I have been using these headphones for the past few months. I never want to go back to wired headphones.

These aren't the greatest sound quality but they have around 8 hrs of battery life and don't yank when I run or pull away from the computer. Battery and quality will improve quickly.

I think wireless headphones are the way of the future.

edit: I mean they aren't the best sound quality for $150 headphones. I don't care how good your $10 headphones are and Apple doesn't either.

u/howembarassing2Bhumn · 5 pointsr/oneplus

$69, but they're a fugly neckband design that is worthless/uncomfortable AF if you intend to use them for anything active.

Which sucks, because I WAS excited for them, hoping they'd be like a cross between the Bullets V2 driver+housing and the headphone design Jaybird uses.

Hopefully version 2 is designed more with active people in mind instead of desk jockeys.

If you can get jaybirds, my boyfriend is a runner and loves his. They're Bluetooth and designed specifically to stay in the eat while working out.

Edit : https://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Sport-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B013HSW4SM they sell them on Amazon (not sure about U.K.). They're a little pricey but from what I know of them they're worth it. Also decent sound quality.

u/stacik123 · 5 pointsr/running

I just got a pair of jaybirds x2 (http://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Sport-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B013HSW4SM) as a gift. They are something I didn't even know I would want but now absolutely love. I used to be constantly shoving my headphones back into my ears during a run, but with these headphones I forget they are even there. They are super light, and because they are wireless I feel more free when I am running as there isn't some cord flapping around. Highly recommended. The only downside is the price.

I see them for $111.50

Anyone with Amazon Prime, they have the Jaybird X2 Bluetooth earbuds for 45% off today. Easily the best wireless workout headphones I've ever had, been using them in the gym for about a year. Cannot recommend them enough. I got the Jaybird X2s for running when they were on sale a couple weeks ago (at that point, the white ones were $70, although the price has gone back up since). Worth every penny. They're light and they don't fall out. The fact that they're wireless/bluetooth helps a lot since the weight of the cord isn't constantly pulling them out of my ears, nor is the cord getting in the way of my movement (resulting in me accidentally yanking them out of my ears). The sound quality isn't my favorite, I tend to prefer a bit more bass, but for a bluetooth running earbud, they're still pretty good.

Canada too..

I just ordered the Plantronics Backbeat FIT on Friday for the same price... Did I dun goofed, runnit? I guess I could still return them if some of you convince me these are the bee's knees.

u/ittimjones · 3 pointsr/Nexus6P

For headphones, Bluetooth is the way to go. I used to use these but now I use these. My wife uses these.

I use this armband case for running and working out. I turned off the screen lock while Runkeeper or Pandora are open. The headphones work well in controlling the music.

u/JRNTWKENG · 3 pointsr/iphone

I'd try the Jaybird X2s. They are awesome for the gym, or for just wearing in the office. The ear fins let me pull the buds out of my ear a little bit, which allows me to hear sounds around me (good for walking downtown).

These are some good Cans. The battery lasts me at least 2-3 days (8 hours per) before charging. Sound quality is good, but I'm no audiophile. I will take a step down in quality for ease of use and/or battery.

u/Berzerker7 · 3 pointsr/funny

The Jaybird X2s are regularly near $100 and get longer than 5 hours of battery on a single charge. Sure you have a slight chord, but I'd take that over these between-the-couch-cushion magnets.

u/tiggyspawn · 3 pointsr/headphones

Jaybird's wireless earbuds have a remote on them, so if you have an iPhone that'll work perfectly. I've owned my pair for ages and they stay in place nicely - SQ is ok, too.

Their X2 model seems to be on sale on amazon at the moment, I assume due to the fact that the X3 model has now been announced.

u/FEARthePUTTY · 3 pointsr/running

These Jaybird X2's are on sale right now. They have a lifetime warranty against sweat. I have the Freedom Sprints and love them.

I also would recommend a SPIbelt for the phone case. I have one that's water resistant so I don't ever worry about sweat or rain.

I use these. They come with a foam ear piece that stays put pretty good for me. Plus the battery life is great.

u/zeusiii · 2 pointsr/Fitness

Haven't used the Freedoms but I like the X3 more than the X2 for my purposes. Lower range isn't a problem for me and I find the battery lasts longer as a result of BT 4.1 being more efficient than BT 2.1 in the X2's. Proprietary charging cable can kind of be a bummer but I like that I don't have to plug anything in and risk port degradation of micro usb since the X3 just clips into the charger and uses contacts. The MySound app is a bonus in my eyes as well since I find these buds have a bit too much bass emphasis out of the box for my tastes.

X2 is definitely cheaper though. Amazon has some used ones from their warehouse deals in the $75-$80 range EDIT: Looks like these are gone now. Worth checking every once in a while though if you're interested.

Using the Beats Solo HD as an example, they cost at least $140, and have an estimated parts cost of ~$20. They also use metal weights (mounted to plastic, so they don't add any durability to the hinges) to make up a third of the headphone's weight -- a cheap and deceptive way to convey "quality". I see no reason to believe that their manufacturing / business practice with their earbuds is any different.

For $140, you could get a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50 or for a little more, a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-770 with much more respectable specs. FFS, they have a rapper's name as their brand. What do you think you're paying for?

