I daily carry a GORUCK GR1. I chose this pack because of how ridiculously overbuilt it is. Prior to getting the GR1, I carried less and I generally still couldn't go more than 6 months at best without ripping or destroying my packs. I also like that it doesn't have much built in organization. I prefer to create my own organizational system rather than use the one mandated by the pack. This is the primary reason I chose this over similar high quality options such as the Tom Bihn Synapse 25.

Also, I know there is a serious lack of cool hacking tools. Unfortunately I am currently in a more defensive than offensive cybersecurity position, so I don't really carry a lot of stuff around with me like I used to when I was red team.

On the front you can see that I have a Grimloc biner in case I need to attach anything to my pack. I also have a Gonex water bottle pouch and a large water bottle. On the back of the pack I have a pouch with my EDC Zebralight on the shoulder strap for easy access while wearing the ruck.

Bag

Can't add a photo in a reply I guess. Flashlight in a rotating holster on left hip. Leatherman on custom magnetic holster on right hip. Watch on wrist, Spiderco Smock in custom pouch I made for my pocket so I can carry tip side down.
Holster on Amazon (there are many brands with the same holster, this is the cheapest I found at the time):
AIRSOFTPEAK Flashlight Pouch Holster Carry Case Holder with 360 Degrees Rotatable Belt Clip Long Type, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013SQ09K8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zc6XCbWEXDBDS

Custom Leatherman holster I made:

It's hard to see, but I also made a clip that holds my belt to my pants so all this crap doesn't pull my belt out of the loops when I go to the bathroom or tuck in my shirttails.

I've got a smallish bag, something like: zippered pouch that I can carry by hand if I'm going to a stadium or something like that, but otherwise I'm always carrying a messenger bag or smallish drawstring type backpack. Sucks, but part of life, might as well own it.

u/TieDyeSky · 3 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

This, the greatest carrying case for it by a mile:

Orca Tactical MOLLE H2O Water Bottle Pouch Hydration Carrier (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KN66QRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_aigQ87ZUVQPJ2

It fits almost perfectly, hold everything and then some.

u/mikeknine · 3 pointsr/nursing

I use this. My scrub pants have cargo pockets and this fits perfectly. I invert it and zip it wth the loops and pockets facing out, front side gets shears in the large pocket, red pen, highlighter, dual sided sharpie, pen light, white board marker in the loops. back side gets a hemostat or two thrown in the back side. In the in between or "inside" i slip a small spiral notebook.

The nice part is its easy to grab and go and KNOW I have my basics, and at the end of the day I clip my badge to it when I get to my car so I dont lose that.

YMMV if you dont have cargo pockets it would fit in.

u/butteryreddit · 3 pointsr/FZ07

I have this water bottle holder zip tied to my passenger peg mount. I had a kriega us-10 that was awesome, but somebody stole it right off my bike because it just latches to the mounts on top.

u/nept_r · 2 pointsr/EDC

I agree. Seeing the same 5 items, often literally the same model, doesn't really do that much for me. My cutoff for EDC would be what you could comfortably carry on your person that isn't a backpack full of gear. For instance, I have a Maxpedition Mini Pocket that's the sweet spot for me. It's big enough to bring a variety of items but small enough that I could wear it on a belt or throw it in a bag. I can EDC something like that without a sweat, and if it's not on my person then it's in my car with me or in my pack

u/velogeek · 2 pointsr/guns

This. I picked up this Orca Tactical MOLLE bag that goes in the storage compartment under the rear seat of my truck with a pretty stocked first aid kit and I just attach that to my rifle case when I go shooting. It's red with a huge cross on it so it's conspicuous for anyone who would need it.

Barbarians Tactical MOLLE Pouch, Multi-Purpose Tool Holder Modular Pouch Tan https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075K3JK7B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DTv3DbYPRPV32

Cheap solution that may or may not work for you

u/dbinkerd · 2 pointsr/EDC

I recently bought one of these Condor T and T pouches and have been very happy with it. The photo on Amazon does not do it justice, however. Mine came with four of those removable molle snap straps, which I did not need for my application. Here is a pic of a typical load out of one of those Condor's.

Not sure if that is the type of pouch you are looking for, I couldn't picture in my mind what you were after (just my issue, not your description).

u/jimmyd1911 · 2 pointsr/preppers

I really know nothing about mass transit across the pond, but snacks and water for getting stuck for a break down/delay?

> I have also purchased a cold pack for burns

Putting ice or cold packs on burns isn't a good idea, the cold can further injure the already damaged skin. Cooling the injury should be accomplished by pouring clean water over the burn. (or does cold pack mean something else over there?)

