First thing anyone should buy is Deluxe Audio Strap. Can't stress that enough.

Vive-N-Chill is also really useful. It may seem silly, but it actually works really well. When I use any other headset for active gaming I really miss it.

Hyperskin covers for the controllers are awesome, comfortable, add grip and help with the occasional wall scrape. Though personally I ditched the headset one as I feel like it may trap in heat. Does look cool though. But the controller ones are a must have.

One of my absolute favorite VR accessories: 1" MMA floor tiles. Worth every penny. Way better than any thinner solutions and you can really kneel/roll around on the ground comfortably and stand for hours on it. Can be disassembled for transport and does not slide on carpet. They seem to be holding up to heavy duty long term use so well they should last for years through multiple generations of headsets.

My favorite face cushion for personal use is the stock foam one. Comfortable, breathes, and absorbs moisture and wicks it away. Nice to break out the fancy faux-leather ones for guests and stuff, but the original stock ones are the best for serious game sessions, at least in my opinion. Just hand wash it on occasion.

These guitar hangers are cheap and awesome for hanging controllers from when paired with some 10 foot usb micro cables for charging. Maybe not as cool looking as the special charging stand, but a whole bunch of pairs are great for different VR controllers if you have more than just a pair to deal with.

And, if/when you ever tire of the Base Stations' function to remotely power up/down automatically being fussy, slow or intermittent, then remote power outlets will make you happy. They make the base stations spring to life and sync in a few seconds compared to the slow blue tooth routine and power off when you want them off.

And 2 more at a 45 degree angle at bottom corners will hold a headset to the wall securely. This is my setup and its cheap and looks nice. No hanging from straps or anything . Not an actual product for hmd. These are just guitar hangers. https://www.amazon.com/Top-Stage-Essentials-Studio-GR5-Q2/dp/B00O4JRLU0

Fits the mini and longboard well on smallest setting.

For that price you could get two of the Amazon Basic floor stands. I have one for my Gibson J-35 and it works well.

You could get an amp grill cloth with a colourful design. Hang your guitars off the wall with something like this.

We do a lot of redirection, like others have mentioned “no” just makes him feel like it’s a game. Such a fun game...

For the guitar my husband has one of these on the wall which has been pretty nifty, in case that might be helpful for y’all: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FM97YFY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_VpZyCb62BC9FS

I used to sit mine (7U x 104hp) on an acoustic guitar stand, which worked relatively well and they tend to be fairly reasonably priced. They also tend to be padded fairly well in all the right places to prevent scratches etc.

(Something like this, just chose one at random off of Amazon. It'd be worth checking measurements though to make sure the depth of your system fits in the stand. Or even better, try it out at your local guitar store.)

The only downside was that when I was patching/unpatching something in the top-left / top-right of my system it wasn't as stable as I would've liked. But it wasn't too bad. For the price, I feel like it's worth a try!

I use a K&M tablet holder that you attach to a mic stand. The tablet holder has an arm so you can position the iPad the way you want it.

Just got a 6 pack of these:

https://www.amazon.com/VEIDIA-Holders-Hangers-Mandolin-6-Brackets/dp/B0749K3CB5/ref=mp_s_a_1_5

Two screws each. Not the most robust mounts, but these are mostly used for hanging up your instrument when you refill your drink or go to the bathroom.

The video crew at my venue use something like this.

Search Amazon for 'A fame guitar stand'.

I use Hercules guitar hangers; the weight of the guitar causes the ears to turn inward, further securing the guitar. Try one if you can.

Storage for a guitar that good looking, and you don't need to travel?

Done.

These were taken in poor light but you get the idea.

Well I was going to suggest a sheet music stand but while I was browsing Amazon I realized that something like this guitar stand might be an ideal solution in combination with a sturdier support for the controller. Adjustable height, and the shape of the part at the top that holds the neck of the guitar could work very well for this purpose.

The old Gamecube demo kiosks had custom-made plastic pieces that attached to a plastic tube that held the controller in place, as you can see here. I don't think it will be easy to find one for sale, though. This person is selling something similar for an exorbitant price so that's not really an option. Maybe someone craftier than me would know how to fashion one at home.

