Razors are simply one of the easiest examples for the "pink tax" argument. A real-world example using razors is that my ex used to use those three-blade Venus razors with the lubricating strips and the thing that changes colors when it's time to buy more or whatever. Before just saying "fuckit" and getting myself a trimmer, I used to use those "mach3" razors. She later took my leftover refills when she ran out of hers. Both are by Gillette. Without getting into the insane bells & whistles with the bar of soap wrapped around it for 13 dollars for two razors, the most comparable women's "mach3" razor is this Venus razor 3-pack. It's $8.49. A near-identical Mach3 that we both used is $7.99 for a 3-pack, plus a $2 coupon, so it's $5.99 for the men's razors. It's also cheaper to buy 8-pack Mach3 compared to the Venus.
I get that one's for face, and one's for legs, but she had no problem using my leftover refills and they were cheaper all around.
There’s a razor that they don’t sell in stores anymore, it was discontinued awhile back but it’s still available online (razor and replacement blades) called Silk Effects by Shick. I have used it religiously for many, many years because it’s perfect for that type of shaving. It’s a small blade with wires over it to reduce nicks and cuts. I’ve never found a current blade that is available to shave as smoothly and delicately as Silk Effects does. And because it’s discontinued in stores, the razor and replacement blades are pretty affordable from EBay or Amazon:) If you do order, make sure you get the Silk Effects Plus blades because they have a built in shaving lotion that makes it smooth to shave.
I’ll add the link to the razor from Amazon. Good luck!
Silk Effects Plus Razor and Blades
If you still have longer leg hair use an electric trimmer to cut it shorter. Then you can shave them more easily while in the shower or bathtub. You will need to use something to lubricate your skin to make it easier to shave. For that you can use any type of shaving cream/gel and if you don't have any available hair conditioner works really well. If you have a 3-5 bladed razor those work really well to give you a closer shave with less chance of accidental cuts.
I personally like to run a bath with some moisturizing foaming bath and soak in that for a few minutes while using exfoliating gloves to remove any dead skin. The moisturizing foaming bath will lubricate the skin well enough that shaving cream/gel is not needed. Then will use a Schick Hydro Silk 5 razor to shave. Start at the ankles and shave upwards against the grain of the hair.

Why do women have to change themselves to attract men?
Basically for reasons like this I doubt most men in our society can accurately be called heterosexual.
They have fetishisized strident performances of femininity but are repulsed by the actual female body.
Men not being attracted to your fat ass doesn't mean they're gay.

Go shave your legs you disgusting piece of trash.

Quite simply, modern economics lacks the methodology to consider ethics. Asking an economist what's ethical sounds like the setup to a joke.
It might be worth noting though that there is quite a bit of gender based price discrimination in markets. Car insurance is a classic example, and it took me 30 seconds to find this example (men's product; women's product) on Amazon.
I just get mine at the grocery store or drugstore (U.S.). The Gilette Venus brand. There's the [Olay] (http://www.amazon.com/Gillette-Venus-Womens-Razor-Refills/dp/B0072KNPKI) kind and the [Spa] (http://www.amazon.com/Gillette-Venus-Womens-Scented-Refills/dp/B003EMNITQ/ref=sr_1_5?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1427465247&sr=1-5) kind and the [Breeze] (http://www.amazon.com/Gillette-Venus-Tropical-Scented-Refills/dp/B001UHOUQC/ref=sr_1_9?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1427465304&sr=1-9) kind.
I was thinking of this one, different razor.
Sometimes the handles are bigger for easier shaving in the shower. Sometimes they use different perfumes on the lubrication strip. Some of them have extra plastic around the head for reasons I can't comprehend.
But, beyond that, it's mostly just color & marketing.
As it's currently winter, and I'm always wearing pants, I've kind of gone into to not giving a crap as to whether I shave my legs or not land. But, eventually I will have to come out of hibernation and I only have one of these shaver head thingies left haha. And for fear of scaring someone with my wooky self I'm going to need new ones. I absolutely adore the shaver and they give you the smoothest legs ever.
Thanks so much for the contest! It's great to see you around here :D
My current hair removal strategies.
I still have not done much with my face, as that device does not allow for facial use on men. (Not sure how I qualify there...). I was planning on doing professional laser and probably electrolysis on my face. My hope is that I can get away with using this to reduce hair everywhere else to the point where it becomes a non-issue.
I like the Schick Intuition razor, the built-in moisturizer bar works well for me. It is on the expensive side of razors though.
(Edited to remove link fail, here’s a link on Amazon.)
also buy a bag of cheap razers, shaving cream, and a shower puff for shaving
shave legs a little bit every day with INtuition razer
Try the Schick Intuition with the lotion bar around the razor with this towel trick, would be about as mess free as you'll get! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CCSKCW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_pvqKDbD7ZBQHT

Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor, I had the same problem as you until I got this razor... link: http://www.amazon.com/Schick-Hydro-Silk-Sensitive-Razor/dp/B00HT6E2JI/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1425567523&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=Schick+Hydro+Silk+Sensitive+Razor
Afterwards apply Vaseline Aloe Fresh, really amazing with helping the dry skin... link: http://www.amazon.com/Vaseline-Total-Moisture-Fresh-Lotion/dp/B004X8NECG/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1425567270&sr=8-8&keywords=vaseline+aloe+fresh+hydrating
Edit: no shaving cream or anything needed, just use razor as is in the shower. apply vaseline after drying off before your pores close up to much :)
Edit 2: Sorry, thought of another thing! Only shave once a week, cuts down on the skin being aggravated by the razor and will keep eczema at bay
Same thing its obviously "too much of a hassle" when in reality its very simple and not even a hassle. Can of Nair and Intuition Razor and 10 minutes.

Schick Intuition Sensitive Care Razor for Women with 2 Moisturizing Razor Blade Refills with Natural Aloe https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CCSKCW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pxNBCbK7VFSHD
Try this, it’s amazing! I’m a sensitive skin redhead, everything breakers me out, this never has. I can use this and the lavender colored one. I can’t think of what’s in the lavender one right now, but this is amazing! Shaving is never painful with it.
I have issues with my hands sometimes (numbness and tingling, rather than shakiness) that make them really unsteady while holding a razor. Schick makes a women's razor called Intuition that has a thick soap/moisturizer cartridge around the blades. I find that I don't cut myself as easily with the extra padding. It's also a bit bigger and more ergonomic size than a lot of them, so it's easier to grasp and pick-up if you drop it. Which I do. Frequently. It works very well, but my only complaint is that I have to swap out the blades more often than other razors because the soap thingy gets worn down before the blades do. Totally worth it. I usually order the refill blades on Amazon because they're much cheaper there.
OR you could get the Venus blades with the gel built in (https://www.amazon.com/Gillette-Venus-Womens-Scented-Refills/dp/B003EMNITQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1482111253&sr=1-3-spons&keywords=venus&psc=1) it just makes it easier to shave everything... I'd say 10/10 worth the splurge.
to infinity and beyond!
most random that i "need?" Freakin razors! def need them....just hate paying for them :) every time I go to buy razors i sit there and debate about just buying a new handle that comes with two new razor heads for like $8 instead of the 4 pack for $15.
I used to get awful ingrown hairs until I discovered the magic that is Aveeno shaving gel for sensitive skin. Give it a try and use a good sharp razor. I use a Schick Quattro. The kind that you have to buy replacement razors for, not the disposable kind. It's a pricey razor but worth it.
Shave at the end of a hot shower so that your pores have opened up and your skin is soft. Let the gel sit for a minute too before you start. I keep the shower running for the added steam. You can also try pre-conditioning the hairs to soften them up with conditioner or coconut oil. But be mindful that conditioner can contain fragrances that are irritating.
