Persona 5 - PlayStation 4 "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition Edition already up on Amazon if you are intrested in getting it. It doesn't show up if you search for it but use this link. It is $89.99 and if you have Prime you get 20% off pre-orders making it $71.99.

Edit: Currently sold out. Personally I would keep tabs on the listing as it might come back in stock at a later date.

Edit2: I was able to pre-order one when it first came up here is proof. Keep an eye on Atlus official website it lists all the retailers that this will be available at.

If you enjoyed the original Kingdom Hearts, it's really not all that bad! The 1.5 + 2.5 collection (Amazon link) that comes out on March 28th will be $50, and it includes everything except for 2.8. All of the games included have been well-received - and the 2 that weren't have been changed into "cutscene movies."

If you're not into this style of game, it certainly is a lot to take on. But I've always enjoyed the faster-paced combat of Kingdom Hearts, and I have enough childhood-nostalgia left in the tank to see the series through to completion.

I've heard Destiny 2 has lost it's momentum from the first game. Why spend $30 on the base game or $53 on the base + season pass when they will likely release something along the lines of The Taken King edition and Rise of Iron edition/Collection?

So Target has done this promotion before where you pre-buy a game and get $20 off a certain title, and, while some say is dishonest, you can probably get some of these titles for cheaper than the $30-40 that they advertise for. While I'm not here to tell you what's right or not, I am here to post game deals, and, well, this is part of it.

Without knowing what the "& more" titles are, I'll start with the ones that Target has listed in the ad. In order to get them cheaper, you ask for one of the games that's listed and tell them that you want to price match to a competitor's price. Target policy is that they have to escort you to the customer service desk to do the promotion where they have to look the price up on one of their iPads. Bring the pre-order card with you as they can check you out at the CS desk. I advise that you also have a few other items with you as this is where it gets kind of grey. Some team members will do the price match and promotion no problem, others won't claiming that you can't combine promotions (which is true according to Target's employee handbook). The issue in question, however, is if price matching is considered a promotion. It does not clearly define price matching as a promotions, so, really, it's up to the regional area if they will do it or not. I've found that having other items doesn't really raise any red flags when I did this promotion back about a year ago (you can then return said items at a later date for a full refund of those items making your final cost the sale sale price). Up to you. Anyway, here are the games that are in the promotion and their "better" prices at other stores (Current as of this posting):

  • GAME, console [Store with link] - The price at the store - promotion = total price at Target

  • CoD: Ghosts, PS3 [ Walmart ] $23.53 - $20 = $3.53

  • CoD: Ghosts, PS4 [ Walmart ] $37.79 - $20 = $17.79

  • CoD: Ghosts, Xbox 360 [ Walmart / Amazon ] $22.28 - $20 = $2.28

  • CoD: Ghosts, Xbox One [ Amazon ] $21.69 - $20 = $1.69

  • GTAV, PS3 [ Amazon ] $35.13 - $20 = $15.13

  • GTAV, Xbox 360 [ Amazon ] $34.91 - $20 = $14.91

  • Watch Dogs, PS3 [ Walmart ] $39.71 - $20 = $19.71

  • Watch Dogs, PS4 [ Walmart / Amazon ] $37.70 - $20 = $17.70

  • Watch Dogs, Xbox 360 [ Walmart ] $38.96 - $20 = $18.96

  • Watch Dogs, Xbox One [ Walmart / Amazon ] $37.22 - $20 = $17.22

  • Titanfall, Xbox 360 [ Walmart / Amazon ] $36.92 - $20 = $16.92

  • Titanfall, Xbox One [ Walmart ] $34.87 - $20 = $14.87

It should be noted, that if you try to price match against Amazon, they will do the price of the product that is both SHIPPED and SOLD by Amazon. The "Fulfilled by Amazon" won't count! The prices listed above for Amazon are those prices current as of this comment. Some games are the same price at Walmart and Amazon, both links have been provided just in case one changes

I'll update it if I/you guys find out any other games.
u/kpopper2013 · 22 pointsr/PS4Deals

This is a great price for a great game. I submitted it to Amazon hoping they'll price match. I have more benefits there.

E: Amazon has price matched!

u/osueboy · 21 pointsr/FFBraveExvius

Im not salty, i just want to remember everyone the price of Nier Automata PS4 game :https://www.amazon.com/Nier-Automata-PlayStation-4/dp/B017S3OPZM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502464299&sr=8-1&keywords=nier+automata

Full game, so i wouldnt spend more than a tiny fraction of that amount on a pixel version of Nier characters.

u/billybombill · 20 pointsr/PS4Deals

Nice! Also, Amazon is $48 for prime members (20% off preorders or within 2 weeks of release, apparently)

u/ColdFury96 · 18 pointsr/FORTnITE

https://www.amazon.com/Fortnite-PlayStation-4/dp/B071WNVX56

$60 game. Physical copy, no mention of 'early access' anywhere except in customer reviews.

Go to the Epic page selling the game... you can find the words "Early Access" if you scroll to the very bottom of the very long page that describes all the features you get in the edition you're purchasing.

I'm not trying to be cynical about it, but this isn't marketed as an Early Access title normally is. The fact that it's retailing for $60 with a physical disc is mind boggling for an Early Access title.

If you follow the developers, if you read articles, yes, you see that it's Early Access. I've played Early Access titles before... this doesn't feel like those.

It's not priced like Early Access usually is.
It's not sold like Early Access usually is.
It's not packaged as Early Access usually is.
The central gameplay is more finished than Early Access usually is.
The publisher is larger than the usual Early Access publisher.

The only thing that's like a usual Early Access title is that we're supposed to grin and bear it when they fuck up.

