I used to work in a store that got really hot from the window facing the sun, I got a roll of cheap 50% car window tint and put it up (easier to ask for forgiveness than permission) and it made a huge difference. Something like this:

LEXEN 2PLY 20" x 10' Premium Carbon Window Tint Film Roll (50% Light Shade) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074CJL2F4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_I.YlDb1YNQQ5X

If your apartment gets full, direct sun, get some thermal curtains and reflective window film. Gila puts out a window film kit that works well and can be easily removed when you need to move. You can find it at Lowes and Home Depot. If you get the film, be sure you get the Application Kit for it too.

I had this same issue in my old apartment. The AC would run full tilt, without stopping, and I'd be lucky to see temps below 85F in the summer. I was on the top floor and got full afternoon sun. The curtains and film helped drop the temp a few degrees.

Then you need to talk to someone who wants to sue a public pool.

This isn't a criminal matter where you can call the cops and report chlorine issues.

If you are in NYC you can report it to NYC pools by calling 311. If you are outside NYC you can google who is responsible for the pool in your city or country and file a complaint.

> Completely destroyed, non functional lifeguard buoy never getting replaced for years

One of these?

>absent backboard for spinal injuries

They don't have a backboard like this?

>non-tainted windows causing severe water surface glare during the day

I have nothing that can fix surface glare of sunshine on water.

You can tint them but tainting them is a completely different topic.

>disgusting skimmer pots that have never been cleaned

OK

>I could go on.

Have you done anything to help the situation or do you just want to sue for damages you don't have?

There are companies and non-profits that need help and volunteers and feedback everywhere. Have you brought this up to anyone? Did you ask what you can do? Or do you want to get money because they failed?

I suppose that one could reinforce the glass with some security film: One Two. Both of those are rolls of transparent film, which must be cut to fit each window; it might be best to have this sort of thing installed by a professional. I don't know if this would make the side windows less safe in the event of a collision, but I suppose that it would make them behave more like the windshield (which already has film that is meant to keep the glass in one piece in teh event of a collision).

I install vehicle wraps and vinyl letting on vehicles and windows, ect. There is a product called Edge Sealer. You can get it in a marker and you just paint the edges all around the decal and it seals the edges from water and dirt entering and making your sticker fall off. They'll have it at your nearest sign supply store, or you can just order it online.

Seal your face right on your cooler! 😊

> The head model I can't find.

My only suggestion for this is to buy blank-faced styrofoam wig head to mold your plastic over.

> I'll also be tinting it black.

Instead of dye, use a window tint sheet. Dye won't make the plastic opaque. At best, it will give it a very faint shade of gray and your face will be completely visible. If you're wanting to obscure your face, window tint is your best bet.

My arsenal of approved non marring tools I use.

And whatever cleaning solution like brake clean, mineral spirits, acetone etc. whatever works best WD40 even. .

That's pretty much my entire arsenal of things I have to keep on hand to clean surfaces properly.

Now this method isn't for your everyday mechanic trying to make money because it's very time consuming and if I were working on OEM applications I wouldn't be too worried about some of the unapproved methods described here because time is money and if you use the wrong method but you pay very close attention to how you work the ROLOC disc keeping the movement in large swings, using extremely light pressure low RPM you can achieve long lasting leak free finish for the rest of the life of the cars engine . It depends on a lot of factors like the stock studs combined with gasket type, torque pattern, checking head and block being square and true. Cleaning the mating surfaces by hand is extremely labor intensive in some situations it's easy to get frustrated and get whatever abrasive is handy.

This thread is a good one because it's one of the most annoying and tedious tasks when rebuilding race engines. My engine has many places RTV is used and it get's old. Only enjoyable part is seeing a shiny clean factory looking finished part.

There is a bit of a tint but you can correct it with some color grading. I use Lexen and it seems good to not color the video too bad. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074CF1MF3/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Something like this would probably be a good start:

We never use felt products, as you'll see in the two starter kits. Felt holds dust like no other and will scratch the film eventually.

This is just a quick search and glance as I'm getting ready for bed, if you're not satisfied with those links I'll dive a bit deeper tomorrow, just let me know!

Youtube tutorials are going to be your best friend for now, I linked to a few videos if you want to go through my post history real quick, they shouldn't be too far down. If you reply, I'll link them sometime tomorrow!

You can get 2 kinds. The automotive tint is self-adhesive. There's also a window mirrored tint for home or office, but you need to get a clear type glue to apply it. Both options, will come with a lot more than you need though.

That would be something you could use for the mirror effect.

I don't think you're going to be able to predict how each shop will enforce this. Try a smaller independent shop over a bigger chain.

Worst case, you have to remove the front window tint to pass, and then re-tint them. You can do it yourself for cheap with a pre-cut kit like this, or for probably $60 or less at a local tint shop.

Other ideas were putting your windows down and pulling the window fuse for your inspection, but I think shops will see through that.

Perfect but I would recommend an install kit.

I prefer something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Black-Magic%C2%AE-Tint-Film-Select/dp/B000EBMKE4/

You can find something similar at any Home Depot or Lowes. Look for 35% for best results. It it's not dark enough, you can just add another layer.
