I recommend the Zowie EC1-A (I have the older version of this mouse, but just read the first review on that page, the guy nails everything).

I also came from a Deathadder and love this mouse even more (with my only gripe being the side thumb buttons, just like the guy in the review above).

The shape of the EC1-A is very similar to the DA, however if the DA is shaped like )( on the sides, the EC1 is shaped like )). A small difference, but one that you will quickly adapt to. It fits your hand like a glove.

The EC1 beats out the DA in a few different aspects:

  • Very light rubber cord

  • Huge mousefeet (with a spare set included)

  • Stiffer switches (never a miss-click)

  • No software to fuck with

I think the DA beats the EC1 on two points:

  • Better thumb buttons
  • Better scroll wheel for browsing internet and all around gaming (but Zowie's has more rigid/harder notches which I prefer in FPS games)

At this point I will never buy another mouse that isn't Zowie, for FPS gaming.

If you want a simple set of starter peripherals, I'd go for Logitech G402 for a mouse, SteelSeries 6Gv2 for a keyboard and HyperX Cloud II for a headset.

The best option for a mouse would be for you to make a list of features that you require (how many buttons? Ambidextrous/ergonomic design? Wired/Wireless? Lighting preference?) and come back here for a list of mice that satisfy all or most of your requirements. Then you would go to a shop to test how each of those mice feel in your hand and choose the one that is the most comfortable. Buying a mouse on a recommendation is likely to end with you getting a mouse that is not comfortable.

For a keyboard, as a beginner, a standard layout mechanical keyboard would probably be the best bet. However, mechanical keyboards come in various switches, so it would be best for you to spend a few bucks to buy a keyswitch tester online and find which you like best. From there, you could come here or /r/MechanicalKeyboards for suggestions.

For your headset, HyperX Cloud II is an excellent choice and will be pretty much impossible to beat for the price. And any better headset will cost you twice what the HyperX Cloud II does, making it an even better option. In fact, I got the HyperX Cloud II as a Christmas present for my little sister. Meanwhile, if you had other uses for headphones, buying a more expensive pair of headphones with something like the Antlion ModMic would be a good choice.

Edit:
>The g502 looks like a transformer

How about Zowie EC1-A then? I have owned an older version of that mouse for close to 3 years and it still works flawlessly. It is also an extremely simple mouse, with no drivers or firmware of any kind to trip you up.

Isn't the point of minimalism to have few design options?

I kid, but those minimalist options are out there but they aren't heavily marketed.

Cases:
Lian Li
Fractal

Keyboards:
Logitech (Turn the RGB off)
Steelseries

Mice
Zowie (CSGO pros love this mouse)
Logitech

You just have to look around. I normally find out what pros use, they generally get the most basic gear possible to avoid any complications or distractions.

This mouse is fine for it's price, esp if you got it for the $25.

I recently tried several mouses from competitors to see if any matched the Deathadder feel and shape, and I came to like the

This was good for MMOs and replaced my deathadders:

I bought this also to replace my G600 for a deathadder feel that was raved about online but it was too small for me. It's got amazing reviews online for any gaming though.

The G500 is slightly larger than the EC1-A. That being said, where you actually put your fingers will be a similar place even though the G500 is much wider; the G500 has a thumb groove and wing that makes the mouse much wider.

I don't know if you like big/small mouse. But if you are a gamer or at least play some games go with 'optical mouse'.

This is the one I'm using right now(it's big) link

u/RagingAlpaca546 · 1 pointr/leagueoflegends

Don't go super expensive. League doesn't require a state-of-the-art mouse like other competitive games, such as CS:GO. I, personally, use a zowie fk1. Pretty reliable simple mouse.

u/nicholas_eSportsGear · 1 pointr/MouseReview

I'd recommend the Zowie EC1-A or EC2-A and the FK2.

The EC1-A is closer to the weight of the Sensei at 97 grams, while the EC2-A is closer to the shape of the Sensei.

If you don't mind going lighter than 97 grams, the Zowie FK2 is even closer to the shape of the Sensei but significantly lighter at 90 grams.

I've reviewed all Zowie FK mice, including the FK2, if you're interested, but you'll find plenty of useful info about the EC1/EC2-A on Amazon reviews.

Let me know if that helps. (:

Mouse Pad - Reflex Lab Pro

I've used this everyday for over 6 months now and it's holding up well. One of my favorite purchases, having so much space for my mouse hand is great for competitive FPS games.