That doesn't fly when we're paying full retail cost for a free to play game.

u/StarfighterProx · 17 pointsr/DestinyTheGame

Just to clarify, all standalone editions of the game get this early access. This info is also showing on the base game, but not yet on the bundle. No telling whether or not it will be added to the bundle (here's hoping, though).

u/Desperate_Shark · 16 pointsr/PS4Deals

Although this is a good deal, it would be best to shop around.

Example: Amazon has KH3 for $19.99, $25 dollars cheaper.

u/swansonben · 16 pointsr/PS4

I know it gets a lot of hate outside of /r/DestinyTheGame

But you can get Destiny: The Collection for pretty cheap right now. I've played it for over 1500 hours since it first launched.

If you wait a bit, it's sure to drop in price even more!

The new game is coming out in September, but there is sure to be a good sized community still playing Destiny for the near future.

u/CharlieJimenez00 · 16 pointsr/GameDeals

For US, Amazon has a better deal for Prime members at $39.99 with free shipping:

Actually! The Story So Far contains 1.5 + 2.5 + 2.8

u/Oneireus · 14 pointsr/NoMansSkyTheGame

I think there are more options than people assume. It isn't "Delayed" or "Not Delayed," but it could be production issues for the PS4 physical version, which would require Sony to do SOMETHING since Steam would have a lock on the their date, and wouldn't be inclined to changing it, it could be that there's just some fuckery with Gamestop, and Sony/HG has no idea where it's coming from, and wants to work that out before issuing anything, or it's not delayed at all, and they just want to enjoy the huge pop in news they got for a few days, and they'll clear it all up (one way or another) come Monday.

Since EVERY retailer (Amazon... Best Buy... Steam...)but Gamestop hasn't had this information, and every retailer including Gamestop still has it as June 21st, there's really no reason to address these rumors.

u/legayredditmodditors · 13 pointsr/Diablo

$60? FUCK NO.

You can probably find it in most stores much cheaper. I don't play PS4, so I can't say how big it's pop is atm.

But no reason to spend $60 for a download.

Currently $50 on amazon for the disc, or $30 used. much more reasonable (it's currently $30 for pc - new)

The Last of Us Remastered - PlayStation 4 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JK00S0S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Kjl5xbYYSW12G

u/iWin4Prep · 13 pointsr/KingdomHearts

Is it worth it?
The answer is YES 95% of the time.
When is it NOT worth it? If you've played these games countless times and have the collection already on the PS3... or if you simply do not like the games.

What is it? It's 4 full, finalized, updated games and 2 other games that were converted into 'movies' essentially. This means you have about 300+ hours of gameplay here if you really want to get into everything. Not only that, it is EVERYTHING from the Kingdom Hearts series except the new 2.8 release and the future KH III release.

You get the full finalized version of Kingdom hearts 1 and kingdom hearts 2. You get re:com and the other game that I haven't got to yet.

I don't know why you are saying the price is $60. I get it at $35.00 on AMAZON: https://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Hearts-1-5-2-5-ReMIX-PlayStation/dp/B01M32FMUL/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1498326651&sr=1-1&keywords=Kingdom%2Bhearts%2Bps4&th=1

At $60 it's simply not the going price. Go find it for $40 or so.

Be assured that all bugs have been patched (well, the important ones).

u/Chouonsoku · 12 pointsr/PS4

Every Kingdom Hearts game will come to PS4 in 2017

On Amazon

And I'm spending $60 on 2.8. It includes Dream Drop Distance remastered, a playable prologue chapter to Kingdom Hearts 3 featuring Aqua and a very important cinematic.

These are the retailers that can get you beta access. Private retailers can not. Just pre-order the game for Beta access. Online retailers will send the code via email. In store such as Gamestop will print your code on your receipt. Once code is attained you will have to register with https://www.bungie.net/ and redeem your code!

I linked just the PS4 copies since that is what I preordered on, was gonna add the rest but thats quite a bit, anyway enjoy!

You are mistaken :)

I mod /r/consoledeals and have been keeping an eye on all game deals.

The Last of US Remastered (Digital Card) is for $22.99 at Amazon and $19.99 at Boxed Deal.

GTAV was being sold for $49.99 last week via eBay's antononline (Deal is over)

So if you need both games, go for the Amazon Bundle ;), if you need one game you should purchase this console.

To add some clarification about codes:

  • Pre-Order Code aka Beta Code: Bungie's code that marks your account as someone who can receive download codes.

  • Download Code: What we'll actually receive starting on the 23rd. We will receive three (3) download codes per platform we selected.

Download codes are platform-specific (i.e. PSN code, Xlive code) and can be given to anyone since they are not tied to an account. It's just like the codes you get off gift cards or in games for DLC. You can give them to anyone. The Bungie codes were just for Bungie to be able to know who to send to and what platform to send them for.

    Narrative Examples

  • Bob pre-ordered Destiny off Amazon.com. Bob received a 9-digit code in his email (Beta Code). Bob went to http://bungie.net/beta and redeemed this code on his Bungie account. Bob then logged in today and selected Xbox One (Global) as his region and platform. Bob will now receive 3 download codes on the 23rd that he can use and give to two (2) other friends on Xbox One.

    FAQ

    Q. When is the Destiny Beta?

The Destiny Beta will begin July 23rd for Xbox One and 360.

    Q. How do I get a Destiny Beta code?

To gain access to the Destiny Beta, you must pre-order a copy of Destiny from participating retailers, or find a code in the wild. Please don't beg for codes.

    Time and supplies are limited.

You can pre-order online and find information about participating retailers by visiting the website linked below.

    http://www.destinythegame.com/wheretobuy

    Q. Where do I redeem my Destiny Beta code?

Go to http://bungie.net/beta and follow the instructions on the page to reserve your spot in the Destiny Beta.

You will be required to log in with a valid Bungie.net account, verify your email address and age, and enter your Destiny Beta code.