Edit: adding - How about a tourniquet? A knife wound involving a major artery is possible.

https://www.amazon.com/CAT-Combat-Application-Tourniquet-Time-stamp/dp/B01ITAKG6A/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1526833784&sr=8-4&keywords=tourniquets&dpID=41FzFiZYe9L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

Otherwise you've got a nice set up.

u/RabidWench · 2 pointsr/nursing

My 'outside the house' kit is only what I can carry in my purse (which is admittedly fucking large). It all lives in a maxpedition fatty which goes everywhere with me. I made a post over on edc about what I carry in it: moleskin, bandaids, neosporin, benadryl cream, spare chapstick, nail clippers, eye drops, sewing kit (not suture kit!), nail file, tweezers, tums, a wet-dry towel (expands when wet to clean up messes), flashlight (with spare batteries) and a tampon. This list has covered every situation I've encountered so far, and I've won free beer because no one expected me to have eye drops.

This does not include the mask I keep in my car because I don't honestly ever expect to use it, or the box of OTC meds I keep with me.

u/WhyPilz · 2 pointsr/EDC

I really like the case, has saved my ass a few times since I got it for Christmas already, and its the medium sized Maxpedition one, lemme see If I can pull a name.

These are two different items connected by standard molle strap system

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KN66QRQ/

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019MM1NC/

I put some foam in the top and bottom of the big case, and cut a slit down the smaller case to allow the sticks to stick out. The pouch in the front is big enough for the charger. It could, perhaps, fit a spare battery or 2 instead.

Would post more pictures but imgur is being weird.

  • Large
  • Extra Large

There are tons of videos on YouTube showcasing size and items most people like to put in them. This would be worth looking into. Some other reputable brands I have seen are Vanquest and Condor. Personally, I use the EDC organizer from Maxpedition in my 5.11 Rush 12 backpack. I highly recommend it.
u/TheBlinja · 2 pointsr/AskMen

As long as I'm not wearing golf shorts, I routinely fit A Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organizer with plenty of room to spare. Golf shorts require that in a front pocket, though, but anything else I could fit more. It currently has my keys, a carabiner, hair tie for my wife, a Gerber Shard, nail clippers, a stylus, some pointy ended tweezers, a mini flashlight, a cheap pair of ear plugs, some coupons, and some receipts. I used to keep a pen in there, but it leaked, and have been meaning to restock my lens wipes, and Shout wipes.

Edits: to correct the link and name the Gerber tool (which I use to complete a circuit to open my garage door, haha), and to add what I need to replenish.

u/reovent · 2 pointsr/flashlight

I was looking for the same thing a while ago and ended up getting this one,

https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-Flashlight-Capability-8-Position/dp/B001EC3JME

Very happy with it especially for the price

u/Tunnelmath · 2 pointsr/flashlight

Nite Ize makes one that would likely work. You can buy it at Lowes too. It is however very stiff and hard to insert flashlights larger than a mini-mag. It will certainly take up to a D-cell Maglite with a little fussing however.

u/thegammaray · 2 pointsr/onebag

Nope, neither has an external water bottle holder. I think it would be pretty easy to lash a separate water bottle holder onto the side handle and a shoulder buckle, though (e.g. this MOLLE one).

u/GATORSFTW94 · 2 pointsr/EDC
u/cbrooks97 · 2 pointsr/CCW

I think you're going to have to go to something like this. You might find something a little smaller if you search around, but if you go much smaller you may not be able to fit the OLAES.

u/must_ache · 2 pointsr/EDC

This 6x6.5x2.25 3V Gear and this 7.5x6.5x2 Condor are two I found when looking for something cheaper than the Maxpedition EDC/Fatty/Beefy, but that still included internal organization loops or pockets.

I for one decided it wasn't worth saving the money to buy the super cheap one, too many unknowns for me. I do trust Condor to make good gear though, I have two of their slings and they are well make from good quality components. I just haven't ordered because I think I might go with something bigger like a EMT bag, since I'm just going to throw it in a backpack.

u/nextus_music · 2 pointsr/EDC

it does not, it does have molly on the back, and you can make a paracord belt loop for it. if it is the mini (I have both the mini and EDC version) it will fit in front pocket or cargo pocket very well.

edit: [here is link to mini] (http://www.amazon.com/Maxpedition-Mini-Pocket-Organizer-Black/dp/B005CSYU6K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1371342386&sr=8-2&keywords=maxpedition+micro), [and edc] (http://www.amazon.com/Maxpedition-E-D-C-Pocket-Organizer-Khaki/dp/B002DAL540/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1371342489&sr=1-1&keywords=maxpedition+edc) the EDC is to big for carry imo

If you don't already have a pouch/holster this works like really well

u/GraygoryGruesome · 1 pointr/batman

Oh for sure. That's mask latex, not foam. Good stuff, just two different things. And this was the belt that I hope you avoid from using :

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005OYT440/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?qid=1412178186&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

I know it may look the part, but way too many bat-costumers use it already. And it never looks right.

u/huntercunning · 1 pointr/flashlight

This is what I am using. I have used the surefire polymer one and actually preferred the lens facing down since it was more compact. That holster I linked to has 8 different positions of cant.

