To be honest, however, I just swap/recharge them out after each rehearsal/show. With Alkalines as low as $0.25/AA Cell, no reason not to.
Battery tester too, to see if the battery has juice. Don't want to throw some dead batteries in a device and assume it's the device. I got this $5 one.