Mouse - Zowie EC1-A

This mouse is the real deal. Great responsiveness, feels great in my hand, a button with 4 DPI settings that I can't accidentally press in the middle of play, and no annoying software to install. Very simple with just 5 buttons.

Keyboard - Corsair Vengeance K65 Mechanical

Wasn't my first choice of keyboard, but I have no regrets. Keys feel great with red switches, although it's very loud without any dampeners. Recommend o-rings if you have an open mic.

Wrist Rest - Glorious Gaming

Despite the cringey name, they seem to have a decent reputation for their products, and though I've had mine for a short time, it's lasted well and has been very comfortable. I was unsure of the thickness at first, but I find I prefer a thicker wrist rest.

Headphones - Superlux HD681 EVO

I'm not anything close to an audiophile, so I can't comment too much on the sound. They're plenty loud enough, and sound decent enough to me. More importantly, for me anyway, is their durability and comfortability. They've lasted me nearly 2 years now and the foam pieces are only just starting to crack and wear down with heavy use. They even included a spare pair, which I haven't felt the need to use yet. They're great to use for extended periods of time as well. They don't start to bother me unless they're not sitting right, or I've just spent too long at the computer.

Microphone - Zalman Zm-Mic1

Has a 10ft wire and is under $10. It's kind of hard to beat, as far as mics go. Very durable, mine is 5 years old. I even spilled rum and coke in it once, still works fine. The sound quality is rather lacking, but that's to be expected from a mic this cheap.

Gamepad - Xbox One controller for emulators, Steam Controller for everything else

Zowie EC1-A, or the EC2-A if you have smaller hands

https://www.amazon.com/Zowie-Ergonomic-Optical-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00S9SH7C4

It's called a gaming mouse, and it works really well for gaming. It's just a very comfortable, ergonomic mouse with a fast response time and high DPI options.

u/Radical_4D · 1 pointr/pcgaming

Here you go - https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-E-Sports-Ergonomic-Optical-Gaming/dp/B00S9SH7C4

That is the preferred mouse of 40% of CSGO pro players. If your into shootin stuff you cant get better than Zowie. They have many different mice and I wish I could palm them all. This one in particular has a good grip.

It's the 30th of March 2016 and I've just refreshed the Amazon page: http://www.amazon.com/Zowie-Gear-Ergonomic-Optical-EC1-A/dp/B00S9SH7C4

"In stock on April 1, 2016." (changed from "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months." - which the EC2-A still seems to display)

So I've just excitedly placed my EC1-A order and am banking on it having Huano switches given the characteristics of all Zowie product pages across the world of late. I don't really want Omrons (they'd better if they were slightly clickier and more durable), which were in my two previous IME3.0.

Not sure why the description for the EC1-A has "24-step scroll wheel" whereas the EC2-A lists "16-step scroll wheel" - is that an error or just a difference between the new-new ECs?

Yo, dont skimp on a mouse, save up a little bit before you buy one, buy a nice mouse. Your mouse depends on your aim, how good you are. For example if you have $100, you wanna buy a cheap keyboard, and the best possible mouse you can. I recommend this mouse, a little bit out of your price range, but save up for it

u/Sam443 · 1 pointr/GlobalOffensive

Ok so i think im torn between that and this https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-E-Sports-Ergonomic-Optical-Gaming/dp/B00S9SH7C4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1493925391&sr=8-2&keywords=Zowie+ZA11

but im leaning towards the one you said because of the price and better sensor.

u/Zantanimus · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I rocked a deathadder 2013 for a while and ran into a same issue with the doubleclciking. For something similar, I would consider going with Zowie, which is owned by BenQ, the monitor company that makes some of the best 144hz panels on the market. With Zowie mice, I use an EC-1A which has a nearly identical shape to that of the deathadder, if you want the transition to be smooth for your muscle memory.

For something less expensive, consult the wiki, or roll with a magicforce 108 (since it seems like you need a 10key at an affordable pricepoint) that just came out. They make great starter mechs and have a ton of entry level switch options. I've been rocking a Magicforce 68 key for the better part of the year and have had zero problems with it yet. (Still working on getting my first "real" mech board put together, heh.)

As for headphones, you'll always be better off rolling with a dedicated set of headphones and a separate mic attachment for the price. For a good use in FPS, I'd recommend the Audio Technica ATH-AD700X paired with an Antlion ModMic for a great entry level headset and mic that will give you better positional awareness because of the soundstage.
