I shower in the dark every morning. I also have this. Best. Purchase. Ever.

u/[deleted] · 100 pointsr/TwoXChromosomes

I used to have one like this.

Note the water jets concentrated in the middle.

I always found that showerheards where the central jets are a little further spaced don't give me the pressure I need to, uh.. Rinse the hair dye out of my hair when I'm done dying it.

u/stufff · 56 pointsr/CrappyDesign

You can get a pretty amazing detachable shower head for $25. This is the one I got on Amazon. It's totally worth spending $25 to up your shower experience and make sure you pressure wash your butthole. I like the occasional rimjob and I will reciprocate, but I want to make sure that butthole is clean. This gets the job done.

I rescued a german shepherd mix when he was about 2 months old and he just turned 2 years! He's awesome!

Join /r/dogs for great community, support, and advice.

Here are some of my dog's favorites if you're lost on what to Wishlist on Amazon:

  • Hands down the best ball for fetch, if he likes fetch
  • And the launcher I like this one b/c you can just throw it in a backpack and it'll zip all the way closed (I like to keep a backpack w/ my dog's park toys, some treats, poop bags, wet ones/purell, and his shot records) The best thing about the chuck-it is that you don't have to pick up a slobbery ball.
  • Three very good chew bones
  • Advantage Multi if you're not often taking him onto tick-heavy hikes. If you need tick control, get Frontline and Interceptor for heartworm.
  • The best dog frisbee and I've tried a half dozen. Doesn't fly the best, but it's the most durable, safe, and flies great with a little practice.
  • This Car seat cover is great
  • Flexi leash is really handy when used appropriately.
  • Poo bags can never have enough of. and you go through them pretty quick.
  • Dog backpack great for burning off energy on walks/hikes, and makes them feel like they're doing an important job! I have this one in black. works great.
  • Collapsible water bowl handy for hikes/camping/outings
  • european style leather lead (leash) I'm preferential to the feel of leather for leashes/collars. And the european is absolutely the best - adjustable length and super easy to tether them to a pole/fence if you're eating outdoors or running into a store or something (of course use common sense when doing this!)
  • Harness I'm not a fan of harnesses - they're annoying to put on/take off and just encourage a dog to pull more. But if you want him to pull, towing you on a skateboard or something (my dog loves this) then it's great
Furminator GSD mixes don't need regular brushing, but this one works great for shedding season
Dremel for nail trimming GSD = black nails, a bit trickier to trim. I use this with lots of treats to put a nice round edge and take off a bit of length of my dog's nails. works good but get him accustomed to it slowly and with lots of treats. Pretty soon he won't mind.
*Zukes are great treats for training
  • Bowls that don't tip over. Easy to wash. can't break. My pick.
  • Big crate I use for vacations when I bring my dog but need to leave him in a hotel room or something. It's big and bulky but I like to give him room to move around comfortably.
  • A good shampoo I like hydrosurge unscented but it's not on Amazon =\
  • deodorizer I give my dog a little spritz between baths if he starts to get funky
  • A shower head like this makes bathing super painless. I just bring my dog in the shower w/ me along with some treats and it's quick and easy.
  • a scrubber like this gets my dog cleaner than I can with my hands. I found one at petco I like

Wow I kind of didn't realize I have so much shit for my dog. But he's family so...anyway. Also costco has great beds for $20ish (comparably $80+ from a petstore) They also carry Frontline, lots of treats (buscuits, duck breast jerkey - the best!) good food (Iams ProActive goes on sale once in a while, and they also carry Natures Domain salmon/sweet potato food that's really good).

Amazon, I just looked it up. There’s an R2D2 one also. They have excellent reviews, I’m totally getting one for my son, they’re super cool.

https://www.amazon.com/Waterpik-SM-653CG-Original-Shower-Massage/dp/B00178KW8E

My (long distance) boyfriend got me that for my birthday last year and it has been excellent ever since!

Also, regardless of which model you choose, I would recommend buying a longer hose. Replacing the original hose of the Waterpik model with a standard interchangeable 8 foot hose lets me sit in the bathtub while using the showerhead. I have trouble getting off while standing so it's important for me that the hose reaches the bathtub floor, but it's just more comfortable and useful for doing actual washing things. :p

u/mediatechaos · 24 pointsr/LifeProTips

Buy three of these, two of these, and something like this. Completely changes the shower.

u/easyski · 18 pointsr/DIY

Sorry about that! Here are some details.
I am a DIYer with no formal training. I just read a lot of stuff online (don't we all?). It took me 7 full days from start to absolute completion, 2 more days that I was expecting, but not bad overall. Total cost was around $2500. Luckily I have another full bath in the house.