Once you have redeemed your Beta code, your account will be approved for Beta access. At a later date, but prior to the Destiny Beta live date in 2014, you will be contacted via your email address, allowed to select your preferred console platform, and given a Destiny Beta download code.

If you do not receive an email, you will also be able to review your Beta status at any time in your Profile / Redeemed Codes. Link

    Q. I’ve already pre-ordered. Where can I locate my Destiny Beta code?
If you pre-ordered on October 1st, 2013 or later, the code is either printed on the receipt, on a flyer you should have received at time of purchase, or sent to you via email through a retail rewards program.

If you pre-ordered on or before September 31st, 2013, your pre-order retailer may have already emailed you your Destiny Beta code. If not, you should contact them directly to receive your code, assuming they are a participating retailer.

The code is 9 digits in the following format: XXX-XXX-XXX

    Q. My retailer isn’t participating in the Destiny Beta program. How can I get a Destiny Beta code?

You must pre-order from a participating retailer to gain access to the Destiny Beta.

    http://www.destinythegame.com/wheretobuy

    Q. Which console platforms can I choose from?

Destiny is officially available for pre-order on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The Beta will also support all four platforms. Your Destiny Beta Code will grant you access to one of these platforms.

You can now select your prefered platform on Bungie's website Your choice of platform for the Beta is not tied to the platform you have preordered, and you will be able to select your preferred platform prior to generating your Destiny Beta download code. You will receive 3 download codes for the platform you choose.

    Q. I own both a PlayStation and an Xbox. Can I claim multiple codes if I want to play the Destiny Beta on multiple console platforms?

Yes. You may claim as many as four Destiny Beta download codes – one for each supported console. Each will require a separate pre-order at a participating retailer.

    Q. I’ve waited 24 hours for a verification email and have not yet received an email from Bungie. What do I do?

Some email providers may block emails in an effort to reduce unwanted “spam” email. If your email inbox utilizes a spam or junk folder, please check it to determine whether or not your verification email has been inappropriately categorized.

You may also add the email address [email protected] to your email address book, and attempt to resent the verification email from the code redemption website.

    Q. I am getting the error “Too Many Failed Attempts. You may try again in 24 hours.” What do I do?

For your security, if too many incorrect codes have been entered your account will be locked from entering codes for 24 hours. This lock will be removed automatically after 24 hours after which you can enter codes again. Customer Service will not be able to remove this lock any earlier.

    Other questions

Q: Do you think it will be possible to pre-order Destiny, enter beta, then cancel the pre-order while keeping beta access?

Hypothetically you can but I would advise you not to do that. Doing so will make Bungie very sad, and cause you to be slingshotted into the sun.

Q: When will I receive my beta code from Amazon?

"Starting on October 3, 2013. All customers who pre-ordered Destiny before October 1, 2013 will also receive a beta access code."

Q: I already pre-ordered from GameStop/EB Games! How do I receive my code?

You can receive your code by visiting the location that you pre-ordered at, and asking them to print out your code.

It's $17.16, new for PS4, on Amazon right now. I picked it up last week.

They came out with the 'Foundation' update a couple month ago that essentially added a quick menu system that lets you quickly 'recharge' your tools, ship systems, shields, etc. by pressing down on the d-pad, you can build save points, signal boosters, and comm relays anywhere on a planet by pressing up, and if you find an abandoned base on a planet, you can build on to it and stuff. You can also purchase a large Frigate that acts as a mobile base/storage area that follows you to each system. You can hire aliens to work for you and maintain your bases and develop upgrades for you. I haven't done much with it yet, but I know it's all there and apparently working pretty good.

Your very first line shows that you, once again, haven't read (or understood, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here) any of my posts.

I'll repeat it one last time: The game is in retail for the price of a full game.

Here's some links from the US (where you presumably live based on what and how you're writing - correct me if I'm wrong here) in case you don't understand:

https://www.amazon.com/Fortnite-PlayStation-4/dp/B071WNVX56/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1502935703&sr=1-1&keywords=fortnite&th=1

That's $60 each and nowhere does it mention early access or that it's a F2P game based on microtransactions. You'll find the same in stores without any mention either. It's literally sold like a buy 2 play game.

> The Micro-transactions are not heavy. I have purchased zero llamas not included with the original buy in. I'm finishing Plankerton right now with zero issues. I'm 100+ hours into the game. Heavy microtransactions much more heavily gate you or stop progression. Basically all of the Zynga games are good examples of this. Pay to progress is real there. Here it's "pay to be stronger than what you need to actually be". So yeah, if you want to be as overpowered as possible you can pay. But if you just want to play the game it's not required at all.

You're arguing based on personal anecdotes that wildly vary from others players' experience (the sheer amount of hours you spent in the first two areas alone for example) and a strawman here. It's not about 'Hey, I can't progress my story quests any more.' (those are placeholder in canny valley anyway). It's about not being able to progress your account at some point unless you're spending money or waiting for daily rewards for weeks/months and not being able to make gameplay decisions because everything is gated behind RNG.

> The only real issue atm is that the transformation system is broken. It's too expensive. Fix that and add relatively plentiful commons/greens and the occassional rare drop in and 90% of the complaints melt away.

So basically change the whole system when it comes to how much and how targeted loot can be acquired? So you tell people to shut up and yet think this much is missing?

> And remember, the free to play standard for "earning what you want for free" (set by MOBA's) is 26+ hours per character and getting as high as 40+ for the more rare ones. Even if you cut that in half because you'll replace your hero once or twice that's 13 - 20 hours of grinding for a single hero. That's meeting today's free to play standards. It took me a full year of play and 800+ hours to get all heroes in HOTS. I can't really put Fortnite on that level lol. Even starting with only a rookie hero and crap gun it's plain it will take nothing even close to that to "beat" Fortnite by getting basically everything.

