I have a Tyger brand (described as "Maxmate", but tagged "Tyger" on the cover itself) cover that I ordered on Amazon. It's pretty alright, but is starting to look worn after 4 months. It is mostly leak-proof, but still lets in a little moisture and dust. For a road trip, I bet it would be perfectly fine. Took about 10 minutes to install by myself. No drilling required at all.

I ordered this tonneau cover today. Should be here on Monday. Even though it says it's for a Chevy Colorado, it fits very nicely on the Gladiator.

I opted against the Ram Box. There are times that I would like it (for example, when I was tailgating at Jimmy Buffett a couple weeks ago - or today when I was supposed to tailgate at a Brewers Game) - but beyond that, I wouldn't use it much. I definately wouldn't use it enough to be worth $1500. I may someday get the Undercover Swing cases though.

Both were really easy to instal and I'm really happy with how they look.

I got the bed cover on last night and we got an inch and a half of driving rain. The bed was totally dry except for one minuscule puddle in the corner of the bed nearest the cab on the drivers side and I think that's just because I didn't have it in perfectly square.

I just put on a Lund cover for my LB less then $180 after a $65 MIR and 15% off on amazon. Lund is cheaper brand but can't beat it for the price. If you don't have one, just buy one. A soft cover adds an insane amount of utility to your truck. Here's what I picked up a couple years ago. Absolutely recommend it. It is stupid easy to install and operate, and remove if you have to. My seal seems watertight too. I kick myself daily for not getting one eight years ago.

I think it would be fine. I bought for that same reason.

What is nice about the roll-up is that it does not block the window when rolled.

I’m really happy with this cover. I like having the option to have the bed covered or uncovered. It gives you versatility that hard toppers don’t give you.

After further review the Gator ETX on Amazon is the same thing only has a better warranty and it's only $199. Looks like they just sew a different tag on the vinyl. Dammit I got screwed oh well I'm not taking it back off and shipping it back for $50. Gator ETX cover on Amazon

Thanks. I don’t expect anything to be 100% waterproof but would like to be able to have suitcases back there on a trip without worrying about them.

The cheapest I found was around $100 on Amazon. I got it in December of last year. So far so good! Just remember that the hooks (to lift the cover when you open the hatch) don't come with the cover (super weird!).

It's a snap to flip up if you need it open, or completely remove it and put back on. I hate roll ups, they are a hassle to secure and put back in comparison.

I have a single cab, storage container behind the seats. You can get a good bit in there. I have my straps, jump starter, and an air compressor in there among other things.

There's also the boxes that fold out, installed aft of the wheel wells.
