Oh yeah! Hood latches are a solid plus. For poles - I found some “garage” type pole holders that are straps. They go great between the roll bars and so the poles basically hang from the ceiling.

Lol well fyi the ~30$ rack is $20 atm during prime day. Just saying, it's one of the few items on amazon that actually went down in price for prime day.

*The Diawa Fuego I got for 75$ a few months ago is now 99 marked down to 75$... yea that's prime day.... "savings"
I would recommend this one so the rod can't slip when driving.
This is the one I got. The one on top has no foam, despite what the picture looks like. The rod end with the reel can sometimes slip out if I take corners too fast with my car.
I got this wifi extender. It claims a range of up to 5 miles (offshore, on a boat, over clear waters). I've seen it get a network at least several blocks away in town with obstructions. Using it from my house, I see about 50 networks as opposed to my normal 2-3.
This antenna mount allows you to lower the antenna so it doesn't stick straight up when you aren't using it.
Also consider using a 4G hotspot with a 4G signal booster like a weBoost.
It isn't fancy, but it works pretty well. This past Father's Day weekend, I took it about 200 miles to the Northern California coast. It was loaded with my Eagle Talon 120, a friend's Shadow Caster, all the fishing gear, and tons of camping gear for the weekend.
That little trailer handled it all like a champ, and tracked well even at 70mph and on the twisty mountain roads. For a few hundred bucks, I'm very happy with the trailer kit and build. I just have a few more final touches on it and it'll be perfect. Although to be honest, a good project is never done and I expect I'll be making mods on it forever.
ToDo list:
Rerouting is one thing, that would suck either way, but replacing is easy enough. You just use the old wire as a pull string. Also, get yourself some flexible fiberglass rods to run the wire.
Part of a two-part fishing rod rack. The butt end goes into that, and there should be a second part with grips that you push the rod into.
Usually it is mounted horizontal so the rods sit in them vertically.
Like this.
CAIKEI Fishing Rod Rack 2-in-1 Storage for Ceiling or Wall-Ultra Sturdy Strong Weatherproof Indoor and Outdoor Use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MM3FN7X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DLt7CbD1NTX60
They fit right over the stock ac tube mounts, just have to drill two 1/4” holes for the screws. And they are semi soft plastic so they conform to the curvature of the roof.
I have only one recommendation, they keep pipes from falling out.

I use this guy on the ceiling of my garage, holds 12 rods https://www.amazon.com/RackEm-7009-Overhead-12-Rod-Fishing/dp/B00A16NQTU/ They also have a wall mount variant that holds 6 rods.
You can get extra 3750 or 3700 boxes.
I bought a wall rack that holds 14 of them, that way i just swap in what i need for game night

Also you should have got a small survey form in the box, you can fill it in and send with a couple of bucks and self addressed envelope and they will send you an engraved name plate.
Works well for Imp assault squads too
> Unfortunately they don't or at least not the normal ones as far as i can tell. However I found these Wire racks that if you cut out every other one you could store 7 cases in it maybe build a box or screw them into a tote.
The one mounted on the hood is a Sumo - https://www.amazon.com/Orvis-Sumo-Car-top-Rack-Suction/dp/B004L9QCN0
The one on top is a Thule, but I don't think they make them anymore, so maybe eBay - https://www.amazon.com/Thule-885-Fishing-Mount-Carrier/dp/B000AMBP0M
I've been speared in the hand when a fish rod broke while under pressure being pushed forcefully by my helper. I finished what I was doing and about a half hour later decided to go to the doctor when water came out of a different hole than the one I was spraying water at. The ass-hat doctor missed a decent chunk of fiberglass and I had to dig it out myself.
I also encounter fiberglass insulation, and it really sucks when the tiny fibers stick in a hot sweaty forearm.
TLDR: It sucks ass.
I'm in the process of building this cabinet to store most of my fishing gear. I will be adding two sets of these rod holder... Berkley Twist Lok Rod Rack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000XU0NB8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_XIrxwbWJDZDBM
Is there anything you guys would add, or do differently? I'm going to want a second one, so I can play around with other ideas.
The handle sizes are different, I know. I should have paid more attention at Home Depot.
I haven't bought one yet, but I'm planning to buy this for mine:

I was hoping to get one for my evic, but a bit apprehensive because of the reviews. I feel like a fishing rod holder would work better if you just bought the double sided foam 3M tape.

If you have a cap, then I suggest this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000BYPF1/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_lhJzCb0NXFZQ4

If you don't have a cap, then maybe some schedule 20 pvc pipe and end caps. They make it big enough that it would hold rods with reels.