Some of the components:

Vanity

Mirror

Tub

Glass door I purchased this at Lowes as well, but could not locate it on their website

Toilet with slow closing lid (will not slam down)

Floor Tile

Shower Tile

Accent Tile

Shower Head Highly recommended!!

The paint color is "Stone Fence" at homedepot 720F-4

I used an electric floor heating pad under the area that will be walked on, Although I have yet to experience a winter with it, I know how nice heated tile feels, it was worth the cost, about $250 just for that. Per the instructions, after you put the electric grid down, you are supposed to seal it down with mortar. I made my own, but if I were to do it again, I would have used the "pre-mixed" stuff from HD/Lowes so I did not have to worry about consistency/mixing it myself.

I used mortar as a base under the tub, although it was not required for that tub, I can NOT stand a squeeky tub, I am very glad I did this, I know I will never have to worry about it squeeking.

The biggest issue I ran into was tiling the shower, you don't realize how much square footage it really is. It was very tedious and it didn't help that I did not have a good tile saw, I'd recommend renting a good one so you don't drive yourself crazy as I almost did! It took me two full days to tile the shower.

I built an inverted shelf into the wall. This idea came after looking at pictures of a lot of tile showers online, this is how I got some of my inspiration. Just remember to put a slight incline into the base of the shelf so that water does not collect. I used Hardie-Backer for the walls (1/2in) and on the floor (1/4in).

If you need to drill holes into the tile (as I did to install the shower door), spend the money and get a good diamond bit, at my lowes, this good tile bit was not located with the tiling supplies (a cheap "kobalt" one was) it was located with all the other tools, the one I finally purchased that worked was from Hitachi and was something like $20 for one bit. I also used a dremel with a diamond cutting wheel to cut the holes for the shower plumbing, it took some time but was the easiest way I could think to do it.

One lesson I learned was to buy more than what you think you need, tile, adhesive, other supplies etc. Virtually everything can be returned for a full refund and it saves you an extra trip.

If you have any other questions, I'd be glad to answer them.

u/joshTheGoods · 16 pointsr/LifeProTips

I got this one, and it's pretty damn awesome in terms of water pressure.

u/stargatesg9 · 14 pointsr/legaladvice

Can you take a picture of how it is locked? Is there a brand on the lock? There has to be a way to remove it.
Everywhere I have lived I always changed the showerhead and then changed it back when I moved out.
I always put on one of those handheld shower heads.

But if there is a tub then you are in luck, you dont have to remove it.
Buy one of these shower sprayers that attach to the tub faucet.
https://www.amazon.com/Holmz-Selfix-04430201-04-Slip-On-Portable-Shower/dp/B001AZHM1O
Read the reviews, to make it work properly you need to put a screw type pipe clamp around it so it does not slip off.

  • These socks are the softest, comfiest socks I've ever owned.
  • These leggings are fleece lined and super warm
  • This is just the best dress ever. CowCow has a lot of great prints, and the dresses are great quality.
  • This hat, just because.
  • This so you never have to smell poop again.
  • The best shower head ever.
  • This hairbrush, because it gets tangles out like magic and doesn't even hurt while doing so.

My family had a $20 limit for years. About 15 years ago, my mom got me a used VCR out of the thrift store - left the $17.99 sticker on it so the whole family could see she stayed under the 20 buck limit. That was a huge surprise. It was a luxury I couldn't have afforded on my own (they were selling for $200 back then) and it's still running fine today.

So I guess it depends on your recipient. but maybe you can make that $20 go toward something both long-lasting, and something your giftee really wants. Luxury items are affordable if the stars align.

as far as buying new under the BIFL flag, I'd over-spend by 4 bucks and get this showerhead.

Or pick a book they'd love off amazon. Books are archaic, but make great gifts. espcially the funny, coffee-table variety.

u/SwoleFlex_MuscleNeck · 13 pointsr/mallninjashit

Nope, I was gonna comment on that, I got one like this on Amazon for my girlfriend for V-day. It's the tits.

It's like $25 on prime.

u/Nowin · 12 pointsr/AdviceAnimals

I bought Ana Bath SS5450CBN a year ago. Best decision ever.

u/InquisitorVawn · 8 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

OP - you could get a portable showerhead, it's a rubber hose that has a fixture that slips over the bath faucet, if you have a bathtub. I wouldn't use it to wash your whole body, but for intimate washing it'd be suitable.