First off, there isn't a 'standard'. DotA2 has all content for free and you only pay for cosmetics. PoE has all content for free and you only pay for QoL and cosmetics (arguably some stash tabs are required at some point but then you're talking about a one-time purchase of less than a retail game sufficing for ever). LoL and Heroes require you to unlock heroes indeed but you can actually choose what you're unlocking, both games are competitive PvP games (so account 'unlock' progress isn't one of the main motivators as it is in PvE games like Fortnite) and both games gave you a lot of competitive free heroes to begin with last time I checked - you don't have any of that in Fortnite.

When it comes to the rate of acquiring stuff, I cannot really comment on that because I've had everything (aside from cosmetics obviously) unlocked in LoL and Heroes for ages and Fortnite's progress is pretty much a slot machine anyway. You're also making a crucial mistake here by extrapolating from your Fortnite experience so far because the game pretty much bathes you in Llamas and VBucks at the start and quickly (or, apparently in your case, not quite as quickly) dries down, especially since you're also still getting your buy-in Llamas at the start.

When it comes to microtransactions, there's also a huge difference that I already touched on previously. Just like with playing the game, other games allow you to spend money on things you actually want whereas in Fortnite you're merely paying to gamble (with really bad odds of actually getting what you want).

Oh, and I think you severely underestimate how many Llamas it would take to get everything in Fortnite, even excluding specific schematic rolls on items. I'm not going to do the maths here (mainly because I can't be bothered counting all the stuff and looking up previous posts on 'drop' rates) but just looking at the odds of getting a single legendary/mythic hero alone and considering that you cannot reroll duplicates, you're easily in the thousands (probably even low tends of thousands) of dollars worth of Llamas to be somewhat certain of having all.

> That's literally not how it works. Ironically, even if you are open and transparent and well priced it's nowhere near as successful as being deceptive, abusing psychology, and withholding most information.

> JC Penny proved this in SPADES. You should do a little research on that. The reason fair and honest pricing doesn't happen is, amusingly, US. We don't support it with our cash.

> Here's an article to start you on that research: http://www.nbcnews.com/technology/fair-square-pricing-thatll-never-work-jc-penney-we-being-794530 . The article is a bit biased, but like I said I expect you to do your research on this if you care about it.

Your article doesn't even mention the word 'transparent'. My point was never that companies are supposed to price things fairly (whatever that is supposed to be to begin with), it's that they're not being transparent in what they're actually selling you. Look at the links above and tell me they're transparent about selling early access to an unfinished F2P product. This is also true for the PS shop and to a lesser degree for their own shop which merely mentions it in a place most people won't even see, not in a place you have to look at when purchasing the game as you'd expect (akin to small-printed text at the back-side of a contract). They're also not transparent (there aren't any mentions to begin with) about the in-game purchases and what they actually provide before purchasing the game.

> HOTS is another good example. Originally they had clear direct dollar pricing on heroes and skins. Now it's a lootbox system for skins and hero prices have an intermediary currency. Why? Because the more you can mislead your customer the better. And the savvy ones that can figure it out ironically feel like they are clever and "beating the system" but the microtransactions are getting them too. Because the idea you are getting a deal makes you much more likely to spend even if it's not a good investment.

I'm sorry but that comparison is ridiculous.

In Fortnite, you spend money on points which you can only use to buy one of multiple boxes which contain random content. You don't even know which boxes actually exist, what they contain, what their normal pricing is, when and what their reduced pricing is, etc.

In Heroes of the Storm, you spend money on points which you can directly use to purchase any hero you want. Any hero is purchasable at any point in time and temporarily available bundles even give you discounts for items you already own.

You don't see a small difference here?

> I've done ALOT of research on microtransactions. I understand where you are coming from, but it's nowhere near the actual truth. I really wish you were correct, the reality is far more depressing than what you expressed.

Feel free to point to where what I'm saying is 'nowhere near the actual truth' because so far you've not provided any evidence for that whatsoever. I know there exist thousands of games where the primary design goal is to get as much money out of people's pockets as possible - that doesn't mean we as customers have to accept it as the norm as you're suggesting by trying to shut me down from posting about it.

The best FPS for your buck is definitely Destiny: the Taken King. PvE and PvP are both crazy enjoyable and replayable.

/r/destinythegame has one of the friendliest (if just a tad fanboy-ish) communities on Reddit, and has plenty of people (AKA sherpas) willing to help newcomers out. And you will need help with the 6-man raids, one of the most unique and rewarding experience in all of gaming.

It's also on sale!

TLDR: It's fun, it's friendly and active, and it's cheap. Get it meow! :-)

I watched an unpacking on the console games and I did see "early access" in the middle of the cover. wasn't really where I expected to see it, though.

I shouldn't have to do a deep investigation to know the game is Early Access. It should be right there on the front of the website just like it is on the loading screen. Might want to ask yourself "why didn't Epic just put it there to begin with".

https://www.amazon.com/Fortnite-PlayStation-4/dp/B071WNVX56?th=1 only mention of early access is in the review. the official description doesn't mention early access. Same for the XB1 description!

This is what I expect to see: http://i.imgur.com/h9Ga6JY.jpg I'd even be ok with a sticker on the cover so they can remove it when it's released!

The games you need are Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX (comes out in March) and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (already out). Next year, the series will finish with the release of Kingdom Hearts III.

To get the full story, you pretty much have to play every game. A couple of them aren't as important, but you'll still miss something if you skip them. The remixes only include the cut scenes for some games, which is enough if you just want the story.

Tell me which one of those was labeled as 'early access' when they hit the shelves.

And calm down there, buddy. That's a lot of assumptions you're making there. I don't want a refund, I never said I didn't like Fortnite. I don't care if a game is in early access or not.

