I deleted Facebook, and hide my keys, wallet, and phone. I have thought about getting this .When I get lost in booze during my benders I am trying to get off this planet. I am not trying to become inebriated / enlightened and tell people how I feel, buy things I suddenly want, and go places I didn't know I had much an urge to go to. It used to be a big problem for me, but hasn't been for a few months now. I stock up and I stay home. I spend all the time between these drinking sessions trying to be dry for as long as possible. I actually locked the keys inside with the weed. The manual states to never do that, but whatever. Giving the set of keys to a trusted third party would also work of course, but then I'd potentially feel compelled to retrieve the keys, so I lock them up.

Look into purchasing a time-lock safe. That one's pricey and more of an example I went with because the digital display example image was almost 4:20.
That little plastic thing will not stop you if you really want what's inside. Speaking from experience. Try this one.

I wouldn't have a gun accessible in a situation like yours. I wouldn't feel the need to get it completely out of the house, but I would make it hard to access. You could get a time-lock safe for your carry weapon.
Even though I have no sleepwalking issues and I don't walk around half-awake, I don't keep my firearm accessible at night. I have kids, and kids do stupid things like sneak out, sneak in, come home at all hours, have friends over, etc. I did recently pick up pepper spray to have at home.
