Let's talk about concealed carry. I know he's still in preschool, but it's never too early to learn how to handle a weapon. At the very least, your boy could carry a small Super Soaker to get into the right mindset... (/sarcasm)

u/schoj · 20 pointsr/airsoft

Probably this.

>The pressure is equivalent to a super soaker water gun.

So if I didn't want to install a bidet...

u/MilSpec556 · 15 pointsr/The_Donald

This will put any Super Soaker to shame, literally best I have ever used: https://www.amazon.com/Stream-Machine-Soaking-17-Inch-Launcher/dp/B000OOZZTI

u/damnthatstoasty · 9 pointsr/ThingsCutInHalfPorn

Here's the link. They're discontinued IIRC, and not very good. The "clips" they use are a neat idea but it shoots a very small stream of water a very short distance.

After some research, this was the behemoth (if memory serves me correctly)

A roadrunner bird weighs 10 oz so you could probably launch one with this

We all know he will take the super soakers, but let us have the smaller caliber pistols that need reloaded after three shots. But the Super Soaker CPS 3200 was made for those hot days fighting terrorist in the desert and we don't need those in our backyards.

None. Supersoaker today is a shadow of what they once were. I think there was one pressurized blaster last year, but all others are trigger-less with a HAMP, or just little wimpy water pistols.

Otherwise, the Buzzbee Colossus 2 might be a good choice. Better range than Hasbro Blasters and a big capacity.

Sadly, the best water gun is no longer made. It had a backpack capable of holding two gallons, and shot far as hell. Discontinued in 2001 sadly. I wanted one so badly.

It was the last of a generation of guns that had pressurized tanks. Guns now use a system that shoots as you pump. It is not as good.
Awesome article about all this:

The gun you want is this though:

Make sure to get the backpack reservoir so you have plenty of ammo:

Meanwhile, though, they might need a few of these and a lot of this

i have 2 of these on my boat as backups. they can move a lot of water, and would be silent.

> So how did you get so much in?

Easiest way to get in that much lube is with one of those piston water guns.

> What did it feel like?

Feels awesome. Very filling. A feeling that is hard to describe. I am a skinny dude, so it makes me look fat. Also, makes taking other things much easier because the lube holds things open a bit.

> Did you push the lube out onto someone's face?

Yes.

May I suggest FH starts employing a little Aversion Therapy? Get one of these and one of these, and depending on if she is in the room or on the phone, every time she asks a question that has already been answered, treat it as the undesirable and inappropriate behavior choice that it is.

Also, on the Super Soaker front, a new listing for something called a "Microburst 2" (and is probably a mere remold of the original three shot piston squirter nah, looks like a straight-up squirt gun like the crap from last year; the original Microburst at least had a nice piston pump for its size) but is actually branded and packaged as the "ZombieStrike Extinguisher": http://www.amazon.com/SuperSoaker-Microburst-Blaster-Water-Soaking/dp/B00MXT4Y8U/

Go online and try to find the most realistic legal toy water gun you can that can be shipped to Holland if they're manufactured outside of the country. Particularly something like this, which should be completely legal since it is a bright neon color, see-through, and does not shoot any ammunition aside from a small squirt of water.

Another thing you'll want to do is apply motion tracking markers onto the gun to make identifying and motion tracking the gun throughout any movement it or the camera makes much easier, which makes any effects and alterations on to it really fast and simple for the software. There are specially-made motion tracking marker stickers that will adhesively apply to the surface of whatever you want to track, but a cheaper (and slightly less effective, but still entirely workable if done properly) solution is to use bright (or a particularly visible color against the surface of what you're tracking) pieces of tape placed along the gun in little squares, evenly and neatly, to allow yourself to have multiple clear and visible tracking points while the gun is moving around in your hands in the shots.

Now, you'll apply several effects to the gun to A) recolor it to a dark black and remove its see-through plastic, B) apply textures and details to it to ensure it realistically looks like a gun, and C) apply a very subtle lighting effect to the final 3D object that's tracked over the water gun, to ensure that the object blends in with the rest of the shot's lighting characteristics.

This. Proportional water bottle; its worked for me a few times.