You missed the entire point, I wasn't saying that all games that hit the shelves are finished and polished. I'm saying that they should be judged as such. In that regard, are games like BF4, ME:A, and AC:U failures on release? Absolutely. It's pretty disgusting to pay full-price for an unfinished/broken product. That's my argument with Fornite, we should be able to criticize it as a full game, because it's advertised as such on the physical copy and digital marketplaces. People who act like this is a legitimate 'early access' period are out of their minds.

$60 for console, no mention of early access. That's fine, if it's sold as such, then let it be judged as such.

u/Danuscript · 4 pointsr/PS4Deals

Some of these prices are not the best. If you bought 1.5+2.5 and 2.8 on PSN right now that's like 73 dollars. If you're open to physical, Amazon has the Story So Far (the exact same content in one box) for $30 right now:

Link

If you buy that, it will give you over 100+ hours to play and by then KH3 might have a better sale.

Ni No Kuni 2 and Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth are two other great games but again you'll find better deals physical (and they've had better digital discounts before).

u/adelope · 4 pointsr/PS3

On Amazon you can get the limited edition of the game for $130. Apparently, publishers have decided to increase the price of the collector editions of the game from below $100 to $130. On PSN, you get the digital perks (extra missions, etc) without the extra toys. hence the price tag.

IMHO I think this is just a rip-off. I pre-ordered the AC-IV collector edition for $60 from Amazon, a few days later, they increased the price to $130, so this is a recent decision to increase the price. Please do not support these tactics by purchasing or pre-ordering the limited or deluxe edition.

One thing that I think hurts this comparison is that the price on TLOU launched high, but if you didn't want to pay that much you could simply wait a little while and get it cheaper. With a little patience you'd be all set to get it at a price you deem fair. That strategy doesn't work with many Nintendo games. Actually, TLOU: Remastered and MK8 both launched near each other. I wonder what their price history looks like...

TLOU: Remastered Amazon price history

MK8 Amazon price history

You can see a pretty stark difference. TLOU got as low as $10 and MK8 only ever got down to $42. TLOU was also frequently at $30 or less. That doesn't even cover the much more frequent Playstation digital sales.

And I remember paying $50 for TLOU Remastered at launch.

Thus to "just play this one game" (his words) it would cost $250 for the PS4 (and that includes Uncharted 4 bundled in!) + $60 for HZD, for a total of $310 + tax. Not exactly $600.

I don't have the PS4 version or a PS4, but I think PS4 is the way to go. I have it on PC and tons of people are having various problems with it. Mine at least runs somewhat stable, but I have to play it on a low-ish resolution (like 720p ish) with almost no processing to get a decent framerate. It still looks pretty, but my PC/graphics card should be able to do much better.

I also don't know if there have been major patches or if there will be patches.

Furthermore, it's on sale for PS4 on Amazon for $45, whereas I think the PC version is still $60. Also, even if you played it on PC, controller would still be the way to go.

If you can wait until march, you can pick up this which has everything but Dream Drop Distance (available in this package along with a brief story taking place after Birth by Sleep).

u/ProjectDestati · 3 pointsr/KingdomHearts

The 1.5/ 2.5/ 2.8 games are compilation stories with additional content and gameplay enhancements

If you want to get caught up with the story, there's a 1.5+2.5 collection bundle coming out in March for the PS4. It contains 4 games and two movies. After that, you just need KH2.8 (releasing in 8 days) which contains 2 games and a movie for the PS4. These two purchases contain all 9 stories in the Kingdom Hearts saga for you to enjoy as part of Nomura's promise on having all the games on one console. After that, you'll be completely ready for KH3.

Preferred playorder is the release order (playing all games in 1.5, then 2.5, then 2.8 is totally fine), but you may find it extra fun to go through them like this:

  • Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (From KH1.5),
  • Re: Chain of Memories (KH1.5),
  • Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (From KH2.5),
  • 358/2 Days (KH1.5),
  • Birth By Sleep Final Mix (KH2.5),
  • Re: Coded (KH2.5),

You really won't. KH3's is built on top of a solid 7+ games. The game does it's best to recap things, but I don't imagine it'd work if you have no knowledge of the series at all. Is it possible? Yes. Will you be very confused though? Yes.

If you pick up KH3, I'd recommend you also pick up The Story So Far. The PS4 version of the game is only $25 on Amazon, so you'd be getting pretty much the entire KH series for less than $50, which is a steal.

More than that, you'd be able to play the entire series and best understand KH3.

If you're interested, see if there's a Trial available on your console, and if you're willing to take the risk, [Destiny The Collection] (https://www.amazon.com/Destiny-Collection-PlayStation-4-Standard/dp/B01K63R7HY) releases September 20 and will get you all the content, including the newest expansion.

u/petemikeonline · 2 pointsr/AskGames

Thank you for the feedback! As far as I know, the Destiny Collection will also include The Rise of Iron DLC bundled in,(https://www.amazon.com/Destiny-Collection-PlayStation-4-Standard/dp/B01K63R7HY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474046056&sr=8-1&keywords=destiny+collection+ps4) so I won't have to pay $90, only $60. And I really enjoy RPGs so this may be the move.

u/dsebulsk · 2 pointsr/NoMansSkyTheGame

Well the upcoming DLC is worth $30 alone. But there is this collector's edition that has everything including the upcoming DLC for $60.

The Taken King was worth the original $60 price in my opinion (it had an actual story and the April update made the grind negligible!). Year 1 Destiny absolutely did NOT earn it's price.

Year 1 Destiny had a bunch of problems, but you have to hand it to Bungie because they listened to our feedback and improved the game drastically to answer that feedback.

$60 for Y1+Y2+Y3 Destiny is a great deal, considering it is technically a $190 value.

The only problem is you'll have a hard time catching up since the whole community will be focusing on Rise of Iron. But there will be new players you can find.

u/badmagnet · 2 pointsr/DestinyTheGame

It's $60 on PSN unless you're not in the United States.

