This has some decent qualities. Long enough to commute and cruise with duel kicktails.

Edit: Quality deck I road it for years before going smaller for a college campus.

here's a quick list I put together for a solid custom setup.

Deck: Enjoi 8.0 (you could swap this for another deck of any quality brand.

Trucks: independent stage 11's. (note this is in a set of one, so you'll have to buy two trucks)

Wheels: Spitfire formula four's

bearings: bones reds

grip tape: mob grip

Hardware: 7/8". (personally I go to a hardware store and get them a bit cheaper)

Definitely do your research and decide what would be best for you though.

Bought if off of amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4HN1S7/

For example https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002GIEAG4/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1523525127&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=skateboard+deck&dpPl=1&dpID=31c33zkaUdL&ref=plSrch

I preferred to wait a bit and collect old ones because 1) they were for free 2) I like them a bit trashy.. but buying new ones is a viable and faster option.

Its cool how retro boards are coming back.

The fact that you can get a brand new deck and trucks that are basically the same as the retro ones is awesome. You could probably find some wheels that are similar too.

You should hang that one up as decoration, you wouldn't want anything to happen to a genuine vintage deck like that.

EDIT: bruce logan talking about being an OG skater

A few companys make mini/micro pre assembled completes that are around 7.0-7.5 in with which would be the smallest you could get without going to an online shop. I was gonna grab my 4yr old one from Almost. Think it was a 7.0 Batman deck. But my wife said no until he genuinely asks for one. She's the boss right.

The set up should be good enough to get him rolling and practicing his balance. You shouldn't spend more than what your set up cost. Here's a Santa Cruz Micro Deck that should be a good size.

They were a limited release in 15 i think, I worked at a skate shop at the time and the things were sold instantly every time we got one in. Im sure you can find them on eBay or amazon these days though!

It’s from the french Amazon (click the second one) for barely 30$.
https://www.amazon.fr/Ridge-Skateboards-Natural-Range-Longboard/dp/B01N9TBLYX?th=1

Hopefully you can find the same for a similar price range wherever you’re from.

I've been skating one of these for a few weeks. Around $40.

Skates just fine to me, but I'm not super experienced so your mileage may vary.

u/Aloha_Superman · 1 pointr/NewSkaters

I order from skateone in California, just since spring I bought 4 decks 4 sets of trucks and all the riggings for them. Amazon you can usually find free shipping on anything over 35$ for example this is the deck I'm riding now https://www.amazon.ca/Mini-Logo-DCMMML12709AHA-Skateboard-Small-Aloha/dp/B06XJCCH4X/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1500006876&sr=8-4&keywords=mini+logo+deck

Nevermind they seem to be backlogged on everything now. it all says shipping 2-4 weeks or 1-2 months. I got my stuff in 4 days when I ordered it.

What type of skating are you looking to get into? Street or Vert? Do you have a local skate shop near you? Usually you can get a blank deck much cheaper from a shop. Otherwise check out the links below, you will need all 3. Keep in mind, these are generic parts and might not have the best quality but will get the job done to learn. If you want to add some style to a blank deck just spray paint something on it. Come up with your own design. Building your own board will give you a sense of accomplishment and help motivate you to skate.

EDIT 1: Stay away from generic tony hawk Walmart board like the one you linked.

you mean like THIS?

being in the UK I cannot help you with a specific link. i am not sure if you are just having trouble with your google-fu or if I am misunderstanding because I found that pretty quick.

That does look sketchy...I haven't ever seen that shade of purple with blue lettering. The toy machine purple looks pinker and the lettering is a yellowish.

I did find this close match (it's an 8.12 and more green than blue): http://tgmskateboards.com/toy-machine-complete-sect-eye-8-12/

Similar one on amazon (8.125): https://www.amazon.com/Toy-Machine-Skateboard-Purple-31-75/dp/B00JTUWAY6

If you're looking for that site and that particular offer, it's here: http://www.skateboardingturkey.com/urun/toy-machine-sect-face-purple-complete-8-0/

Check this one out. 22.25" WB. Usually goes for higher price. I think these ones are out of season decks.

Blankdecks.com is a great site for blanks.

This is the skateboard I ride right now from Amazon, and it's decent

Why not save yourself the money and get a blank deck
