You can get them pretty cheap online, though I agree it should come with the car.

Seriously, save your brain power for a tougher problem. Faraday cage key bags are a thing. Your keys completely disappear as far as the car is concerned when you place them in the bag. 2 for $13. Drop them in the bag, lock the bag in the lockbox you already mentioned. I travel a ton and I'm a bit paranoid, so I use these bags to prevent a Relay Attack when I park within view of my hotel room.

Says it’s only for 16-18, but it seems to be working on a 19.

I am by no means an expert but when I researched this for my 2018 STX Screw, it looked like the truck was not remote-start ready. You are likely in the same boat. I plan to buy one of these off amazon once I stop procrastinating...

My first thought. Amazon sells wireless kill switches.

I ordered a generic one off amazon. I didn't look for the alarm box. I have a red light above the radio that says security so I just assumed it was for the alarm, paid $11 vs the $100+ the Toyota dealership wanted. Figured if it didn't work I wasn't out much money. It worked. When I bought mine all I had was one key. Also got another chipped key for less than $20 and took it to the dealer and he programmed the key for me. It took me about 20-30 min to program the remote using a series of lock and unlock sequences on the 4Runner. The remote has the lock/unlock function, rear window on the front and the red panic button on the back. This is the one I got.

I have a 2008 P71 and don't want to change wiring for the truck button. So would this three button key fob work?

Here's one I found. It's not just the shell, it's the whole fob apparently. But I found a locksmith near me willing to get me the fob, program it and cut it for $200 and it's guaranteed to work, so I'll probably just do that.

Looks really nice. I've been debating on where to place a switch that's out of the way but easy to reach, and this seems like it would work well.

Is there a reason you tapped the heated seat fuse rather than just connecting the switch and an in-line fuse on the normal NPP circuit? I thought tapping the seat fuse was to prevent the wireless receiver on the M2W kit from draining battery?

Also, if anyone reading this has plans to get a M2W kit, save yourself some cash and buy this instead. The "official" kits just add a bit of wire, a spade connector, and a fuse tap.

great question as I have been wondering the same thing. For my 2015 I've been hovering over this one:

I also installed an aftermarket remote starter. Another simple plug and play install...

Would something like this be too bulky?

There's also the sleeve style meant for individual cards and passports, like this, which you could possibly use to craft something more suitable.

This is the one I had installed on my 2018 Crosstrek and have been using since 2017. Works great. I went to a guy I know and he installed it for me. I don’t know where he ordered it from. Paid him 375$ CDN with the installation.

You can buy [faraday pouches](Upgraded Faraday Bag for Key Fob (2 Pack), TICONN Premium Faraday Cage Car Key Protector - RFID Signal Blocking, Anti-Theft Pouch, Anti-Hacking Case Blocker (Carbon Fiber Texture) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MDF5TX9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_42dyDbDF1AJFK) that you can keep your fob in when at home to prevent this from happening. I bought one on amazon for my car and unfortunately still seems to unlock the car when I’m close enough to the car despite the fob being in the pouch. I wonder if anyone has one that is actually effective.
