I'd recommend going to Home Depot / Walmart etc and getting a couple more plants, and putting them in terra cotta pots (they're pretty inexpensive).

I would also get a few baskets and put them on the middle shelf of your bookshelf, to break up the lines and make it less overwhelming to look at.

I would get something for your makeup table to contain your makeup so it looks less cluttered.

Heres some pieces similar to what I photoshopped in that you could pick up on on a budget, but a lot of them could be thrifted if you like hunting!

Beaded Curtain

Lamp Shade

Guitar wall mounts

Linen textured curtains

Basket for makeup brushes

Baskets for shelf organization

I can't see what's going on in your bed area, but if you like my suggestions, I'd be happy to make more recommendations if you post a picture!

I keep my acoustics in the case, also I have a few higher end ones I don't keep out. But my daily players which I have about 7-8 sit on a rack like this.

u/danimalplanimal · 1 pointr/Guitar

not really, mostly convenience. I've got one of these nifty things which makes it easy to just pick up any guitar at any moment and start playing.

  1. Yep good way to do it.
  2. Wouldn't need anything bigger than 1/2 inch thick if it's not cheap wood.
  3. I'd say a minimum of 2 feet but that's just a guess.
  4. https://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Ohuhu-Electric-Acoustic-Ukulele/dp/B019ONS4TC/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=Ohuhu+Guitar+Hanger&qid=1568038018&s=gateway&sr=8-4
  5. If you might be bumping into them you might want hangers that have a strap or locking lever to hold the guitars on more secure.

Thinking about one of these guys.

Guitar wall hangers (like these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019ONS4TC) fit the Vive wands perfectly, can also be used for the HMD and/or headphones, and can be mounted to the wall using 3M command strips if you don't want to drill holes. I'm using the wooden bases of the hooks to mount my lighthouses without drilling.

Thanks m8!

I just got it lol. So much better than having to clip the neck in/out of the hanging style ones, and it's all one piece! link

You could pick up a multi-guitar stand, though the guitar sizing might pale in comparison to real ones..

Reminds me of a dream I had a couple of weeks ago of using Hercules wall mounts! But that's taking it too far... Right?

I have a couple 3 guitar stands like this, I think they're "on stage" brand and cost a little more than this, but the on stage ones I found have slots on the bottom now too. One of my bandmates has a 5 guitar stand which folds down into a road case and they'd bring it for shows where we had numerous tuning changes, eventually the top bits broke and the stand is very unstable. If you aren't planning to move them around much going cheap it okay. If you plan to disassemble and reassemble frequently, better to pay more up front and only have to buy once, rather than replacing stands later.
