Some assembly required but other than that it’s the perfect propagation station🤝

First of all, I'd do a little rearranging and put the couch opposite the fireplace, and the two chairs along the wall where the couch is now. Then put the tall lamp in the corner, and perhaps a tall plant if you can get one. That would make the couch the main focal point of the room when you walk in the door. Right now it's obtrusive because it's kind of right in the circulation.

Could you paint the coffee & side tables? One or two quarts of chalk paint or milk paint (you don't have to sand) will work wonders. I'd paint them either white, light gray, or even navy. That would really modernize those pieces.

With some accessories I think you could achieve a cool bohemian look. Switch out the lamp shades for both the lamps (if you can, it's hard to tell what the larger lamp is in the photo). Something like this or this. Take the current throw off the grey lounge chair, pick up a couple of colorful throws. Here's a good example of one but you can look at TJ Maxx, World Market, Pier 1 Imports, or antique/consignment shops in your area for something similar. Get at least 4 more throw pillows, also in different colors. Navy, orange, red, emerald, gold.. You want to mix and match colors, textures, and patterns to make it look curated but effortless. The above stores are great sources for those as well.

Put up some wall art, a macrame wall hanging with some color like this one would be perfect to tie everything together. Then some framed botanical prints as well. If you're on a super budget you can even print them at your local print shop. Audubon's Birds of America are un-copyrighted and you can download full resolution images for free. Then just pick a size to print them as, such as 11x17 or 18x24 that you can easily buy frames for. There are many other un-copyrighted botanicals/animal studies up for grabs. For the coffee table I'd get some cute coasters like these marble ones, and maybe a terrarium with some succulents or air plants.

I saw them once in a plant book. I bought the bows from a local thrift store and made the wooden stands myself. A fellow redditor found them on amazon :

I found something similar on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CMQ5NFS/

Once the glass and window taxes were repealed, greenhouses and conservatories became very popular in Victorian and Edwardian England. There are card boxes in that form.

You can buy a plastic garden urn. Place a pot of trailing ivy in the top (glue it in if necessary for security) and cut a slit in the side for cards.

Following that theme you could use a gardening journal, which were and still are, used by devoted gardeners

Exactly. I got them from Amazon. They are bigger than I expected but they are pretty cool.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071H53T9V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_HvN2AbJFNQQP9

I also bought some cubicle wall hooks to use with them as the ones it comes with are for walls.

Not rosyncrantz, but this looks fairly doable. (And I'm not the craftiest person.)

I'd go to Joann's or Michael's.

Get some decorative branches and put them into a green foam base that's used for flower arrangements. Get some fake flowers to cover the base, or get some white satin fabric and bunch around it like a Christmas tree.

In your pic, you have crystals dangling from bead strands. Joann's sells both. The strands come in like 6-12 inch lengths, and come in a variety of bead types. And get some cool tear drop crystals. They come with holes. Just get jewelry rings to fasten them to you beade strands.

The tea light holders, I'm not sure if Joann's would have them, but there are some on Amazon. Like this or this. There are now plenty of battery powered tea lights that flicker and look nice. Get a box.

The hardest part is going to be getting the decorative branches. The one in the picture looks like some grayish birch, but they will probably be dark brown in the stores. You could keep that color and drape it with crystals and beads. Or you may want to spray paint them, and I would go with a soft gray instead of a white. You may also be able to find some (relatively) cheap trees on stands as Christmas decorations.

Good luck!

I'm using terrariums in my wedding as well, I'm putting candles in them, but they are hanging terrariums, if that's something you'd be interested in.

Congratulations! you're a big girl now! It's so liberating to live on your own. I miss it.

Plants are a great item to have around the house. Something like this is low maintenance and appealing to look at. :)

The little globes? Amazon

u/justforviewing8484 · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

Amazon has a few different shapes - just a little bit cheaper than the ones on World Market (not sure how the size compares though)

Just off of Amazon, it was a random assortment so I didn't know exactly what to expect. This is the link I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014LSWSFQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Amazon... it's always Amazon, haha!

I didn’t make it OR buy it (I call it my “mystery stand” as it just showed up on my door step one day from amazon) but here’s the listing!

u/VodkaWithSnowflakes · 1 pointr/IndoorGarden

Oops! My bad! hahaha. I bought it online on fb marketplace because there was a girl who accidentally ordered an extra set. But you can find it on amazon for $25:

As for the lights, they don't bother me at all since it's kinda stashed away in the corner. The lights aren't that strong to begin with, so it merges with the rest of the lighting

Thank you so much! So the little orbs are actually from Amazon. They have a flat side with a hole so that you can mount it on the wall and it'll look seamless. :) They also come with command hooks!

Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071H53T9V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As for the TV mount, I would normally be able to do it by myself with my SO but the walls in this apartment complex are a little weird and the living room has metal studs. So we have to have someone come in and mount it. It would be a little difficult for us to do, I think. But thank you for the casing idea! I didn't think about that! :)

Hmm. Any specific terrariums you want an estimate on or the entire thing?
Edit: Nevermind. I'll just give you a rundown of what I bought. Don't be scared off by the price, just start small. I recommend the Super Mix Moss from Appalachian Emporium to start you off, some cheap pot soil at home depot, mesh for the filter, pebbles/driftwood from outside and glassware at a thriftshop or wherever. Though I think getting springtails might be a must to keep the habitat clean from mold and such. Overall, it should cost you no more than $30-40 depending on what you get. I just happened to go overboard these past two months :)