Waterpik makes excellent pulsating shower heads. Here is Amazon's Waterpik + Pulsating search results. Although it's worth noting that all Waterpik's detachable shower heads have the pulsating feature (see the chart in the product description section here).

We have this one in our shower; the original is a classic with a really strong pulse.

If you need better pressure in your shower buy this shower head

Edit: fixed formatting

u/wbgraphic · 5 pointsr/LifeProTips

For ten bucks, it's tough to beat this. Great pressure (after removing the restrictor), and the massage mode is fantastic on a sore back.

This one is the same thing, but with a matching hand-held head. Haven't enjoyed a shower so much in years.

u/casual__t · 5 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

My shower head needs replaced and I think this would work nicely. Plus I could shower in the dark this way. I'm weird like that.

Oxygenics 74151 STAR WARS Darth Vader Handheld Shower Head

u/CouldBeRaining · 4 pointsr/entwives
u/abishop711 · 4 pointsr/BabyBumps

We have a detachable shower hose thingie! It was only about $20 on amazon (but make sure to buy some plumbers' tape too so you don't get leaks right where it screws on).

Super easy to install! Unscrew old shower head, wrap plumber tape around the threads a bunch of times. Screw new shower head on. Turn on water to check for leaks. If it leaks, then turn it off and unscrew and put more plumber tape on. Once it doesn't leak anymore, you're done!

Then you can just grab the shower head off the hook and rinse your lady bits nice and clean!

Edit: this one. It's $25 now. It can do both shower heads at once, but we usually keep it set to the upper hose one only to keep the water pressure higher. You'll have much lower water pressure if you use both heads at the same time.

u/Future_Appeaser · 3 pointsr/LifeProTips

This one is the best simply because it has a mist setting that gets everything off and covers your entire body.

If you take out the 2 water flow restrictors shown in the reviews it makes the water pressure double.

u/frenchmeister · 3 pointsr/StarWars

Maybe not the weirdest, but my favorite is still the Darth Vader shower head that violently cries and vomits water on you.

u/slicist · 3 pointsr/HaircareScience

I'm thinking about trying an in-line shower water filter. Kind of like how you can buy custom showerheads, some of them come with filters. I have similar issues and after switching up my shampoos/cleansers and treatments I'm beginning to suspect the water more and more.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about (simple inline filter without the showerhead): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M03C6PO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_gU0NybY67DNCN

Here's one that comes with its own shower head, or maybe it's built in: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014PVXU5G/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_lS0NybN5357QS
(Not sure this one is specifically for hard water, but with activated carbon I'm sure it's going to be doing some work)

Now these are just examples, perhaps good products but again I can't say because I haven't tried them or done my research. Google or Amazon search "shower hard water filter" and figure out what suits your needs. These products also seem to be decently inexpensive to boot. Worth a shot.

If you end up getting one, send me a review, I'd love to hear if it helped you out-- again, I'm in the same boat! :)

Sorry I don't know what IB is.

Generally, if somebody goes out on a limb to say you have BO... they wouldn't lie about it. Especially if two people, one of whom is your friend, have told you this.

It might be a matter of how you shower. You'll forgive me for being blunt here, but this is how I handle body hygiene: I got a shower hose, which took less than an hour to install, and when I shower I make sure to really get in there. And by "in there" I mean deep between my buttcheeks. I prefer using a non-creamy soap bar (Irish Spring) and, with soap in one hand and the handheld shower set to "JET!" in the other, after I have lathered the rest of my body, I scrub and scrub "in there" for a good minute or two.

Additionally, I recommend wet wipes (or even better, a bidet sprayer, but let's start with the basics for now) because simple dry TP doesn't really get you very clean.

You can't go wrong with the handheld-shower vigorous butt-scrub at least once a day. Highly recommended.

I got you boo boo!

My favorite method is to get a shower shot. This is the one I have and I love it, but it’s VERY easy to cause a bigger problem with a shower shot than you had to begin with (explanation below.) I bought my shower shot along with this shower head which I can discreetly unscrew the handheld shower head and screw in my shower shot when I need to use it and none of my roommates have a clue that I just rinsed out my butthole. It also allows me to control the water pressure on the shower head.

The better method to start with would is to go to the pharmacy and get some Fleet Enemas. Enemas or a Bulb Douche are the preferred beginning option because it’s easier to control how much water you’re using.

