Looks sick!

I'd recommend some Clear Vicious Grip for that beauty.

It'll let you see the amazing work ya'll did while giving you all the grip you could ever need. I have the black on my deck and I love it.

They need some transparent grip tape

Yeah, it probably is some sort of resin or glue with a bunch of solids mixed in. There is clear griptape that exists! Here's a link to some (it's a Canadian amazon link so you'll have to find the uk equivalent)

Black Diamond 10x48" Colors (Single Sheet) Clear https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01GGS494M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dph0Bb4FC55BN

I think you should swap it out, the griptape that comes with cruisers can be less than ideal. I don't know how hard it will be to remove the grip on your board, maybe investigate youtube and see if you can find a solution there?

Also- side note- if you haven't replaced the bearings I'd reccomend switching them to reds bearings or something similar to that, because the bearings that come with complete decks can be awful.

There is another way to try!

It's getting a little more popular with a lot of people who started out in the same boat as you. You're doing great, and you've tried to help your pup in so many ways, don't feel bad about this at all :)

So essentially we can teach your dog to dremel her own nails.

You'll want to get some grip tape (the tape that goes on the top of a skateboard, here is a link), and put it on a sturdy clipboard.

Then you're going to teach your dog to paw/dig on command. To do this, put a treat under a towel, and kind of hold the towel down while encouraging her to try to get the treat. After nosing it for a minute, she should get frustrated enough to try pawing at it. Yes! Reward vigorously. Repeat until it's pretty reliable/she's figured out that you want her to use her paws. Then remove the towel, put the treat on the clipboard, and only cover with your hand. When she scrapes her nails on the sandpaper like tape, reward reward reward!

Make sure you're only rewarding for good nail scrapes, not rubbing the pads of her paws on it. Then you can move on to different feet (the back ones can be very difficult. Some dogs pick it up pretty easy. One dog I actually had to teach to leap off the board so he'd wear down his back nails.)

Keep an eye on the nails to make sure she's not scraping them too short, and voila! No clippers are involved, instead there's only the happy treat-time clipboard!

here's a quick list I put together for a solid custom setup.

Deck: Enjoi 8.0 (you could swap this for another deck of any quality brand.

Trucks: independent stage 11's. (note this is in a set of one, so you'll have to buy two trucks)

Wheels: Spitfire formula four's

bearings: bones reds

grip tape: mob grip

Hardware: 7/8". (personally I go to a hardware store and get them a bit cheaper)

Definitely do your research and decide what would be best for you though.

This is what I have left over from a former house.

There many options for clear skateboard grip tape -- https://www.amazon.com/ZUEXT-Skateboard-Waterproof-Rollerboard-Wheelchair/dp/B0755WR3XR/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=skateboard+grip+tape&qid=1563144164&rnid=2941120011&s=outdoor-recreation&sr=1-5

That gym grip spray, which is resin mostly, does not last long. I tried it on my own feet in one of the bathrooms.

Most on this subreddit use GT5000 grip tape but that didn't have prime shipping and i'm impatient so I got this Grip Tape instead. Works great so far and I think it will serve my sweaty hands much better than the original coating.

u/ThinBlue38 · 2 pointsr/CZFirearms

I’ll check that out. I was using a holster from outlaw holsters, I like it and will probably get one for the TLR1. I am excited to shoot with the tape and see how much of a difference it makes. I’ll link the tape below. I think I have the small or medium palm I can’t recall.

I also did some CWG upgrades. 15# hammer spring, reduced trigger reset spring, firing pin spring, safety plunger spring, and the upgraded firing pin retaining pin.

Its 2 different kinds.
The middle and very ends are Jessup grip. Local skate shops should have this. An the darker black grip is vicious Grip.

maybe something like this. although its like sandpaper and wont come off easily. i've done this once. I cut a small reallly small line/blob and added it to the right button. Along the corner. so it would catch my fingers if it slipped or i could just press it w/o slipping.

use really good scissors and i wouldnt recommend covering the entire button as it is very rough.

If you want it to be more grippy, you can try Skateboard grip tape.

ZUEXT 11" x 50" Clear Skateboard... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0755WR3XR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ( this was like one of the only ones I could find that was 11' wide)

I used to use gloves, but they irritate my skin. I would prefer one, but it's not worth the discomfort for weeks to come. So I found some golfer's tape, and I wrap all the fingers other than my thumb on my left hand. It works well for me, even on hot days. The tape is nice and stretchy, but I can go a whole round with just one small piece on each of the aforementioned fingers.

Grip is one of the more over-trained things. It's really tough to program for - there is no consensus on beneficial grip routines. Benni Magnusson had grip problems for years, until he started strapping up on all but his heaviest sets. For him, he wasn't making gains on his grip because he was doing too much.

If you can't use chalk, Purell hand sanitizer will help. It gets rid of some of the oils on your hand.
Also, taping your index finger and thumb (with athletic tape or, preferably, golfer's tape) helps a lot too.
Lastly, on the hook grip, make sure you're really squeezing the hell out of your thumb.

Amazon
It’s not available right now though

u/amondene · 1 pointr/tennis

I have the same problem on my thumb from gripping the racket to tightly.

This tape has some flex to it so it doesn't constrict your thumb range of motion as much as other tape:

I getting some grip tape this weekend, just wondering if this tape would work for cruising/light DH.

u/PeteTsar · 1 pointr/longboarding

You want street tape or DH tape?
Madrid Flypaper comes in 60' rolls but they're $99-150 based on width.
Jessup sell 20 street sheets for $120.
Mob, Vicious and RDVX don't appear to sell rolls to consumers.
Blood Orange only seem to sell sheets but some stores do it by the roll.

Quick amazon search for "skateboard grip bulk" gave me this 9"*60' roll of Jessup but it's probably not what you're after. http://www.amazon.com/Jessup-Skateboard-Grip-Tape-60-Feet/dp/B0039ZDVIG

u/iambush · 1 pointr/ElectricScooters

You can absolutely make it go with just your leg power. It’s tougher though then if you did the same thing with a regular scooter because electric scooters are a lot heavier. So I probably wouldn’t want to take trips on this thing kicking it around but if you wanted to practice going up and down the street with it off, there’s nothing stopping you for sure. Note that I don’t think the electric break will work unless it’s turned on; so you’ll need to use the manual foot break on the back like a regular scooter.

Edit: oh, and I just ordered some black generic black grip tape from amazon. ZUEXT 11" x 44" Skateboard Grip... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0755WLVT2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

its more of a longboard thing, but Vicious griptape can be applied on top of grip tape and might be what you're looking for

u/BadasteroidCoE · 1 pointr/NewSkaters

What type of skating are you looking to get into? Street or Vert? Do you have a local skate shop near you? Usually you can get a blank deck much cheaper from a shop. Otherwise check out the links below, you will need all 3. Keep in mind, these are generic parts and might not have the best quality but will get the job done to learn. If you want to add some style to a blank deck just spray paint something on it. Come up with your own design. Building your own board will give you a sense of accomplishment and help motivate you to skate.

EDIT 1: Stay away from generic tony hawk Walmart board like the one you linked.

"Cool" is subjective, really depends on what are you looking for?
