Just saying. You could literally turn your PC's ignition key to power it on. ;-)

There is a way to exchange the ignition for a push button, which would probably be cheaper than a new car. Let me see what I can find....

Amazon has them! You could get any mechanic to install them in sure.

three options:

  1. Order P/N 27004-5322. A dealership won't be able to help you, even if you give them your VIN. The number you need is the key code tag that was given with the key at the time the bike was purchased new from the dealership.

  2. Have a locksmith make a key. this key might begin to suck over time.

  3. PM me with with instructions on how to hot-wire it (i won't disclose that info publicly).

Nice and solid. Only diff is the text looks a bit different.

I recently had to redo my 1980 CB750c after the previous owner made it a strait on/off switch.

This is the one I purchased. Since yours is already wired up to work on your starter, you should pretty much be able to just plug the wires to the corresponding spots. I have the wiring written down at home, but its for a 750c. I'm sure its the same, but I don't want to give you incorrect information either.

If anyone wants to give this a try on their F30 here are the links to the wrap and the button.

A remote start switch allows one to manually and safely energize the starter. You don't need to get anything installed, simply clip it on the two terminals and push the button. example

Unfortunately this item did NOT fit into my 2009 335i xDrive. I was able to easily pull the current stock button out and it was just a small 'faceplate' while this item is deeper and requires a different type of housing than what is in my vehicle. The quality, look, and feel of the start button is AMAZING. I am very bummed that this did not fit. I am considering ordering a different housing altogether because I loved the way this push start button looks.

You may want to look into something like [this](http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-85936-Conduct-Universal-Starter/dp/B000CO7IIQ). Even though I really like the fighter pilot switches, this might be fun/more along the lines you're looking for.

u/aoifhasoifha · 1 pointr/BMW

I got mine on amazon. It came with a little bit of sticky putty to pull out the old button, then the new one just snaps right in to the same clips.

Fits perfectly and the color is indistinguishable from the stock satin silver.

u/ElMangosto · 1 pointr/auto

Would this bad boy do the trick? It just interrupts the positive wire and completes the circuit when the button is pressed, right?

The pair of horns are 6A each, so 12A right? I think that button says 50A, am I looking at the right thing? Also, for the run, I think around 10ft, should I use like a 10 gauge wire?

u/BrycenWilliams · 1 pointr/minibikes

Yes. All you do is get one of these and splice the normally closed side to the kill switch

u/Timber3 · 1 pointr/funny

ahah, I'm not saying that you have to be, kits are fairly cheap....

This one is 26$. granted you still need the key for it...

And this tech is fairly old now is all I meant

http://www.amazon.com/Button-Start-Hands-Keyless-Entry/dp/B006ROEHNE

this one is 260$ and is RFID so no key needed

Here are a few links similar to what I've seen, I can't remember the original case I saw it on:

Try this idea:

I would work something like this under the dash to push with the key circuit. Hidden, obviously.

u/neptune383 · 1 pointr/HondaCB

i bout this to replace my ignition and it comes with a set of new keys. though the keys edges are very just like how the picture looks and probably the same for everyone key too.

But if that's no good, the bike is basically a Diversion 600 (Seca II, you'd call it) in a different set of clothes and I'd be very surprised if a Seca II switch didn't fit. I can't believe Yamaha made a unique ignition switch for it.