So, as a few other people have mentioned douching isn’t always necessary. If you have enough insoluble fiber in your diet, your body will clean about 95% of the debris out on its own. Insoluble Fiber helps to add bulk to your stool and hold it all together so when you go to the bathroom, there aren’t any little pieces left behind up there. Do not mistake that with soluble fiber which draws more water into your colon. I still prefer to give it a quick swish just for peace of mind, confidence, and comfort.

When you douche as far as water is concerned, less is more. You ONLY want to rinse out your rectum. This is why Fleet Enemas are good because they’re designed to hold the right amount of fluid. You DO NOT want to use too much water as it can over-fill your rectum and spill into your colon. If that happens, you can douche until the water runs clear, and then 10 minutes later a brown slurry begins dropping into your once clean rectum and... it’s NOT GOOD! If possible, you want to douche, and later have sex, after you have a good solid bowel movement. So go bop bop, shower and douche multiple times with a few ounces of saline/water until the water you push out runs clear a few times. Then soap and shower as normal.

Do NOT have sex immediately after douching. Despite your best efforts, chances are there is still some leftover water/saline in your rectum which you want to give 30 minutes or so for your body to reabsorb what’s left behind or you might spring a leak!

Now, douching is great in my opinion BUT you do not want to douche all the time. Douching strips healthy mucuses out of your rectum which potentially could increase your risks of contracting STDs. Your rectum is also home to a whole biological ecosystem which is part of a healthy immune and digestive system. The general consensus from doctors that I’ve read is that if you’re JUST rinsing out a small section of your lower GI like your rectum, it’s probably not not much of a concern but why upset your gut biome at all if you don’t have to. Douching is great! But don’t over do it.

I think that about covers it! If I missed anything or you have any questions feel free to ask!!!

  1. THIS is awesome, but pricy. Your showers would be fantastic!
  2. I need a rubber ducky for the tub. :P I like to sit down in the shower with the water hitting me. My cat is obsessed with running water and sits on the side, between the curtains. I prefer morning showers, but I generally take a bath at night. The cat always tries to climb on me in the tub, she fell in once when she was really small... She still tries it every time, though.

Been using the tub faucet since I was 9. Of course this led to underwater jets and hand held showerheads. Of the three, the tub is what I use the most and is #2 in terms of orgasm preference. Underwater jets I use the least but is #1 on orgasm preference. The showerhead is #3 on orgasm preference (but still preferred to a vibrator).

I'd say most German/northern European women use their showerhead this way and it's a way many girls learn how to masturbate.

This is the best showerhead I've used:

Previous shower area was around 30 years old. Fake marble walls, small wall niche, leaks in the corners and ugly plumbing.

Over the course of 3 weeks (had to go housesit elsewhere - we only have one bathroom), we gutted the old furnishings down to the studs, built a new niche, added backerboard, waterproofing membrane, new tiles, new fixtures, and had the tub re-furbished (by a pro).

If anyone's curious, here's some products we used.

Tile:

Backerboard:
James Hardie Backer Board

Tile saw:
http://www.amazon.com/SKIL-3540-02-4-2-Amp-7-Inch-Tile/dp/B003HIWR08

Waterproofing membrane:

Fixtures:

http://www.amazon.com/Re-modeling-Pfister-Shower-Porcelain-Handles/dp/B001EBWG74

We learned as we went with this (also made many mistakes that thankfully aren't too bad on completion). Upon gutting the shower - found a bit of mold growing on the old green board backing material. Was actually better than expected. We also didn't want to swap out the old 2 knob faucet for something newer (required more plumbing work than we wanted) so we ordered a 3 knob version and just used two of the knobs/stems. Works great.

And a ton of knowledge from this incredibly useful YouTube channel.

We installed one similar to this one in our apartment that came with a "fixed to the wall" style. The little connector piece that screws into the pipe coming out of the wall should be universal in modern apartments in America :)

u/complich8 · 2 pointsr/tall

I'm a strong advocate of handhelds, Just hold it where you want it!

u/bassboat1 · 2 pointsr/HomeImprovement

It's unlikely that the spout has a screw-in aerator (that would be too easy). You may be able to use a rubber wand connector like this. Third option would be to remove the spout and plumb in a wand connector (some unscrew, others have a set screw, some just pull off).

The real issue is that the tub deck aren't made for pooling water. You'll need a curtain that drops inside the tub.

u/TiredOfBeingMediocre · 2 pointsr/malelivingspace

Not really a decorative idea, but I would recommend getting a detachable shower head (I have this one ). Cheap, easy to install, and gosh it makes showers so much better!