$35 shipped on Amazon. That's the stand I have and it's pretty great.

Some can, some can't. If it's in a local shop why not giving them a call? Something like this can (deep fire acoustic but groove in the middle for the thinner electric)

I personally have the Amazon Basics version and its awesome.

Consensus from other users that bought both is that the Amazon Basics one is better quality.

Hang your guitars like art on the wall. my favourite locking version

u/AllSySt3msG0 · 1 pointr/ElectricUnicycle

The one I got was this one from Amazon Canada and seems to be slightly different. Looking at mine with the Inmotion V8 (13.5kg), I think the weak point of the stand would be that pivot near the two arms that hold the wheel. When I look at pictures of the one you listed the part that I am talking about seems to be rigid which is a good thing given the extra weight of your wheel. I obviously can't say for sure but it seems like a good purchase :)

u/stevenknapp847 · 1 pointr/onewheel

This one I tried and did not work. The top of the "A" is right at the middle of the wheel. The board leans too far forward.

This one (sold by Amazon Italy) seems similar to yours but it's not branded Amazon Basic.

Do you think it woul be able to hold a MSX (around 20 kg)?

Thanks.

u/theloiter · 1 pointr/Luthier

Sure... First off, is this the kind of stand you're putting it on?

https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Tripod-Guitar-Stand-Security/dp/B018FCZRUW/ref=sr_1_6?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1473272112&sr=1-6&keywords=guitar+stand

If so, check the back of the neck, it's likely there too. If so, I recommend you DO NOT cleaning it/rub it/buff it for at least a month. It will allow the lacquer to re-cure. The rubbery material of the stand causes a chemical reaction on the nitro that will need to re harden.

The good news is that there are companies who specialize in LP reissues, they even make them more historically accurate. So, if it's that bad, or bothers you, that's always a later option.

I don't know much about that guitar. Generally Yamaha makes very good lower end acoustics. If you see it at the store give it a go and see how it feels! Many people on here advise not going with starter packs, because while you're getting a lot, it's generally lower quality.

Many of the things included in this pack you could get for fairly cheap. I'd advice putting most of your budget toward a guitar you really love and get the accessories after.

For example, when I bought my guitar, I bought the guitar and a soft case, which I think was around $20 and I bought this stand: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Tripod-Guitar-Stand-Security/dp/B018FCZRUW/ref=sr_1_6?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1469461903&sr=1-6&keywords=guitar+stand

I got my strap for $5 (which you probably won't need at the beginning anyway) and I would suggest either getting lessons or starting with the vast amount of Youtube content. JustinGuitar and Marty Swartz are great places to start. Justin Guitar has an entire beginners course, which is what I started on.

I’m looking for a small floor longboard stand. I was wondering if anyone has used the amazon basics one to hold a drop through board. Does it work well? I figure that it will easily hold my dinghy but I’m not sure how it will do with the shape of the drop through. Does anyone have any suggestions for stands?

The AmazonBasics ones: AmazonBasics Guitar Folding A-Frame Stand for Acoustic and Electric Guitars https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018FCZKR2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ALdsDbPB2KN1Z

Any of the cheap stands work fine. These low ones are nice because the heads of the tall ones always seem to get in the way for me. The tall ones are more stable and amazon basics has one for about the same price as well.

Generic folding stand like this

u/mrjaguar1 · 1 pointr/guitars

The worst thing I ever used for a guitar stand was a laundry basket with 2 clips on the outside of it to keep the guitar from falling over. That was when I was a lot younger and poorer. Now I use one of these and one of these those work pretty well.

Save yourself a lot of time and buy a hanger. Goes right into the stud and has an auto grip. As far as distance, you’ll just have to base that off of the guitar size and where your studs are.

I used these for awhile and it messed up the finish on a couple of my necks. I use these now: http://www.amazon.com/Hercules-GSP38WB-Mountable-Acoustic-Guitar/dp/B0009K9MUA $30 isn't much to spend to take care of something worth hundreds or thousands of dollars.
