This is what I'm referring to - they're great if you are in a rental or something and can't just install a doggy door!

heres a $28,000 door.

I think this is amazing. I love the thought process that says "no way I'm paying for delivery, let's just get the smaller one and make do"

I would have ordered the door online and gotten it shipped.

Here's an alternative with free shipping. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HZ8NEBQ/

I know you said a screen door isn't an option, but here's something you could put up in a temporary manner if you haven't already checked it out.

I have gotten a lot off of Amazon. Like a bunch of cheap cat toys. A screen for my deck door. A comforting book. The world's best chocolate covered cherries. My favorite coffee. This fur throw to go on this chair. And this playpen/sleeper for my been nephew. Amazon's so good.

I was getting murdered last year. This year I'm a little better prepared. I highly recommend:

That curtain is not inside the door. When have you ever seen a screen door inside? It looks like a magnetic screen so you can open your door for ventilation and not have bugs enter. It would make no sense to have the screen inside as most residential doors open inwards, rendering it useless.

You can see the shape of the screen here and how its over lapping the door.

Something like this but white

Why do you want this beating to be justified so bad?

Is it because you would feel like a piece of garbage for enjoying it?

u/msutalon · 3 pointsr/LifeProTips

Fair enough. They actually make door-sized screens as well that fasten with magnets down the middle.

This is what /u/ellifino is referring to:

Yes, you can use velcro glued or stapled to the framework around that door.

u/blladnar · 2 pointsr/myog

Consider using magnets instead of a zipper, like one of these doors. https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Mesh-Bug-Screen-Door/dp/B072J4XP3T

Makes getting in and out a lot easier.

Get some of those magnetic screen doors. The dog will run right through it and it places itself back.

Is this what you need?

u/dougmpls3 · 2 pointsr/Dogtraining

Feed the dog outside, exclusively. It will help a lot. And check this out so the dog can freely go in and out, but not the mosquitoes. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KZNOHTW

Glad you posted this!! Some great reminders for STMs too! Staying hydrated is so huge. My husband was my dedicated water person- he made sure I always had water nearby. I would get insanely thirsty the moment my daughter latched (learned it's a hormonal thing). I got a 64oz mug similar to this one and it was wonderful. Stayed cold all day basically and I didn't have to keep refilling it.

You could try one of these Magnetic Screen Door. I don't know about your dog, but my dogs don't generally push their way through anything. A barrier is a barrier to them. There are kinds that stay closed via magnets and even Velcro. Something to look into. And it'd be easy for you to just walk in and out when needed

Instead of using the sliding screen, maybe you could use one of these:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KZNOHTW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The dog can push it aside as he goes in/out of the doggy door.

We don't have a doggy door, but we have had one of these magnetic screens for the last 4 years (they last 2 summer seasons for us). It works well to keep the bugs out once you get it hung correctly. The dogs learned to use it in a few minutes.

One thing that I found was something like this mesh screen door but the problem is that everything I find is pet-friendly instead of pet-proof. Anyone know of a product similar to this that can stop pets?

u/s2xtreme4u · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Magnetic screen door so my dogs can go outside I used to have one but its old and the top ripped :(

u/Mortimer452 · 1 pointr/homeowners

FYI, if you need a screen for that door, these look like a crappy "as seen on TV" product but these actually work really well

u/frozen_flame77 · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Have you thought about removing the screen door and installing one of those magnetic screens? Like this: http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Magnetic-Screen-Door-Mosquito/dp/B00CEFRCVO

That way you could have the dog door and it folds out of the way but can snap into place when you have nice weather and want to keep bugs out.

u/triskellion88 · 1 pointr/gifs

I'm pretty sure I got this stuff and it also looks like it's dropped in price because I could have sworn I paid $50 or so at the time

u/Shachar2like · 1 pointr/plants

insect netting. like one fit for a door like this you can cut it to your window, I use it myself. and if your plants are inside then they probably don't need direct sunlight anyway or for only a short while

u/Beta-Detector · 1 pointr/howto

You can even create it from mesh panels that are connected with magnetic strip, so you can easily access the guardrail if needed.

Something like this maybe?

u/LeaveTheMatrix · 0 pointsr/Unexpected

That is nuts when a similar product (minus the person sized door) is available for only $30 and free shipping

Think I will buy the $30 one, make my own door in it, and save $900. (give or take, depending on material costs to create the door)
