this is the kind I use. For a man with no hips, I feel these belts are the greatest invention ever made. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00XNEVDLK/?coliid=I3BZ4A5REPGYOA&colid=EINBMWW0HNJ3&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

That's when you buy on of these and realize it's the holy grail of belts!

u/cybercifrado · 7 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

Who needs a hole-punch when you can just ratchet it down? I have one of these and freaking love it.

u/schmigz · 6 pointsr/BuyItForLife

I am particular to belts that do not have holes. They seem to last so much longer without the holes and are more comfortable and can be easily adjusted after that big meal,

There have been many discussions about belts here. I now have three that I've seen mentioned:

  1. Arc'teryx Conveyer Belt
  2. Grip6
  3. Arcade Adventure

I rank them Arcade, Grip6, Conveyer. I think the stretch of the Arcade belt is really nice, and makes a lot of sense for a belt... particularly when moving around. I don't know how long it will hold up though, as stretchy things tend to lose elasticity over time. The grip6 and Conveyer are more standard tough nylon materials, but I find the tightening mechanism on the grip6 is much better than the Conveyer, which I have a really hard time getting on tightly. Overall I think I'd recommend the grip6 without context, but personally I find the Arcade does the better job. For context, I'm wearing them with Strongdarts which I find a bit loose in the waist. Maybe I should have sized down.

I've also ordered the DSPTCH Keyring since giving up on the key piece. I will post about it next week. I'm also becoming more and more infatuated with Acronym but so unwilling to pay for what I'm looks like a fairly transient trend. But I like the style.
u/ebc2003 · 3 pointsr/frugalmalefashion

I made my own and it turned out nice if you leave it the natural color and let it darken naturally, However if you want to dye it you may be better off getting this belt and pairing it with a nice buckle. I just bought the dark brown one and matched it with this buckle and it looks nice. If you only plan on making one belt the cost of dye, etc may end up being more then getting a comporable one pre-dyed.

This belt is wider than any belt I have had, but still fits all my pants and looks fine in a business casual workplace. I have one of the cheap black belts that I reserve for suits since it still looks nice, just wears out to fast to wear daily.

u/RanTheRedCedar · 2 pointsr/OkCupid

I hope you have thermal underwear in that mix somewhere. Thermals are key.

When I ski I wear 3 thermal tops and one bottom with These snowpants and this belt.

You probably don't need something that expensive for just messing around in the snow. Check for closeout sales if you actually want to get one. Last years winter outdoor jackets/pants and some gear is always 20-60% off.

u/CoolHandLukeZ · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

$43 on Amazon. It looks like they have their products for sale in certain hardware stores if you want to see it in person before purchasing...there is a dealer locator on their website. Amazon reviews complain about the bleeding that the previous poster talked about...so keep that in mind.

u/_ILoveBread_ · 2 pointsr/keto

I purchased this one a few weeks ago. Best belt I've ever owned

u/MizarsAsterism · 2 pointsr/Firearms

I have this belt, I think. I haven't carried with it but it's pretty good, stiff, and I've heard good things about carrying with it.

Another note, if your state allows you the choice whether or not to get a manual safety, have in mind the likelihood of you moving to another state where one is required. There are arguments for/against manual safeties, but they're all moot if you end up living somewhere that legislates your choice for you.

I ordered the Fifth Avenue in Dark Chili. Picture here.

Which of these two belt colors is a closer match to the Dark Chili?

Mahongany Belt

or

Burnt Umber Belt

u/jcob · 2 pointsr/tf2

These look like what red scout is wearing, rolled up.

Or these

Belt

I believe these are what he is actually wearing, rolled up

Tape this to the bag

Do you have a target? He does not seem to really be wearing baseball pants, more along the lines of rolled up work pants or really look like rolled up umpire pants, these should be an easy match, roll them up into shorts like he does and voila! A perfect match! Or maybe even a pair of dickie like shorts that you can roll up a bit. You need that roll on the bottom and you need charcoal color!

u/Frustrated_Nerd · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

I can't promise it's a "buy it for life" but I bought a Marino belt and I can't speak highly enough of it. There's no loops and the clamp doesnt appear to damage it at all. I'm a pretty big guy who abuses everything. I've had it for about 2 years and it barely looks 'gently used'.

u/someguynamedjohn13 · 2 pointsr/keto

The slidebelt is the best invention when losing weight. You can easily cut off the excess belt, re-attach the buckle and you don't have to worry about making unsightly new belt holes.

u/bluegrassgazer · 2 pointsr/running

I odered this and really like it.

Yes, i think so - these are not the webbing/canvas "Boy Scout" belts from when I was a kid. I am linking to a random one I found on Amazon. the last time I was in Costco they had a couple to choose from also.

You could always try getting a belt in this style: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FOR2CY/ - you can just cut length off of the belt as your waist size goes down!

Review: I could stop being lazy and work harder to get to the fitness level i keep complaining about not being at. I do work out, but i could definitely try harder.

I am generally happy with my life. I am about to get a great job, a good place to live, good friends, the best family, I'm gonna start college again in the fall, a really cute woman is interested in me for reasons i can't begin to understand, and I get to volunteer and see puppies whenever i want. my life rocks right now! :D

this would be nice to get if I win. I kinda have a collection starting.

