Read the entire quote.
> For PS4 that means X will be your confirm and O your cancel and so forth.

If you want more info, here's the review for reference.

By the way for Australian people who want it, none of those sellers above seem to deliver to us but surprisingly the AU Amazon seems to stock it here.

Here you go! Mayflash MAGIC NS

If you do pick this up, be sure to update it to the latest firmware that can be found on Mayflash's website. The most recent firmware added support for the PS4 controller's gyroscope which is what you'll want if you intend on using motion controls in games!

If you have another controller you like to use (Xbox or PS4), you can always get a dongle to use it with the Switch.

Just pick that up. Use your Xbone Controller on switch. Controls work exactly the same as on PC

I actually just ordered a converter on Amazon that comes with a usb type c to usb adaptor for use in portable mode 2 for 25 bucks. Here's the one in case you are curious

One of these bad boys. After I updated the firmware and made sure there was a clear line of sight it basically works flawlessly including vibration

Get this adapter

Around $20. You can directly plugin your PS4 controller since it has an USB slot converter. You can also use a Wii, Wii U Pro, Xbox (360 and One I believe), and other PS4 controllers wired or wireless.

  1. Yes

  2. Yes

  3. There have been reports of nonofficial chargers bricking the Switch or causing other problems.

  4. I used this one which mostly works fine with my PS4 controller, but occasionally the analog stick will get stuck in one direction and I'll have to restart the system.

Heres a better look. The red dongle is what im talking about If you want to use the Mayflash in portable or docked. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074JZPS39?psc=1

Yea I use both and both work great, I recommended the 8bitdo dongle since it is slightly cheaper.

Hey, so if the Mayflash Magic-NS lets you connect Switch joy-cons (as one controller) to a PS3, and ds3vita and MiniVItaTV are options to let you connect PS3 controllers to a Vita.....would you be able to connect joy-cons to a Vita?

Or any doubts about why it might not work?

u/Thanatos- · 1 pointr/NintendoSwitch

I'm kinda interested in it if it works well. The normal Pro Controller is too heavy. Long play sessions with it and my hands start hurting. Its not just me getting old because i have this dongle and using the Wii U Pro controller with it and can game all day with it. Would just keep using it but there are some issues with it in Breath of the Wild. Control Sticks sometimes dont return to the center registering as a slight tilt have issues navigating/moving the icon in the Map as well. I think the issues could be fixed with some Dead Zone adjustment or other configuration but the Switch doesn't allow "USB" controllers to be configured.

I ended up buying one of these, it lets you use a variety of different controllers with the Switch and is a good alternative to getting a Switch Pro controller. I bought it to use my WiiU Pro controller on the Switch and it'll be good to use as a second controller when I eventually do buy the Switch Pro.

I have one of these, but it's to use a PS4 controller on a Switch (it basically lets you use any console controller on anything). You can use it on both systems, but have to reset the controller to sync it to the other system again.

Never had an Xbox, so I don't know if those work the same way.

For PC, I just use a Logitech F710, so I don't have to worry about it. It costs more than the Mayflash, though you could go with the F310 if you wanted. You 100% want a USB extension cable to get that receiver away from the PC's USB ports, though; I was hating life playing Skyrim until I realized this.

I'll mention that I actually don't have this product and can't speak to its quality.

I have a very similar product from MayFlash which works excellently. This one costs 5 dollars more but it comes with a male USB C to female USB A adapter so you could technically use it in portable mode if you had a stand that allows you to plug stuff in to the port on the bottom.

I can easily connect a dualshock 4, a Wii U pro Controller, or an Xbox one X controller to this and it works great.

One thing to note though, it doesn't allow you to remap buttons, so it takes some getting used to learning to press circle on a dualshock 4 to press "A" on switch, X to press "B", etc.

Edit: oh and one more thing it’s one controller per adapter. So you can’t buy one of these and connect 4 dualshocks to it. Well technically you can but they all would control the same player on the game.

are u using the magic-ns and if so do u think its okay to buy it here since its cheaper and comes with some extras?

Reposting because it was taken down due to an Amazon link having the referral in by accident

Thank you for the reply!

I know I need one, but I'm not quite sure what to get. I've now been trying to find an older model, the "fat" dongle with the sync button on the side, but it's so old that I can't find it anywhere and feel comfortable that I'll get the old model instead of the same POS I have now. Here's a comparison picture of the old and new official dongles.

I've seen knockoff dongles on Amazon that supposedly work for multiple controller types to connect to PC or Switch, and I don't know if those will work, something like this Mayflash Adapter but I don't know if that will work or if the controller will be recognized as it should be because I'm going to be using this on Steam games and I already run into a lot of issues with their Steam Controller setup in Big Picture mode with the XbOne controller plugged in through USB. Maybe I'm a blithering idiot, but it seems to choke up a lot on me or bug out trying to set up an officially recognized XbOne controller, buttons like R3 and "Select" refuse to work for me for some reason if I keep the Steam Controller Setup active by default and I had to turn off Steam's Controller Setup for games like Assassin's Creed series and No Man's Sky for example.

If I can get the old "fat" dongle somewhere, I already downloaded the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog site for Win7/8.1 and I'm sure that will work. In case I can't find one, do you have a recommendation if I can't find the OEM M$ "fat" adapter?

So I use a MayFlash Magic-NS(Nintendo Switch) with my switch. It allows me to basically connect any controller I want to my switch and use it. I mainly use it with either my xbox controller, or most of the time, my WiiU Pro controller. The Switch Pro controller is too expensive for me, so I just paid $20 on Amazon for the MayFlash and used my existing hardware. Only thing is, when I don’t have it in the dock, I have to use the USB-C connector, and then I can’t use tabletop mode, so that’s nice.

Here’s a video documenting the great uses of it:

Just get a PS4 stick and then get this for your Switch:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074JZPS39/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0J0wCbHKGMPM2

It's what I use for my switch and it works beautifully.

u/NebLledeb · 1 pointr/Blazblue

There’s an adapter that’s called the Magic NS that lets you use basically any controller on the switch and I bought it just for Blazblue because I play on my PlayStation Hori Fighting Commander. I’ve been using it since I got it about 3 weeks ago and it works great and I feel no input lag. the only problems I have with it is that it was kind of annoying to initially setting it up and that it can feel kinda weird using a Xbox or PlayStation controller on it because the bottoms are kinda mismatched. It follows the Switch Pro Controller layout so A button is on Xbox’s B button and on PlayStations O button. But it works great, I highly recommend if you don’t want to buy a new fighting game controller
