Yeah, the toys aren't cheap, but they do last.
The 'safety indicator' is on their normal models and it's a red ring of rubber inside of the black, so you can let them chew away until you see red, then you send it in for a new one.
We live in MN and it's common to be -25F (without windchill). At that temp, his feet freeze so bathroom breaks are quick. At -10, he'd be shivering, but with the fleece jacket, he doesn't seem to mind one bit. We bought it for outside only, but he loves it so much that we let him wear it full time (minus washes obviously). I'm really happy with the quality. I sent a PM, but basically because there's a lack of outdoor clothes for cats, I got dog clothes for my cat instead. I went to local pet stores to try on dog clothes in person to make sure the fit is ok.

I have a couple of Chilly Dog wool sweaters from Amazon. He has a deep chest. The other one I bought was the Green Cable knit (XL) http://www.amazon.com/Chilly-Dog-Green-Sweater-X-Large/dp/B007WAJUS4/ref=sr_1_1?srs=7148444011&ie=UTF8&qid=1452462141&sr=8-1&keywords=green+cable This one I don't like as much--it fits well in the chest but is so long in the body that it hangs over his tail. There are several sweaters in that turtleneck style that are cute, but probably won't get that kind again. I bet for your girl the L would work.
I like the Chilly Dog since they are made of 100% wool, not acrylic. The wool stays warm even when wet and doesn't get smelly as acrylic.
I am not a super fan of dressing up dogs, but I live in the upper Midwest, and when it is 10F or lower, my hound needs that extra layer!
Now if I could only find a pair of booties that would stay on his big paws!
Yeah, they are quite expensive. I live in the desert so it didn't seem worth it to me to get a pair of greyhound-specific jackets for my two at $60 apiece, so I bought some 'general dog' jackets for like $20 each in the XXXL size and they're actually pretty good except that the neck hole is obviously much wider than a li'l greyhound neck. If you want gear to keep your pup warm while you are out hunting you'll have to make a bit of an investment, but if you're just trying to keep him more comfortable for an hour at a time in winter, these are some options that have worked for me:

The fleece vest is very stretchy/forgiving and he will wear it for a day or two straight without issue (it's pretty light). The puffy vest is great for colder weather and adjusts well to different sizes, and if it's bitter cold I might even put it on over the fleece. I wouldn't leave that one on all day though unless you need it. The hoodie is cute but the chest is more restricting than the others so I would try the other options first.
I definitely recommend measuring your dog to make sure you are selecting the right size. Ours will happily play outside in the snow for 40 mins with a vest on, but only 10 mins without. If there is no snow he will stay outside over an hour easily with a vest.

sweet little sweater for my cat, Isabel. She's a super fluffy cat, but she's usually a little chilly in the winter. I purchased her from a rescue in Texas, who had received her from an organization in Kuwait so I don't think she's used to the really cold temps. It's the only time of year she will cuddle under the covers with me and she usually parks herself in front of the fireplace during the day. I think it would be cute :)

Yay! What a sweet face. My dog has the same supershort hair of a pitbull and she seems to always seek out heat. She either lays by the heater if its on, or curls up in one of those microplush blankets like yours has. Those things are amazing haha. She also burrows into blankets if given the opportunity, and it makes her feel more secure.
Anyways, she shivers a lot outside and so I dress her in this stretch fleece vest that is really stretchy and soft, so it feels like you're wearing nothing because its not constricting at all, but hugs the body. She will wear it inside as well. I also bought her this non-stretch fleece vest and if I leave it on her for too long, she starts walking against walls trying to rub it off, because it is constricting to an extent. Obviously it will take her a little time to adjust to a new home, but if she still seems unsure you could try a Thundershirt which gives them a more secure feeling.
Also her bed legit looks cozier than my bed!!

Meatball is absolutely ADORABLE! And this basket of goodies sounds delicious! I think Meatball would like this very stylish doggy sweater, this hide and seek toy kit that keeps my puppyboys busy for hours and even though it's crazy expensive, I think this is rather fitting for his name. Sorry for the delayed response! I just now saw your comment! I am still on the hunt for warm jackets/attire for my boxer. I purchased this off of Amazon and had to order an XXL so far it's working well.
I saw another post on here with a boxer in a snuggy! Super cute and I am probably going to look for one of those as well!
