Thanks for replying this M.2 is getting great speeds from numerous people on Ryzen. My question is, does it apply on z390 boards too?
Get the PCIE 4.0 version of the drive https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Internal-Extreme-Performance-SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-1TB/dp/B07TLYWMYW

if you do go for the x570 get this nvme instead of the one listed and dont bother with the 250gb samsung evo at all, this will do the work of both of those drives as it is pcie 4.0 and much faster then either https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TLYWMYW/ref=twister_B07TN1ZMLY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
LMAO! Am I glad that your indulging me =P
A couple notes about the build that I would correct before moving ahead.
The Gen 4 variant is on sale too € 149.99 (€ 199.99 - € 50.00)
Both offers expire in 85 hours from now
What monitor are you going to be using?
Also check out the sabrent rocket 4.0 it's a little cheaper and a little faster.

Instead of using PCIe factor for your NVMe SSD, why not use M.2 form of it instead like Inland Performance or Sabrent Rocket ? Either one costs less than that PCIe add in too.
Also I'm not sure what kind of OC'ing you're going to be planning on doing with the true 14 phase VRM, or if you need that third M.2 slot, or if you need the additional 2.5GbE ethernet port (local network for media transfer?), but if none of those are true, couldn't you downsize to the AORUS PRO WiFi motherboard instead for $100 savings?
e: thanks for the gold!
Sabrent Rocket PCIE4 NVME is cheaper and faster: https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Internal-Extreme-Performance-SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-1TB/dp/B07TLYWMYW/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=sabrent+rocket+nvme&qid=1570601767&sr=8-4
You will see much better performance with two or more extra storage devices. A 250GB SATA SSD for your OS & apps, a PCIe 4 M.2 SSD for your Preview files/cache/scratch. And a large 4TB mass storage for final rendering.
The whole reason you're getting the x570 platform is for the PCIe 4.0 bandwidth. Might as well get a PCIe 4 SSD. The one I linked is $100 cheaper than the Samsung 970 which is only PCIe 3.
Good luck! Hope to see your build completed soon! Also forgot to mention, remember to pick up PCIE 4.0 ssds like this one or else you're wasting the 4.0 slots. Only 30$ more than your Samsung ones but it's at a whopping up to 5000 MB/s (read) and 4400 MB/s (write) versus Samsung's up to 3500 MB/s read and write speed! Your raw 8k footage will be demolished by the speeds. Also, check out this motherboard tier list to figure out what you wanna get. Just look at all the very top motherboards then compare them by the features you want. When you're at the high end motherboards you're honestly getting diminishing gains and it's mainly for extra features or expansions and not necessarily performance. Some might have more m.2 slots if you wanna run numerous m.2 ssds or more USB slots. For example, the msi x570 godlike can do 3 4.0 m.2 slots and it'll come with a pcie extension to add 2 more regular m.2 slots whereas the 360$ crosshair only has 2 4.0 with no expansion . But the msi godlike is 700$ so yeah haha. Just make sure the motherboard supports the features you need or want.
Thanks for the quick response. I really like this case. I've been going around and around with all these parts and it's starting to make my head spin, then I forget what I liked about certain ones in the first place. I've saved so many on PCPartpicker lol.
I have a couple of questions if you wouldn't mind:
- What makes this motherboard the right choice? I have looked at what seems like 30 motherboards, and they all look the same with the exception of WIFI. Do they all support crossfire/SLI (or do some only do crossfire, some only SLI)? Should I even care? Is Dual GPU worth it?
- Could I save some money by buying a windows CD key? I see a lot of people buying them for like 15 bucks
- Do you think M.2 is not worth it? Because of heat, space etc. What about NVME. There's this Sabrent drive:

I realize that this is early adoption, but i'm assuming eventually the prices will come down.