u/dever_seventy_six · 1 pointr/flashlight

I use a nite-ize flashlight holder on my belt. One of these

u/Agent_Ozzy · 1 pointr/batman

The thing I'm trying to do is not make it look completly like a known batsuit for all the parts, but the final part will be something simple like a Batman morphsuit over the armor. The one part I am excited for is when I can get the belt. Of course some slight bat modding may be needed, but out of all I have seen this is my pick for best utility belt http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005OYT440/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2CEJZC1341HK5&coliid=I1J0Q9CM9U8NP0

The belt is from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OYT440/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Mask and gauntlets are from Reevzfx (https://www.facebook.com/Reevzfx?ref=br_tf) I made the cape.

u/YellowAndDangerous42 · 1 pointr/electronic_cigarette

Great idea. Also a drip tip cover to keep lint and dog hairs and curious insects from going into the suck-hole :-)

Here's one that's $7.99 instead of $19.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075974Y84/

You can really go with whatever style you like, it doesn't have to say "vape" on it... If I was going to spend $20 I'd get a Maxpedition and even then this one is $15 https://www.amazon.com/Maxpedition-Pocket-Organizer-Foliage-Green/dp/B005CSYUKQ

All my Maxpedition gear has lasted forever, I'd recommend it if you want something that won't wind up with rips or broken zippers.

I have a small MOLLE slingpack that I occasionally travel with. My Switch doesn't fit in one of these pouches without removing the joycons. It would be nice to fit one whole since the joycons like to search for the console in there. I even opted for my 2DS over my Switch when I went to SGDQ (granted, I was also traveling with a bunch of other stuff too).

Given what I read for a size comparison, the Lite should fit.

Here’s one I use on my bag with MOLLE webbing for water bottles:

Rothco Lightweight MOLLE Bottle Carrier, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013CRHMDU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_h.gODbBJ85P5H

u/Crusty_Irishman · 1 pointr/EDC

For my work carry, I use this ... holds my lightning cable, headphones, adapter, and a battery pack

u/JoshIndeed · 1 pointr/freeflight

I really think a Tourniquet should be in every persons kits.

With paragliding the ease at which you can take a fall / have a bad landing and sustain a bad cut is very easy. If you take a bad cut and arent able to stop the bleeding your time window starts to shrink as time ticks on and the only way to stop that is with a Tourniquet.

They are lightweight, don't take up a ton of space and can easily be applied. I personally have 1 in my EDC bag, 2 in my car, a few at home and 2 in the kit I am putting together for paramotoring.

One bad fall or cut in any sort of difficult area for rescue to get to could be the difference between life and death and that TQ will buy you a lot of time if you need it.

I would only recommend one brand and that is CAT and you can get them for around $30.00.

DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY A KNOCK OFF OF THIS PRODUCT.

Just pay the 30 bucks and be happy you have a quality product that will save your life.

How to properly apply a Tourniquet

I have looked a bit into this topic as I am fascinated with medical related topics and one of the industry leaders created an "Adventure Medkit" that is very streamline. Here is what they had in there to get an idea of what medical professionals are considering.

1 x Hyfin Compact Vented Chest Seals

1 x Nitrile Gloves

1 x QuikClot Bleeding Control Dressing 12’

I've had people talk to me (while I was flying) about their discomfort with and suspicion of drones, but it was always in kind of broad terms, not that they specifically objected to what I was doing at the time (and they usually came away with a greater appreciation for them).

This was the first time I've had someone approach with clearly hostile intent, and I feel like I could probably have handled it better.

I can't believe how small the Mavic folds down to. I'm keeping it in my backpack in one of these.

as for a flash light what do you think of a streamlight microstream?

hard to say any more if i dont know how you carry all that stuff

also, try to fix one or two days (depends of how much you use your zippo) for filling days, that way you wont need a backup lighter. or just get some kind of a pocked organizer like a maxpedition mini or maxpedition micro, for what i see that is more than enough for you

Those look like the Snugpak RocketPak. I don't believe you can buy these without the pack though. You can separate them from the main pack though and use them as a separate backpack (with their Yoke system.) The bag sells for about $130. I used to have this pack and loved it. I let my brother borrow it and he never returned it. He liked it way too much. haha

You can get other bags similar to the side packs, like these, for around $20 on Amazon.

I recently bought a Maxpedition Mini. It is has a noticeable bulge, fitting tightly into a typical jeans pocket, and comfortably in a cargo pants pocket. It fits a decent amount of stuff, like pens, mini tools, a small first aid baggy, some computer cables, flashlight, etc. It could fit more but I like keeping it relatively streamline.

I think its the best size for a pocket pouch. Any smaller and it's less useful than a pocket, any bigger and your needs may be better satisfied with a backpack. I don't mind the excessive bulge in my jeans, nor occasionally carrying it in my hand, but that's just my preference.

I should also add the material quality is remarkably good, and very ruggedly built, I was quite surprised. It feels like a mini heavy duty Northface backpack.

So you might actually like something like the Condor Sidekick Pouch for mounting on either a leg drop or a belt. When you open it up, paracord holds the halves at a 90 degree angle, so you can easily see tools etc on the inside - see picture on site. It's about $18 shipped on amazon