If you're fine with getting another disc and are in the US:

Destiny The Collection

u/Intelligensaur · 2 pointsr/truegaming

You can get a more current and accurate answer on what the game would be like for a new, DLC-less player by asking r/DestinyTheGame.

But if you already have the game in hand, it seems like you'd be better served giving it a try and seeing if you even enjoy it before starting to consider whether or not to buy all the DLC (which you can probably do cheapest by buying the collection.

u/Masenkoe · 2 pointsr/patientgamers

their next re-release is PS4 only so they may still be escaping you.

u/-bananabread- · 2 pointsr/PS4

Get Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 when it comes out at the end of march for PS4. It has the two main games (Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2) which are what you'll want to play.

Sure, there a bunch of other games included that you could play in chronological order, but really you're there for KH1 and KH2.

Then if you've played through all of that, you can get 2.8 to tide you over before KH3 comes out.

u/photohooligan · 2 pointsr/anime

Yes they are! You can just buy 1.5+2.5 and 2.8 and you'll be all set for KH3! Welcome to the complicated world of Kingdom Hearts and numbers.

u/smashybro · 2 pointsr/gaming

Yup, but it's only two games since 1.5 and 2.5 are a combined collection for the PS4.

u/BarelyOriginal · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

get a PS4, the 1.5+2.5 remix here it contains the two main games and ALL of the side games

u/Sipricy · 2 pointsr/KingdomHearts

There have been a lot of Kingdom Hearts games that have come out since Kingdom Hearts 1 came out in 2002. There's been the first game, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts Coded, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A fragmentary passage.

The collections are the newest versions of these games. Kingdom Hearts 1.5, Kingdom Hearts 2.5, and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 are the collections. Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 is just both of those two collections on a single disc, but made for the PS4 rather than the PS3.

The cheapest way to get these games is either to get 1.5+2.5 and 2.8 used, or to buy The Story So Far, which is a digital version of all of the collections, which include all of the games so far. It's only $40, and you get six games and three movies (358/2 Days, Re:Coded, and X: Back Cover are all movies). All in One is exactly like The Story So Far, but also includes Kingdom Hearts 3. It's $100, so you don't save any money by getting All in One rather than The Story So Far.

My whole point being that you shouldn't pay more than $40 USD for all of the games prior to Kingdom Hearts 3.

u/jaggedspoon · 2 pointsr/gaming

From the PS4 I think he wanted one of the newer Kingdom Hearts games. This or this. Also you just look up Arduino or rasperry pi kits and there's usually some game kind of deal.
Also here's some PS4 stuff. 1 or 2. If you do two check the sellers for best ratings and stuff. But 1 seems the way to go because of the game. Also if you do just end up getting him a PS4 no game get the kid kingdom hearts remaster (not the 2.8).
But if you go aruino go with this and this and this. Those three are cheaper than the PS4 and he'll learn more.
Also all this is from the perspective of a guy who's had to buy his own games and stuff.

u/VagrantSorrow · 2 pointsr/FORTnITE

Paid early access with multiple bundle upgrades and a fully fledged out cash shop. The Xbox and PS4 versions already have box copies for sale that don't even mention early access in the advertizement.

u/Ikkinthekitsune · 2 pointsr/FFXV

Another thing to keep in mind with KH: the best way to get into the series is The Story So Far, which includes HD remasters of everything up to KHIII and costs ~$34 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Kingdom-Hearts-Story-So-Far-PlayStation/dp/B07J2KVXY3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=kingdom+hearts+the+story+so+far&qid=1562252292&s=gateway&sprefix=kingdom&sr=8-1). It's PS4 exclusive, though.

u/Moonshatter89 · 2 pointsr/gamereviews

If story is important to you, you will be absolutely lost. If understanding plot is vital to your enjoyment, I can't recommend it. You definitely need to play the other games first for any of the emotional payoff to mean anything.

The 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 collections are an amazing value and could offer a couple hundred hours of value if you find yourself doing optional content. The Story So Far has all of that in one package (if you can find a copy) for about $40. It's fantastic.

u/denpanosekai · 2 pointsr/VideoGameDealsCanada

  • Hopefully AC2 being free this month sparks an obsession with the series!
  • Once Tomb Raider drops around the $15 range, I'll be sure to grab it, haha.
  • How much is the full series for the Walking Dead?
  • Destiny is for both!
  • I'll heed your warning on Dead Island... the $15 price tag including DLC is tempting, though.

u/TravelerHD · 2 pointsr/DestinyTheGame

If you're looking for digital code, buy Destiny: The Collection. It has all of the past games and DLC, and will include the upcoming DLC that releases on the 20th.

If you're looking for a cheaper way to get a feel for the game, you'll have to get a physical copy. You should be able to get one off Amazon for less than $10. That will give you a very limited experience though, so I wouldn't really suggest it unless you're highly skeptical and have the money to buy this plus spend another $60 (if you like it and want to buy Destiny The Collection).

There used to be a free demo, but I can't find that one the store. If you find it, that will let you play the first six missions or so.

u/zimm3rmann · 2 pointsr/PS4

That was because they were unsure. Games should be $60. You can Preorder watch dogs for $60 plus some other games.

u/CaspianX2 · 2 pointsr/gaming

If this is true, then we'd see PC games release at lower prices than console games, and get bigger price drops across the board and not just on Steam. After all, the PC is a platform with virtually zero used game sales.

However, as it happens, prices are fairly consistent across all platforms, both for new releases as well as older titles.

Can people please stop comparing shit to Steam? Steam is not a games platform, it is an optional service running on a games platform, competing with other services. And as it happens, one of those services, Games for Windows Live, doesn't exactly have a good reputation. This would be the service run by Microsoft, of course.

