Plastic tablet stands like these! They're good enough for most keyboards, but the heavier aluminum case customs might need something tougher.

I use this one for both my ipad air and iphone 6+. I actually ended up buying a second one because I use them all over the place now, they're great.

I would highly recommend the HiRise, just a tad confusing to setup. Also, you'll need a cable that is NOT thicker than the original apple charging cable, both my amazon basics and anker cables dont fit into it. So take that into mind. And the Anker one doesn't have anywhere for you to charge but it's foldable and nice if you need to just setup your phone to watch something or whatnot.

someone just needs to make a cheap stand that raises the tablet half an inch or less to fit a 90 degree cable in there.

something like that with the bottom piece being a bit raised or the plug. Better yet i'd love one that even had two small fans in the bck where the intake vents are. Esp if I could use AA batteries to power them. That would be great for on the go playing

I also installed my sons car seat into the plane. When I flew with him without the car seat he wouldn't sit down and buckle up. He jumped and climbed constantly. With the car seat he sat comfortably just like he did in the car and eventually fell asleep or quietly watched his movie.

Any sort of Tablet stand works. There are clamp grip holders that work for a variety of sizes

I use it with my Pro 13 and it's great. Stable, and adjustable.

I really like the elecom EX-G; the wired versions shouldn't have any whine at all. Biggest issue is the lack of a tilt. Either buy some rubber feet (I suggest propping it up to the proper height, measuring and then look for stick-on door stops at your hardware store, Remember that the feet go under the trackball, so it will be slightly higher than the height of the foot you buy), or use a tablet stand. Tablet stand is adjustable, which I love, but it does mean you need to keep your trackball a few inches further from the keyboard.