Akers makes a half-decent reinforced leather belt for ~$45 with Prime shipping. Price changes based on size and color, but averages $45. I've been meaning to post a review comparing it to my Beltman belts for a while now; just haven't got around to it.

u/pandazerg · 1 pointr/BuyItForLife

I've worn this belt by Occidental Leather every day for the past three years and aside from some minor scuffs and a small divot from my rear belt loop, it still looks and feels almost like new; despite having keys/knives/phone/badge clipped to it every day.

Prior to getting this belt I was in a similar position as you, my belts would last a few months before parts of the leather would start to wear out forcing me to buy a new belt.

The company that makes the belt, Occidental Leather manufacture their products right here in Occidental California, and their primary business is heavy duty construction belt systems, and this "casual" belt is manufactured to the same quality. The only downside is that the company only offers this one "casual belt" which is fairly utilitarian.
While it works for everyday wear, and even "business casual" to some extent (with nice jeans), it doesn't really work for professional/formal outfits.

I wear this on the regular: Columbia Men's Military Web Belt - Casual for Jeans Adjustable One Size Cotton Strap and Metal Plaque Buckle,Black,One Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FOR2CY/

I was going to suggest this one since I've been using it for the past few months and really like it... but apparently it's out of stock. However, this one looks similar and appears to have a lot of options, so that might be worth checking out.

Oh okay I’m 5’10 so I guess I’d be fine lol. I’ll probably put in my order for this then Inzer Advance Designs Forever Buckle Belt 10MM Medium Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011PZ0YZE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_u6tVCbJDAC16F I don’t really see myself having an issue with the prong belt (I’ve tried a belt from a friend before with a prong and it was fine)

u/distraughtklownz · 1 pointr/Fallout

here. buy this and rejoice.

u/blendx3 · 1 pointr/intermittentfasting

ummm thank you! my husband has gone from a 48 to a 38 and I'm literally taking drills to his belts. also, this is a great option https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XNEVDLK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

they adjust from a 28 to 44 or 36 to 54 and are designed to be cut.

u/Vectorbug · 1 pointr/running

I run commute 5-7 miles each way so I carry wallet, iPhone, keys and sometimes garage door clicker. I just bought this fanny pack (errr, running belt, w/e). It's perfect for wallet and keys. My running shorts have a little pocket in the back for the 3rd slab/item. It's been a really good combination. Can't attest to its long-term durability but I forget I'm wearing it.

I've also gone running in cycling jerseys for their pockets. This one in particular is almost perfect, except its too short in the front for running - however I'm 6'1" and own the Medium because I'm not a heavy guy.

The night light material, full zip and pockets in the back is perfect. The fit hugs my body so it wicks very efficiently and the junk in the pockets doesn't bounce around. If only the front was a little bit longer, but when I wear my singlet, the jersey is out of sight.

u/TarpyMcTarpFace · 1 pointr/Ultralight

Check out Arcade belts. They are made with elastic so they strech a bit which makes them nice for when you are active. Also the buckles are really low profile so they arent as annoying under a backpack hipbelt buckle. I love mine.

https://smile.amazon.com/Arcade-Womens-Elastic-Stretch-Belts/dp/B01MZAJFEO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1550559370&sr=8-1&keywords=arcade+belts

u/lipstickandsteak · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

Have you tried a expandable waist pack / runners' belt? It's not structured like a traditional fanny pack but solves the "Where do I put my keys?" question. Something like this

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Fitness

Running belt? That's the one I use and I love it.

u/TakezoKensei · 1 pointr/videos

Amazon link

They're on amazon for $39. The cousin's competitor belt is also on there for neutrality's sake.

u/Some_Random_Weeb · 1 pointr/steinsgate

It's a bit late, but if you haven't found a belt already, a D-Ring belt is the type you'll probably be looking for. I used one for my Okabe cosplay about 4-5 years back and it worked perfectly. I found one on amazon that's the style you'd be wanting to use

That looks like it would work, too! Thanks for the recommendation.

u/Made_of_Scarsss · 1 pointr/longisland

yeah, that's honestly the best route to go. hmm, you know i've never heard of someone buying belts from a guitar supply store, seems interesting. i, myself just use these types of belts i find them far more comfortable than the conventional hoop belt.

u/Ryantwinkletoes · 1 pointr/zelda
u/RailsIsAGhetto · 1 pointr/Fitness

The 10mm Forever belt? Yes. Love it. And you can get it on Amazon much quicker if you don't mind a black one.

u/Ketomatic · 1 pointr/loseit

There are cheaper options that do similar shit, like cloth belts or elastic belts.

That aside, the mission belts do look awesome! If I wasn't such a cheap skate I'd think about it. (As it is, putting a new hole in my current belt is free, I like free).

u/willtolivehunting · 1 pointr/streetwear

I made my own version of this with an old ratchet strap. I'm going to redo it once I have the time, with a newer strap and the buckle from this (literally the same belt alyx studios make). It's one of those things that's really easy to diy though, and you can add your own personal touch to it!

u/ShiKage · 1 pointr/zelda

That's pretty dang sweet. Do you think a strap like this would support it? https://www.amazon.com/Hyrule-Zelda-Sword-Leather-Strap/dp/B0047Y9C7W/ref=pd_sim_200_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0047Y9C7W&pd_rd_r=756QY05ENZB98177MR28&pd_rd_w=NvCth&pd_rd_wg=3Eg0k&psc=1&refRID=756QY05ENZB98177MR28

I've never bought a Master Sword replica before, but I've always had the interest. This one really piques that interest. It would be fun for Halloween for sure.

u/Nolshea98 · 1 pointr/streetwear

Hahah, just wanted to show it for the pic. Here's a link to the belt for ya.