As the Admiral of the San Diego LPS fleet, I highly discourage the use of water balloons. Not only are they probably against the Park and Rec laws for most bodies of water, but they LOOK like litter even if they are technically "biodegradable" after some period of time. Additionally they will end up rubber-cementing to your boat decks in the sun, which will NOT make the rental companies or boat owners happy.

Instead I suggest arming yourself with these: Water Blaster brand, Stream Machine brand.

Use boogieboard for shields - at least one per boat. They have proven themselves invaluable repeatedly.

Regarding custom built cannons, one of our Captains has actually designed and built a few cannon prototypes, but so far it's been more effort and cost effective to order the ones linked above. Note: The Waterblaster cannons are more reliable, more accurate, more serviceable, and considerably harder to break than the Stream Machine brand, although they have a slightly smaller capacity.

I was in Iraq in 2007 (Kirkuk) when our Wing King set up the Air Force's first Combat Dining In on our base to celebrate the Air Force's 60th birthday. It was exactly like a normal Dining In, except you wore DCUs (our regular deployed uniform at the time) instead of Blues. We started the tradition because we wanted to celebrate the AF's birthday with a formal event, but nobody brought Blues on their deployment (imagine that). So we adopted the Combat Dining In tradition from the other services. Ever since then, I've seen nothing but Combat Dining Ins everywhere I go, even at normal stateside bases. As if people are too lazy to get dressed up in their Blues for an actual formal event.

Personally, I hate them because they've changed so much from a normal Dining In. Normally, it's a formal event. You dress up in your fanciest Blues uniform, you're given a list of rules to memorize, and then you partake in a formal but fun event. Anyone who breaks the rules goes to drink from the grog bowl. (Usually a toilet bowl with a mix of any kind of drinks and other consumable liquids you can find. Typically, someone drops a Baby Ruth in it so it looks like a floating turd. Just to add to the disgusting nature of the bowl.)

At some point, someone pointed out that the rules just call for a military uniform and doesn't specify beyond that, so people started wearing their parents' old WWII uniforms, or Civil War replica uniforms, or even something as ridiculous as Roman soldier uniforms. Nowadays, people don't even expect the uniform to be legit; you make your own by sewing/tearing apart old uniforms and adding ridiculous shit to it.

Now that people are doing Combat Dining Ins all the time, the formality of the event has gone away and people wear torn up uniforms, carry around squirt guns and water balloons, and basically act like idiots. My wife just attended one a week ago and they printed deployment orders for all the attendees, data on their "deployment" that they had to memorize (location, mission, etc.) and they had to register their "weapons" and process the line like an actual deployment just to get in the front door. They also had to take part in combat training and exercises during the Dining In.

I miss the formal events. Dining Ins were a fun event where you could feel like one of the 1% for an evening. Everyone's dressed to the nines, Proper manners are expected, strict societal standards are established, and anyone who doesn't adhere to the formal rules would be punished with a drink from the nasty grog bowl. It felt like you time-traveled to the early 20th century where people wore elegant ball gowns and fancy suits to formal dinners. It was an amazing experience that you just don't see anymore, so I always loved attending Dining Ins whenever I could.

Now, the Combat Dining Ins have turned into a costume party where you're expected to walk out soaking wet. The formality is gone, the event has become "work" more than play, and you can't just sit, eat dinner, and enjoy the evening's events. I'm surprised they don't hold these events outside in an open field or something. It'd be more "combat" than a formal ball room at the enlisted/officer's club.

I haven't attended a Combat Dining In since that first one back in Iraq and I don't plan to in the near future. But for those who enjoy the event, my wife bought two Super Soaker Thunderstorms and two spare High Capacity Banana Clip Refills to wear on her belt. She bought an old BDU uniform from the Airman's Attic, tore off the sleeves, and turned one of them into a bandana with her SSgt rank sewn into the middle of it. She also bought a BDU camo sun hat which she could swap out for the bandana. And of course, camo face paint. I dunno what other alterations she made.

TL;DR - I'm an old man bitching about how Combat Dining Ins ruined the Dining In experience. Also, get off my lawn! ^Damn ^kids ^these ^days.

Pretty easy i use a water gun like this one, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000OOZZTI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_I75SBb7PA3DTD to suck all of the old water out

Why not get her own real life Splattershot?

I'm aware the secrets page says she uses Rollers.

