If you complain enough to them, they will always ship you NEXT DAY FedEx or UPS. I sent them a letter stating if they sent me another package with LaserShip, they would lose my business. It's been 8 or so months, have not received another LaserShip package.

I can't guarantee they will do this for you, but I have been very happy since. Here was my letter to them...

>My wife ordered an item for me (http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Naga-Special-Edition-RZ01-00280500-R3/dp/B004AM5RAW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347571607&sr=8-1&keywords=razer+naga), on Monday I believe. Not sure if you can look at her account, but it's the linked account "REMOVED" on my Prime account. I could have EASILY went to a local store and purchased this item, it's in stock at my local Fry's, Microcenter and probably Best Buy. I could have had and been using this item the same day she placed the order for it.
>
>I am absolutely LIVID that you guys use LASERSHIP to deliver packages to customers. They have to be the only thing worse than USPS. I am 100% holding you, Amazon.com Inc., responsible for their ineptitude to deliver a simple package to a corporate address. I complained about their practices in a previous conversation with one of your representatives and they had issued me a full refund and promised I would get my package. Two hours later, the package was on my desk.
>
>Here's what makes them inept at the service they provide; they deliver after 8 PM (as late as 9:30 PM) to a corporate office. How late do people expect an office building to be open for deliveries? We close at 6. This is the second time they have wasted two days to try and deliver my package after 8 PM. They even log their attempt as "BUILDING CLOSED". Why the frell would they try and deliver at the same time the next day?
>
>Incompetence, pure and simple.

>You send me something that I've ordered with Amazon Prime utilizing LASERSHIP again, I will never order from you again. I don't need an apology, I don't need an excuse. I need you to live up to your promise of your delivery dates for Prime products. It's the only reason I decided to purchase your service. Since using your service I have ordered at least 25 packages, if not 30, and I don't know how many my wife has ordered. There is nothing I can get on your website that I can not get on another or at a local establishment. I choose you because of the free 2-day shipping on Prime eligible products. I have a Kindle Fire (laying on a shelf somewhere) and I've tried out your VOD service, won't miss those either.
>
>Do you feel me? I can't be the only one with this complaint, and I won't be the last. Get rid of LASERSHIT and have me back as a happy customer that tells people how awesome the convenience you potentially add to ones life with your service.

Here was their response...

I occasionally play on my laptop. I always use my Naga gaming mouse - it has a bunch of buttons that allow me to use only a few keys on the keyboard (tab, q, wasd, ctrl, shift, and alt).

My framerates are terrible unless I have the quality on ultra low. The game doesn't look nearly as pretty as it does on my ultra high desktop, but it is very playable and still fun. My laptop is an i3 with an intel M3000 integrated graphics card and 4GB of memory (for reference).

For the price, I'd recommend considering the Razer Naga. I've had this mouse for awhile now, and absolutely love it for D3.

I live in Canada and the following prices include shipping from the states (which can sometimes be $60 alone). The TV was purchased from a local Walmart. After the smoke cleared:

TrackIR: $250

Saitek X52: $170

32" Samsung TV: $370

I take pc accessories to a bit of an extreme though. The prices on some of these products have also changed drastically since I've purchased them.

Also the TV link isn't the exact same model, I think that ones a bit older.

Some other examples:

Razer Naga Molten: $100

Razer Tiamat 7.1: $220 +

PC gaming is not cheap. Over the past 2-3 years I've spent a solid (rough estimate) $2500. I tend to go a bit overboard, too.

Thing is.. with a shopping list like this it seems quite intimidating. In reality.. I can spend $100-$200 in a weekend going out drinking with my friends. What does that get you? A shitty sunday hangover. These things will last me years, if not decades. In the big picture these figures are chump change (I work a minimum wage job).

Video games rock!

THIS THING. UGH. So frustrating. Hotkeys on a mouse are not as useful as I thought they would be.

u/MickRaider · 2 pointsr/cad

Most designers like to get gaming mice with lots of hotkeys. Like this

Though since I use solidworks, my scroll wheel is all I need

Im rocking my Razer Naga Molten Edition now for over 6 Years (https://www.amazon.de/Razer-Maus-Naga-Molten-SE/dp/B004AM5RAW) and I have no issue whatsoever.

I really love this edition of the Naga, since newer version have thicker button, which feels really uncomfortable.

But to answer your question, its not neccessary at all, but imo its worth it.