If people are so eager to compare Xbox One to a PC game digital platform, why don't they compare it to GfWL? Oh, that's right, because it sucks and doesn't help their argument.

For PC: To start playing you need just A Realm Reborn, which will grant you all content from 1-50 including the 2 years of patch content before Heavensward released. The only thing you will be missing out on is creating an Au Ra character that you can start the game as from level 1.
Then you need Heavensward, which grants access to the 50-60 content, with the new land (6 zones), 3 new jobs and the 2 years of Heavensward patch content. It also lets you either make an Au Ra character, or change your character's race to an Au Ra.
There is also a bundle where you may buy both the base game and the expansion together, but there is no bundle with Collector's Edition goodies.
You will need both collector's editions if you want all the digital goodies, or you can buy upgrades to both editions in order to get them, whenever you choose to.
On Steam it looks exactly the same. The only downside is that you are bound to buy everything on Steam and the box edition codes will not work with Steam. This makes it hard if you wish to have the physical collector's editions as their codes will not work with the Steam version and you would need to buy the collector's box and the Steam upgrade for Stormblood, for example.
For PS4:
It's the same as on PC, except the digital PSN codes and the box editions codes can be mixed and matched without issues.

It's actually not on sale anymore. You could get the game + heavensward for $20 in the black friday sale.

It's just $30 because it's a physical copy and they want to get rid of stock. It's also $30 for PC physical for example but $60 digital.

The same bundle costs $26 at amazon btw. I bought it at that price like a month ago so it should stick around til the end of the month.

u/aumanon · 2 pointsr/GameDeals

I first want to note that Heavensward is an expansion pack, and you'll need the base game (A Realm Reborn) in order to play it. There is a bundle available, but it does not include the collector's edition of either game.

You must purchase the game for each platform you want to play on because you must register each version with your game account. Once you've registered the version, you can use the same character(s) across all registered platforms.

However, you can only play the content that is registered to the platform you're playing on. So, if you have the base game and expansion on PS4, but only have the base game on PC, you won't be able to access the expansion pack content on PC. It becomes even more problematic when you log out in an Heavensward area on one platform, because you won't be able to log into your character on a platform that does not have HW registered to your account.

Also, things like macros and settings do not carryover between clients. All that means is that if you customize your settings, you'll have to do it again for each version you play on. There is a feature to migrate settings between the PS3 and PS4 versions, though.

It's worth noting that the NA Playstation Store has the base game for PS4 on sale for $10 and the Collector's Edition for $20. Heavensward is not included, but this will get you started for pretty cheap to see if you like it. You can't get into Heavensward content until you complete the main story quests, which require you to be level 50, so you have some time before you need to worry about that.

Also, if you get the standard edition now, SE sells a "digital upgrade" for $60, which will net you all the extra bonuses of the collector's edition for both ARR and HW. You need only one version of the collector's edition per game to get the goodies, which are all just vanity items.

Hope this helps.

Buy it second hand. I can buy it for about £20 locally at the moment. It keeps you hooked, yes, as long as you let yourself enjoy it and not enter into the game with a preconceived notion of playing it with a critical eye. Just enjoy the moment to moment gameplay. I'd suggest Survival right off the bat, if you have patience and understand something that seems impossible becomes second nature after a while. Sounds like the child here is you. Listen you seem to not understand video game industry is a business, the developers cannot make new games or sequels if they don't make money. There's plenty of ways to get games cheaper while supporting the developers. Ebay, Amazon and in some cases flash deals on PSN. It's good to save money on spending for games but the reality is video gaming is an expensive hobby but also a two way street to support the developers and future of gaming. The adult thing to do is to understand this and to find a happy medium between the two like spend less money while still supporting them.

Now amazon has it for 12.49 for the base game from one seller, but there's supposedly a complete edition for 30 dollars from one seller, but it seems it doesn't exist in most places. There's a gold edition digitally with the season pass and stuff(like the complete edition) for $49.99 add that to a flash deal for $15 i'd get it in a heartbeat and i still support the devs. I need to give back to the developers since they work hard on the game, trying to cut corners and only buy it used that only goes to companies like gamestop I refuse to support there trade in system makes it harder to support the devs and easier to support gamestop scummy business tactics.

A Realm Reborn is the base game (whch also includes 30 free days, forgot to mention that). There's only one expansion so far: Heavensward (with a new one called Stormblood that's coming out in June).

Just on Amazon, I'm seeing the bundle for $23.98 for PS4 when the two separate are $28.38 and $13.77 (though normally it's $40 and $20).

If I were to buy it used, should I be worried about everything being "redeemed," or is it all on the disc?

u/Toraxa · 1 pointr/ffxiv

If you're in the US then the Amazon sale for ARR is here. They also have a combo pack for sale as a boxed edition here for a combined $30 for both the game and the expansion, which is a pretty solid savings. Unfortunately at the time of my posting it's out of stock. You could buy it to lock in the price if you have some trial time left and are willing to spend the time to save the money.

You should be able to log into the mogstation here with your existing account on the trial and add the key from your purchase. That'll activate your current account and give you 30 days of game time. However it'll also cut off any trial time you have left.

u/Latase · 1 pointr/ffxiv

You need fresh codes, also there is a bundle called "FFXIV online"
https://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-XIV-Online-playstation-4/dp/B00UO4NKA4?th=1

u/jacquesbquick · 1 pointr/ffxiv

at minimum you need to buy the ps4 version of XIV: A Realm Reborn and register your account with SE and on the Mogstation which is where your XIV account will be managed. You may also consider buying the combined version of A Realm Reborn and the expansion Heavensward (http://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-XIV-Online-playstation-4/dp/B00UO4NKA4/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1459194964&sr=1-3&keywords=final+fantasy+xiv)

HW is the only expansion to consider, other updates you may see being talked about are one of the major patches the game receives ever 3-4 months. Just buying the base game (ARR) allows you to get to level 50 and experience all content released PRIOR to HW. you MUST have HW to level past 50 or access Ishgard and the three jobs Machinist, Dark Knight and Astrologian as well as select the Au Ra race.

u/Bearly_Dead · 1 pointr/PS4

I think it's this.

u/Chained_Icarus · 1 pointr/ffxiv

But they did. They now just have a "starter edition" that doesn't include HW since SB became available to buy but the default base game boxes include it now.