You know, for most showers, it is as simple as unscrewing the current shower head and putting a new one on. I mean, it is really simple. You can get a pretty decent one for less than $25 too.

u/ethidda · 2 pointsr/HomeImprovement

You should be able to change out the shower head. I've always done so for my rentals (and purchases).

Here's what I just bought today for my house: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004NXT3TE/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Make sure you have teflon tape to seal the connections: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Gasket-2842G-Teflon-Tape/dp/B000BWCFT6/ref=pd_sim_hi_1

And if your new shower head is still anemic, check to see if you can remove the flow restrictor. (The cheaper ones usually don't, and are the simplest way to obtain higher water pressure if that's all you're looking for.)

This is a great contest idea and an optimistic take on a poor situation! I'm sorry your card got stolen, but I'm glad it's NOT MY CARD.

This is the story of an item that helps stop fraudulence. As we all know, fraud occurs when what we are told is not actually true... There is one place that this happens far too often, right in our own homes! It happens to everyone from little children to the elderly. Even you have probably been a victim! What is this mysterious fraudulence?, you ask. Well, it is your bathroom shower! (Dun, dun, duuuuun). Every morning when you turn the dial to hot and water starts pouring out of the shower head is it really hot? How long should you wait? When will the fraudulent water temperatures end? Here is the answer! Help end shower water fraud!

The 396 gph version isn't much more expensive. To keep from using too much ice, you could start by letting the pot rest on its own for a few minutes (try a hop stand!), then switch to cold tap water through the pump, then switch that out for ice water. The key is just maintaining a high differential between the wort and whatever you're cooling with.

Another option -- and this is a little off the wall -- is to use your shower. You could switch to a handheld shower, get a diverter, or get a showerhead with a splitter that would let you easily swap in your wort chiller. Handheld showers use a pretty standard 1/2" thread.

  2. I actually have a rubber ducky that sits in my shower. I've had him for over 10 years now. Oh the things that he's seen.
u/wildcatz311 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Um... because who doesn't need a showerhead that lights up like this one also it's hand held and stationary :)~

Rubber Ducky

Usually I shower with the SO... Water conservation and all that ;) usually at night before we go to bed... and they are usually LONG showers :D

Thanks for the contest

edit cause someone picked the same shower head :)

I think this is really cool.

I like a cool shower before bed. Then if i'm cold I can snug right down in my blankies.

This is cool

I don't really have a shower ritual, I don't sing. I do workout, but usually have other stuff to do right after, like pick up my little brother, get groceries, so I shower after that. I have a towel in my car just to put on my seat so it doesn't start to smell of sweat. Whenever I have up.
Funniest thing was prolly when I decided to try to find a way to smoke a cigar while taking a shower. What I did was take some electrical tape and take a plastic baggie to near where the band is, I then cut the back part of the baggie so it was open and the cigar could get through, this was taped to a cling wrapped kitchen roll tube which was attached to a toilet paper tube that was facing upwards, like the bowl of a pipe, and I have to run a metal rod underneath it all so that it didn't break. It worked, I had to take a 45 minute shower to finish it, but it worked.

  1. I have this one. It's nice, but I don't know if I would have bought it at that price. It came with the house I'm renting.

  2. Morning, always. I have bangs and thin hair, so my hair looks awful immediately. I don't particularly have any shower rituals, except kinda boring practical things like I let my conditioner sink in while I shave :P

This one, because 2 shower heads are waay better than 1.

One ritual I have is setting the shower head to the highest mode it can go and let it hit my back. Almost as good as a back massage.

u/aethiopica · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Double the shower head, double the fun (now with lights for when you don't want anyone else to know you're in the shower).
I try to shower every morning, usually after exercising...I have slipped more often than I care to admit. Luckily no serious injuries sustained thus far!

  1. This one looks really cool. I love the combo because you don't have to get cold while you use the handheld thing. And it has cool lights.

  2. My favorite shower ritual is letting my cat get in the tub with me while the water is heating up. He likes to stand on the dry part and drink the water that pools in the tub before I turn on the shower. Then when I turn on the shower I put the lining over him so he doesn't get sprayed with water. Maybe one day he won't need the liner =)
u/SickRose · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Screw it, go all out.

Ok, more realistically, try this. Nice long hose and adjustable shower head are great for puppies.