$130-$200 for a pair of Powerbeats2 -- for that price you could get JaybirdX2 bluetooth earbuds and maybe even have money left over. Longer playback, smaller size, better tips, probably better sound quality, etc. Based on the design/size/price, the Powerbeats look to be more comparable to well-rated $50 pairs like the Photive PH-BTE70.

u/JESUS_on_a_JETSKI · 2 pointsr/pics

I have been using Jaybirds, currently the X2 model and have no issue through glass. Some walls are troublesome (depending on thickness and materials used in the wall), which is why I said "depending on the location of this station in the gym". My current gym is small - one giant, open room - and these would work great there.

u/aznanimality · 2 pointsr/nottheonion

I'm pretty sure he's agreeing with you.
He's saying that the whole point of the air pods is that they don't have that wire that goes behind the neck.
With the wire, you're basically getting one of those you're talking about.
And at that price point, you can get some amazing bluetooth earphones off amazon.

u/maltawind · 2 pointsr/headphones

I'm a fan of BT earbuds for working out even though the sound quality isn't necessarily going to equal that of wired earbuds.

I own the Denon AH-150WBK. Durable build quality, buttons easy to distinguish by touch, decent sound quality, earhooks keep buds securely in your ears.

Might also consider the Jaybird X2 Sport. Same plusses as the Denons.

Jaybird X2's

Lasts around 8 hours on a single charge, comes with foam eartips and is sweat resistant. Their customer service is pretty awesome too, will send you a new pair if you're having issues with your current pair.

u/zaphod777 · 2 pointsr/nexus6

I've got the Jabra Revo's and while they are not the most fashionable headphones and I wouldn't wear them in public they work really well for home use.

They have Dolby and when I'm watching video's on my Mac I can really tell when something has quality Audio. You can also pair your phone and PC to them.

For out and about I have the Jaybird X2's and they work pretty darn well but my first pair were duds that I hat to return for new ones.

u/CanDivideByZero · 2 pointsr/headphones

A lot of people i know use the Jaybird X2s at the gym.

u/xFIJI · 2 pointsr/Nexus6P

Headphones: Jaybirds. Sweat proof. Lifetime warranty on sweat. Great sound for the price. Perfect for gym or just casual. Wait for x3's. I got x2 they have problem with battery completely dying (atleast in my case), but the company always down to fix them. x3 coming out around October ("Fall") I think.

Case: Google live case, because swag and scratch protection. You can totally get cheaper/better (less swag) on Amazon. Spigen Rugged Armor comes in mind. Looks good but doesn't really protect the screen, you will need a bulky one for that.

u/Torsion_duty · 1 pointr/funny

I paid right under $100. 8/10 would buy again. Will not be returning. Defiantly worth checking out.
I would not pay $150. Wait until the warehouse gets more in.

I'll +1 the Jaybird X2's, been using Jaybirds for ever and love them. Not only is the sound quality great, but they have a lifetime warranty against sweat, which came in handy when they met their doom in the washing machine, and I have no fear wearing them into the steam room!

You can get the black for as low as $80 right now, an absolute steal.

My favorite by far. I also have the TaoTronics that's the 'best seller' on amazon. Both are good options. The jaybird's sound better, feel more premium, and are more comfortable to me. Also have better battery life. Only issue with the JB's are the tips that sometimes come off the earbud if you snag them the wrong way. If you're on a budget or think you'll lose them, taotronics is a good option.

u/hate_picking_names · 1 pointr/AdviceAnimals

I just have a fairly cheap pair of LG tone pros and they sound relatively good. I hear that Jaybird makes some pretty good buds like these.

u/Trekage · 1 pointr/iphone

One of the best bluetooth wrap around headsets on the market right now. They just announced the Jaybirds X3 and Freedom at CES so expect these prices to drop even more. http://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Sport-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B013HSW4SM/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1452637115&sr=1-1&keywords=jaybird+x2

Jaybird Bluebuds are amazing earphones if you can afford them. They are in ear, but you don't have to put large ones in your ear as the wings will keep them there. I do recommend Comply ear tips (the new X2s come with them) as they are memory foam and not only increase the sound quality but also increase comfort.

As far as what you're looking for, I don't they really exist. Not any good ones anyways. That style of earbuds aren't good for quality and fall out way too easily. I didn't like the marshmallow buds myself until I grabbed the Bluebuds X. They really do work and have never fallen out of my ear. In addition to the Comply tips the wings have helped them stay with a tight fit to keep sound in for better quality as the earbuds lose base when they aren't completely in.

Original Bluebuds X (doesn't come with Comply tips):

I have these and am loving them for the gym

I'll just use my Jaybird X2 Sport Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - here is a link, but I bought them when they were $79.99. In addition to using them while working out, they have been great for watching movies & tv shows. Plus, I've been watching a lot of BotW gameplay videos with them already, and I think they sound great. So for me, no need to get anything different.

The thing I like best about these is the range that I get. At the gym, I can have my phone at the security desk while I roam all over the place without any loss of signal.

u/Tikkaritsa · 1 pointr/running

Xiaomi Piston 3 but they aren't great for running so I got the MEE audio M6P recently. They sound good enough and fit well but I have yet to test them on a run though. Maybe tonight. I use the Piston 3 for every-day music listening and both models are cheap, like 15€.

I also bought the 180€ Jaybird X2 but returned them for their bad fit. Also I feel a lot better without wasting 180€ on IEMs.

3.5 stars on amazon. I don't necessarily care that much, but typically good products have a higher rating. To justify that kinda purchase i'd want better overall reviews.

I use Jaybird X2s. They are not wired, but the are the best headphones I've ever had. I had the first gen, then got these. Nice tones, long battery life (8 hours avg), and very light in weight.

I've owned the Jaybird X2's for over 2 years now: https://www.amazon.com/Jaybird-Sport-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B013HSW4SM

I've owned the Jabra Elite 65t's for 2 months now: https://www.amazon.com/Jabra-Elite-Wireless-Earbuds-Charging/dp/B077ZGRVRX/ref=sr_1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1525973659&sr=1-2&keywords=jabra+65t+elite

I have to say I was expecting to return the Jabra's after I tried them out. But the truly wireless experience is just awesome. No annoying wire rubbing against your neck, and they're always charged because I just keep them in the charger case.
