I bought these pins recently as a replacement for that kind of pin and I like them better. They are a bit longer so they are more secure for deeper holes.
But this pin has the same collar.
Looks more like a shelving support pin to me.

Use a shelf peg instead and you don't have to cut the shelf.

Well there is no link. I just took some measurements and cut a couple pieces of plywood to size, and then painted them a glossy white to match. Then I got some of these. I put 4 in for each shelf and then the plywood just lays on top. Fairly simple if you have the time.
This doesn't look to be the right size at all but probably provides some clues as to what to search for:

Edit: way more results if you search for divided shelf pin, not sure what your needed dimensions are though.
Drill four small holes and install these:

Plop a painted piece of wood on the pegs and call it a day.
Ah, understandable. I guess it depends on how odd it'd look to have a deep shelf like that. Maybe a shelf that extends all the way across with some brackets similar to these?
Hard to say with knowing exactly what it looks like, haha.
these are really close, but they have that extra support piece, and these shelves fit fairly tight, and i have no idea about sizing.
If you were screwing through the uprights into the shelf, you may see some tearout. If the holes are predrilled in the upright, you can probably get away with just using the small peg brackets similar to these, sized appropriately.

If you would rather do the screw method, just make sure to level them and don't over tighten, stripping the hole would ruin the bracket's ability to hold anything.
Amazon they have a few kinds with 1 day delivery: https://www.amazon.ca/BIGTEDDY-Cabinet-Furniture-Support-Hardware/dp/B077JKZ1WP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1535931447&sr=8-1&keywords=bookshelf+pegs