Finally, I actually DO own a rubber ducky! He hangs out in my bathroom

u/theWebDon · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I've been drooling over [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Ana-Bath-SS5450CBN-Function-Showerhead/dp/B0043BEUXK/ref=sr_1_cc_3?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1372183825&sr=1-3-catcorr&keywords=shower+heads) shower head for a while now. I guess my only shower ritual is to take a dump while waiting for the hot water to heat up. That and brushing my teeth while on the pot. Not really a shower ritual per se, but close enough.

u/sandhouse · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Don't know your budget but this one looks nice.

I listen to music in the shower usually. It helps my phobia of being alone. I also use a shower chair because I'm disabled and take ten breaths between everything or else I'll be out of breath for 30 mins after. Showering is a big pain in my ass. I don't do it every day anymore.

u/MCubb · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon
  1. This bad boy looks pretty cool! Lots of different settings and such!

  2. I take a "double shower" (that is do everything twice: 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, and 2 whole body soap-ups) every time I come home from work. I work outside so I'm covered in nasty sunscreen by the end of the day!

u/Sieberella · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon
  1. This one looks like it could be good. It's got five settings! I have one of those rainfall ones now and I hate it. I miss removable shower-heads, they feel so good on your scalp!

  2. Shower Ritual: I sing oldies songs in the shower all the time. Don't know why lol.

Also, funny story: I used to have a shower curtain that was white, but had a clear see through window that went right where my face would peek out. My boyfriend works for Walmart and would always bring home the giant cardboard standers from movies that had come out. I went into the bathroom one morning to get ready and felt something watching me. I turned and screamed. There was Kiera Knightly circa Pirates of the Caribbean standing in my shower staring at my through my shower curtain window.

  • Ok, I was going to post this shower head but I see someone else has already done that and it certainly does seem like the most awesome shower head on Amazon. Now, I'm quite new to RAoA, so I hope this isn't considered heresy, but I found another shower head that also looks pretty awesome, but sadly is NOT available on the amazon website. (Is this considered bad form? Will I get banned? I'm so scared right now!)

> I can't use any objects like vibrator, etc., as they are illegal from where I live.

Really? Because lots of things vibrate and work just fine:

You can buy an electric toothbrush and hold the base against your clit.

Or get a "Shiatsu Pillow Massager."

Or a "Swedish massager."

Or a "Deep Tissue Handheld Muscle Massager" like this or like this.

Or a showerhead extension with a pulse setting.

None of these things look like sex toys, and all of them have other perfectly legitimate functions.

[Note: The links are examples of the types of items, not specific recommendations.]

AquaDance High Pressure 6-Setting 3.5" Chrome Face Handheld Shower with Hose for the Ultimate Shower Experience! Officially Independently Tested to Meet Strict US Quality & Performance Standards https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H2DG1SW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3gH1AbBBDYY7H

Only $17. I prefer to buy in person though, because it's easier to check the package to see what tools or whatever you might need.

If you're renting, you should be able to either swap it back to the original, swap it to another standard showerhead, or convince your landlord it's an upgrade.

If you're short, i suggest you bribe a tall and steady handed person to install it. It's pretty easy if you can reach, and most shower heads are shipped with the washers and Teflon tape you need to install.

u/bloodrosey · 1 pointr/pics

Darn, the amazon reviews say it requires a lot of pressure since it uses some of your water pressure to power the lights and that the sound it makes from the turbine is loud. Don't have enough shower pressure to use this. :(

u/Captain-Tripps · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Changing my shower arm , getting a water diverter , getting any rainfall shower head, combining it with a high pressure hose shower head and a suction cup shower bar so you don't have to drill . Every time I bathe I feel like I'm in a spa.

u/LaserBeamsCattleProd · 1 pointr/NoStupidQuestions

You don't wanna do that. If you twist that pipe, which threads into another pipe, you're going to either tighten or loosen that connection. Over-tightening can break it completely. Loosening can cause a leak.

Any leak behind a wall is a really, really bad thing. Even if it's one drip every couple of hours, it can potentially cause $1,000's of dollars of damage.

Best bet is to get a removable showerhead. You can shop around and find one cheaper, please don't go messing with plumbing.

u/judgemebymyusername · 1 pointr/Frugal

I put in 2 low flow shower heads this year and they are definitely not low on water pressure. You can put less water through smaller holes and get the same pressure.

  2. My jam song really depends on what's popular at the time, but I'm on an 80s kick lately so it's usually Foreigner, or Journey right now. I shower in the mornings to wake me up, but after a long day, or a stressful day the first thing I do when I come home from work is take a shower to wash the stress of the day away. My cat is addicted to the shower. Yes, you read that correctly. He likes hanging out in the shower and playing with the water.
