A variant of this

The price swings wild on that, and shipping is a bitch, the thing is heavy as hell.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006JGG9FE/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ( I have only been using this for a few days... but even with 6 27inch monitors it is really stable, it is tight with 27inch monitors however, 24 inches would probably fit great.)

I have one that is holding my monitors and is tough like a tank. I know I am a weirdo for even mentioning it. I got buried there ... haha :)

Here is the one I personally own and have tested and works:

Also don't let the price fool you.... I paid for the exact same model $300. Now it's $150.

DP Hub, 6 Monitor Stand

As far as monitor stands and DP hubs - these are probably more efficient to buy locally.

You have 6 27-inch 1440p monitors with VESA 100mm mounts, which is tons of screen estate. A good quad-core i5 can handle anything you might want it to handle, and 16GB of RAM because you will have tons of software open to populate all that screen estate. Reliable PSU from Seasonic.

Preliminary research suggests that this is the best mount:

The problem with VR is that you are afraid of running into objects which limits what you can do. It is not like a real life mountain hiking trail. Treadmills have existed for decades and they are still not common in homes. VR would cause people to fall off of treadmills. If you have the money for it, you could setup 6 TV's around your treadmill. Something like the arrangement shown here: https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Standing-Grommet-Supports-002-0023/dp/B006JGG9FE

Dual GPU, and this is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Monitor-Standing-Grommet-Supports-002-0023/dp/B006JGG9FE
The five 27" are mounted on that and the 43" is just sitting on the desk.
