16. Loaded Boards Button Head Longboard Skateboard Hardware Bolt Pack w/Hex Tool (1.5 inch)

From left to right, the boards are the Tan Tien, Dervish Sama, Icarus, and the Boosted Board. Tan Tien and Dervish Sama are more of my cruising boards with the Icarus a carving board. I mostly ride the Dervish and my wife rides the Tan Tien (since it's smaller). Also bought and returned the Loaded Overland (didn't like it as much)
The stands are the guitar stands from Amazon mentioned here a lot. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LBKFYUO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I tried out different trucks and wheels and found the orangatang 80a to be the best for me (same as on the Boosted Board). The 2 on the left have Caliber II trucks. I like the Caliber trucks since they spring back to neutral position quickly which is great for cruising and is very stable. The Icarus is meant for carving so it has looser Paris v2 trucks. I tried the 80mm Orangatang Kegal wheels on these boards and always managed to get wheelbite (and thus crashing) so I went with 70mm wheels and can ride without worrying
Nose and tail guards also from Amazon. Highly recommended as these went flying into the curb a few times and no damage to the board: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XGJ8PHM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hope this helps!

Which board do you have? If you have the V2 that comes with an SR battery it sounds like you would need risers and button head hardware (the screws) that is 1.5 inches long

Here is it for someone interested.
Yo this is such good advice! I have a Maestro as well, and the first couple major dings really stung, and I was pretty bummed. But it ultimately still rides the same, and I would rather have taken the hits and had fun than been all dainty all the time. That being said, I have reglued delams, DIY'd fiberglass and epoxy wrapped around the edges, nose, and tail... there's stuff like this https://www.amazon.com/Skateboard-Longboard-Nose-Guard-Black/dp/B06XGJ8PHM/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1520644901&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=longboard+nose+and+tail+guard&psc=1 never tried it because it looks like it would get in the way more than anything, but it exists.. At the end of the day, boards get torn up, best to just accept it for what it is and have a blast.

These have worked well for me.
Depending on the thickness of the board, you may need to loosen them up or tighten them before applying. To avoid scratches and grooves, I’d open them up a little, make sure they’re on straight, then squeeze them tight. They’re made up of flexible metal segments under a rubber casing, so shaping them is sort of like bending stiff wire.
They are a little shapeable, so they’ll fit most designs with a little bending/molding.
I'm not sure what OP is using, but I bought these.
I need to get a few more.
Ya gotta get longer hardware and a pulley conversion kit too, will edit this comment and add all links

Haha sorry, spelled it wrong "Boardnamics"
If you have a backpack rn you really like but it doesn't have straps, you can get a board hook. There's one that was a Kickstarter (link) and sadly all sold out, but I found one similar on Amazon for $8.99 (link). It straps to your backpacks shoulder straps. I got it for my mini x👍🏼
You get hook things you can add on to most backpacks. I got one and it works but the bottom of the board does swing around a bit so I would use a strap just to hold it in place.

I'm up cause I'm in pain.
I <3 Get Lucky by Daftpunk.
Skateboard bearings would be cool for my husband.
Nah you'll be fine. They are good for getting the wheels a little tighter and reduce side to side friction, making bearings last longer according to the science behind it. You could get a 100 pack here on Amazon so you never run out.
I lost a few here and there myself, they are easy to lose track of being so small & sometimes they stick to the wheel from grease.
I'm using this mount I found on amazon and the diyeboard 5055 motor

but wondering if there are any other options to consider. gonna likely get one for my Kut-thaka and even my Tarab but not sure if having one will make beginner level free style(for the Tarab's case) difficult. I just wanna take as much care for these decks as I can

where do I buy these speed rings? I also have the rattling.
Is it these? https://www.amazon.com/STANDARD-SPEED-bearing-spacers-washers/dp/B004QGAJ4G
Looks like it went up by a dollar lol but still worth it. Skate shops sell these for $25+. Don't buy the kit. Just get the $9 bearings. If you need spacers and washers then buy it separately. It's like $3 :)

Hi again, I've been skating for about a month now, but have nerded-out on all of the technical aspects of skating. Also, sorry for the late response.
Softer, larger wheels are always better for rougher terrain, as they have some give; reducing vibrations (giving you a smoother ride), and minimizing damage to the contact patch (the part of the wheel directly in contact with the ground), as well as hanging up less on cracks and imperfections in the ground. And yes, the 60mm SharkWheels are extremely soft, coming in at 73 on the "A" durometer scale. Also, installing the shock/riser pads is exremely straight forward. Just remove the screws that attach your trucks to the deck, and place the pads inbetween the trucks and the deck when you re-attach them. Since using riser pads increases the space between the top of your mounting hardware, and the bottom of the truck baseplate, you'll need some longer screws. (I know I said you'd need 1/8" risers, but you'll actually need 1/4" ones. Here's a link to a set of risers and new screws: https://www.amazon.com/Longboard-Riser-Hardware-Black-Risers/dp/B01GVYLLDS?ref_=Oct_CARAsinC_3416211_2&pf_rd_p=615a1383-c417-5ea4-9e60-3dea50680d38&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-5&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_i=3416211&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=23AB060KWQ2M6XTT79SF&pf_rd_r=23AB060KWQ2M6XTT79SF&pf_rd_p=615a1383-c417-5ea4-9e60-3dea50680d38)
About changing boards, you don't need to buy a new skateboard unless the deck has cracked or snapped, the nose and tail have been ground down to a razor edge, or the deck plys have delaminated. If you want to improve the quality of the wheels that you have, I suggest cleaning or replacing the bearings in their core. Also, when you remove your wheels from the truck axles, make sure to keep the two speed rings that are on the axle. Depending on the wheels you have, there may be a metal spacer between the bearings. If there is no spacer, you'll want to purchase a set of bearing spacers, since they allow you to tighten your axle nuts all the way down, and reduce damage to bearing races since they properly allign the inner races. Here's a link to the spacer set I used, which also come with replacement speed rings:
https://www.amazon.com/Fireball-Spacers-Washers-Skateboards-Longboards/dp/B01GIGU2SE/ref=sxin_2_ac_m_pm?keywords=bearing+spacers&pd_rd_i=B01GIGU2SE&pd_rd_r=8f7f6dbf-9e1d-4fe8-b773-f88fd58cb1b6&pd_rd_w=XHSmr&pd_rd_wg=JYzjS&pf_rd_p=52ddbacc-f25e-4731-abd8-005c535b500a&pf_rd_r=WYCXRWENHXVGEBSRAHYH&qid=1562015024&s=gateway&sprefix=beating+spacer
Aandd here's two videos that detail the entire bearing removal/cleaning process from start to finish:
https://youtu.be/QqSOBvVDNwQ
https://youtu.be/epLPX7sRQXI
Side note: The "A" and "B" durometer scales are used to measure wheel hardness. The higher the durometer, the harder the wheel. Both scales start at 73, and max out at 100, with the "B" scale being 20 points lower that the "A" scale for a wheel of the same hardness (a 100B wheel would be equivalent to a 120A wheel).
Hope this helped :)
Thanks for watching! Yeah, the boosted board is definitely a good beginner board but the price makes it a big investment. I assume most beginners would look for something cheaper. The bash protectors are the "Skateboard Deck Guards" link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077CQBC33?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf. I've had the back one slide off a bit so I hope they last.
What board do you have? Are you not taking off the old risers? Any case; here are screws that'd work for you, make sure to get the button top screws and not counter sunk.
They fit pretty tight I have not had them fall off or wear out yet and I have had them for about a week and I got them from amazon

I buy this four pack. They’re the same quality as boosted belts, but are significantly cheaper.