Unless you can get your hand on an old naga, i recommend a logitech mouse

If you're ever unsure you can use camelcamelcamel to see the history of prices. Like I mentioned earlier, you can see how much the price went up after third party sellers started listing the item instead of amazon

http://camelcamelcamel.com/Razer-Naga-Molten-Gaming-Mouse/product/B004AM5RAW

Looks like it averaged $60-65 new while it was stil carried so I'd say $30-40 would be your best bet depending on wear. Good luck!

same price elsewhere.

just bought one of these today for 62$ on amazon with free 2 day shipping with amazon prime.

I spent about 4 hours researching and debating. And here were my main findings. (Note: amazon links ahead) It came down between the Logitech g600 and the Razer Naga / Razer Naga Molten. I really wanted to buy the razer naga molten because it looked the coolest of the three to me. I ruled out the basic razer naga is that the 2012 and 2013 versions only come in emerald green (one of my least favorite colors) which is a minute contention but it was a big enough thing to make me look at other options. When it came down to it I went for durability, economical value, and the most amount of buttons where I found the g600 to be the most superior. Here is the video that pretty much sold me on the g600 from youtube. As well a job as they do in the vid, I feel the speakers are biased towards the g600, but they still provide enough info and personal experience that I don't have to sway my own opinion. Great video review, and I highly advise if you are going to buy a new mmo gaming mouse to shoot for either the g600 or one of the three current models of the razer naga (my vote for the basic version, especially if you can find a 2011 blue version). Another more economy valued alternative is the anker 8000 dpi high precision gaming mouse, which has a total of 9 buttons and great value for the sweet piece of tech you're getting, not even mentioning its very ergonomic shape. Hope this helps. Please note that all the amazon links are to different vendors and I have no affiliation to any of them. Good luck!

edit: fixed links

The headphones there are the HyperX Cloud II, the mouse is a Razer Naga Molten edition, the mouse in the background there is the Logitech G502, the tablet in the back is a Wacom Intuos Draw, and the keyboard is of course a Poker 3 with blue switches, and These key caps!

Edit: Updated with links!

I was hoping for some criticism on both the parts I selected and my thought process.

Primary Use: Gaming

Secondary Use: CAD

Also, trying to go for a Black and red theme to match the Razer Naga Molten mouse I have

Here is my current build:

Here is my thought process on the Parts:

CPU: I went with LGA 1150 over LGA 2011 because All the article I read said that games wont take advantage of the advantages of 2011 and I went with an i7 over i5 because CAD software would take advantage of the extra cores.

CPU Cooler: I like the looks of water coolers over air coolers. H100i has excellent reviews and with the color changing LED on the cooling block will go nice with the black and red theme.

Motherboard: Asus has a great reputations for great Bios and great Fan control, which initially drew me to them. but the great integrated sound card and many gaming features as well as the convenient color scheme made this what I consider the perfect choice. I didnt go with the higher tier Asus ROG motherboards because i didnt think the added benefited were enough to justify the cost.

Memory: 16gb seems more than enough and I can always upgrade to 32 later if necessary. I went with this main specific one mainly for the color scheme. I am getting a compatibility note that I posted about Here

Storage: Went with typical SSD for OS and key apps and HDD for storage. Otherwise I chose based on brands I selected.

Video Card: 780 Ti seemed best bang for buck at the moment. Chose this specific one for color scheme. I know there is a lot of debate on which video card is the best so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Case: Mainly looks, though I will replace the panel window to remove those perforated fan holes that block the view of the internals.

Power supply: I went modular for all the usual reasons. 80+ platinum is great. 860W is a bit more than my current needs (469W) but if I choose to do 2 way SLI later I need the higher rating.

Optical Drive: I wanted a Blu-Ray Reader chose a brand I thought would be good.

That's about it. Any criticism would be greatly appreciated.

Purchase Advice Request

Old mouse was starting to fall apart, brought a new mouse in the same series but it's way too big and way too heavy for me to comfortably use and is causing me pain. UK vendors preferably but most places ship worldwide. The only thing it needs to have is numbers on the left hand side of the mouse (Ideally I would like it to be as close to the Razer Naga Molten which was my old mouse)

  • Games: mostly Smite, but I play everything, Minecraft, Visual Novels, RPGS, etc.
  • Hand Preference: Right
  • Budget: No budget, but work around £100
  • Hand Size: 18-19 cm length, about 10 cm width
  • Grip: Claw
  • Weight: The Amazon page for the Molten claims it's 453.6grams. So around that
  • Sensitivity: No major preference, currently using 4500 DPI
  • Connectivity: Wired