But instead of just water I squeeze a touch of lemon into the water as well. I keep them around the house for when they "forget".

u/AzarothEaterOfSouls · 2 pointsr/politics

Yep. It's one of these these. It doesn't actually do anything, but it makes a whole lot of noise in the hopes that it can make you think it's doing something.

I use a weak dilution of Dr Bronner's and a heavy water gun like this. I can hit the nests on the second-floor eaves with that gun. But it uses about a quart per shot, so make a gallon or two and have the bucket handy. I keep some of the same mix in a sprayer for spraying individual bugs as needed the rest of the year.

u/bunnylebowski1 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I would love these water guns for my mom's daycare kids because they make me so happy everyday that I see them!

Thanks for the contest!

u/mistr_k · 1 pointr/AFoN

I don't advocate animal cruelty, but some of these can be real pests, and I suppose water isn't the worst weapon to use against them.

I would say a battery powered blaster like this: Electro Storm might work, but if you want something that's not noisy, the Point Break blaster will work. These two blasters all have a stream that is somewhat small.

Need something with a bit more power? The Scatter blast has 5 times the number of streams as the two above, in a scattered pattern.

And finally, if you want to knock the little bastards off your balcony, go with the Shot Blast. This Super Soaker is powerful enough to temporarily blind someone when fired at close range (trust me, I know). It's available at Target stores for the most part, which is why it's so expensive on Amazon.

My week is looking up. I started out my week by having to get my car out of tow and getting my tags renewed. Very stressful. My car is old (98) so doesn't always do so well with emissions. But it passed last night and I promptly burst into tears. In front of the emissions guy. Yup....

The rest of my week is going to be very quiet and absolutely nothing is going to happen. I am going to do homework, do housework, marvel over the fact that my tomato plant is flowering and cuddle with my doxies.

I was thinking maybe this 3-in-1 retro console, this Super Soaker 2000, this Bop-It, or maybe a really heavy duty big wheels.

Tillad mig at anbefale stream machine QF-2000. Jeg havde et lignende problem med duer og det er løst nu

Yes, definitely mass. You can get even more than from your cast iron buy placing a sheet pan at the bottom with bricks (as mentioned above) or, as in Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery, rocks and chains on it. Not that you may want to do this, but they also use a stream machine (water gun) to shoot water onto the preheated tray (at a safe distance) in order to get a ton of steam in the oven right at the start of bread baking.

I had a couple ideas while reading the first book, but never implemented them. Here's the notes I made:

Hufflepuff Barrell

Solenoid for latch - http://www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-DC3-12V-Push-Pull-Type-Solenoid-Electromagnet-DC-Micro-Solenoid-ACM-/361406950245?hash=item5425886b65:g:i04AAOSw~bFWG3OZ
basics - http://www.instructables.com/id/Secret-Knock-Detecting-Door-Lock/
Vinegar squirt - http://www.amazon.com/Nerf-Super-Soaker-Electro-Storm/dp/B0060Y27O2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454354118&sr=8-1&keywords=motorized+squirt+gun

Need to figure out making a barrel
Detect when lid is closing and pull back solenoid again
Spray's vinegar if the knock is wrong.

Ravenclaw Door Knocker

> Without wishing to boast, this is the house where the cleverest witches and wizards live. Our founder, Rowena Ravenclaw, prized learning above all else – and so do we. Unlike the other houses, who all have concealed entrances to their common rooms, we don’t need one. The door to our common room lies at the top of a tall, winding staircase. It has no handle, but an enchanted bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. When you rap on the door, this knocker will ask you a question, and if you can answer it correctly, you are allowed in. This simple barrier has kept out everyone but Ravenclaws for nearly a thousand years.

> Some first-years are scared by having to answer the eagle’s questions, but don’t worry. Ravenclaws learn quickly, and you’ll soon enjoy the challenges the door sets. It’s not unusual to find twenty people standing outside the common room door, all trying to work out the answer to the day’s question together. This is a great way to meet fellow Ravenclaws from other years, and to learn from them – although it is a bit annoying if you’ve forgotten your Quidditch robes and need to get in and out in a hurry. In fact, I’d advise you to triple-check your bag for everything you need before leaving Ravenclaw Tower.

This works fairly well when mine won't shut up. Just soak it enough that it spends an hour cleaning itself.