They probably just also rolled it into SB for ease of upgrading.

Alright I am very new to the game and have a few questions about the steam vs amazon way of buying it.

So first, I downloaded the demo from steam, and the launcher through there as well and also think I made an account through there.

After that, I played a bit enjoyed the game and decided to buy it through amazon. this is the specific one I bought However, when I try and transfer my account it says that "The code I entered cannot be used with a steam free trial account" and asks me to purchase a copy of the game.

My primary confusion is do I have to buy another thing or make a new account? I do not know what steps to take from here unfortunately

u/dblue236 · 1 pointr/Wishlist

I'd love to give this one a try! I was really excited about another game kind of like this, Little Nightmares, when I first got my PS4, but it turned out to be too intense for me. This one seems like it might be a little less creepy, but a similar concept. I like games that I can just relax while I'm playing, and this seems like it might be good for that!

This is technically a collection of three games, but it's HANDS DOWN my favorite thing I've played since I got my PS4. I've played through all three of them and just started the fourth today. I love that it has so many different aspects to it- logic, puzzles, shooter, all in one!

Thanks for the contest!

This. Buy the "Legendary Edition" (Amazon link, for cover reference) since it includes both the base game (with expansions) and the Taken King expansion.

u/Storb · 1 pointr/DestinyTheGame

Very doubtful honestly. I've been keeping a close eye on sales for Destiny 2's DLC and it's never happened. Either the base game is the only one that goes on sale, or sites with voucher codes (e.g. GreenManGaming always excluide Destiny 2's DLC as an option for using the discount.

There could potentially be a sale on the season pass as we approach the September expansion? Maybe? It's more likely that they'll put a new version of Destiny 2 on sale in December which has the base game, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and the September expansion all bundled into one (much like the Legendary edition of Destiny: The Taken King and Destiny: The Collection) I honestly don't know though.

Also, you double-posted your comment.

I bought this for my brother. It was $29.99 December 14th only. Now I can finally get all that Refer-A-Friend shit. I'm pretty stoked to start all over with him.

u/epibole · 1 pointr/DestinyTheGame

Sorry if this isn't the sort of question intended for this thread, but I've searched and searched and haven't been able to find an answer.

My friend and I own the original Destiny game as well as the first two expansions. We haven't played for months, but are interested in coming back now to check out the new content in The Taken King. It looks like the cheapest way of acquiring TKK would be to buy the physical legendary edition (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZJ20YQO/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza) which is $35, but this has a lot of duplicate content for us. I'm just wondering if there are any issues upgrading to TKK going this route. Will all of our save data (characters, weapons, etc.) remain intact if we essentially re-buy everything that came before TKK?

It seems crazy that the standalone digital upgrade for TKK is $40 and this entire legendary package is only $35, but if this is viable path to getting the expansion, then we'll happily save the $5.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I could preorder on Steam, pre-download it, play it on release, then if I like it, refund it and buy it cheaper for $40. Seems easier/quicker than renting and then waiting a couple of weeks when it's cheaper, then having to wait for them to deliver, and probably pay for delivery depending on your location.

Plus it doesn't seem to be the case that Amazon always have games at $40 within a few weeks of release. Here's some examples:

Infinite Warfare is $55 on PS4 vs $30 on PC

Battlefield 1 is $51.75 on PS4 vs $46 on PC

Overwatch Origins Edition is $60 on PS4 vs $40 on PC

  1. Not sure how you would do that. There is an Amazon link but since it's supposedly an NA release it might not be available in the U.K. You would have to go to someone else, PM someone to arrange a purchase and shipping of the game to you, or look up an alternative store.

  2. Regular version is $50 for the PS3, $60 for the PS4 on Amazon.

  3. Presumably, yes. I can't imagine why.

  4. The trend for the past Persona games has been that Atlus releases it in the EU a quarter to a third of a year after the NA release. I would expect an EU release of Persona 5 somewhere in June of next year. If you can't wait several more months for it, just import it.

  5. Apparently the PS4 is not region-locked, nor does it require games to be region-locked, so I'd say that that is highly unlikely.

  6. Presumably, yes; however I don't know what their plan is regarding DLC, as DLC is a new venture for the recent Persona games (Persona 3 and 4 had FES, P3P, and Golden, but those were more like second edition releases rather than DLCs).

It's 40 dollars for the physical version, 60 for digital a code. maybe you can find a better price used? also, it's a lot of content for 60 bucks, and the digital version means you don't have to keep the disc in the system, which is nice if/when you become obsessed with the game.

the newest expansion by itself is 30 dollars, so it really doesn't seem that bad to pay 40 for the entire game, or 60 for the digital version.

u/antsugi · 1 pointr/gaming

It's 29.99 for PS4 and 28.90 for XBone right now (Includes base game + All DLC). Seriously, it's well worth the $30, just try it out.

u/arcticfox23 · 1 pointr/patientgamers

Hey /u/spirit32, I've been playing Destiny since the alpha and I've only just recently been comfortable recommending it to friends. Destiny, the base game, is a trial, you won't feel too satisfied with it. I, personally, consider Destiny: The Taken King as the "base" version of Destiny.

Prior to its release, it really really irked me knowing (but not confirmed) that there was a third subclass locked away behind a paywall. They not only introduced more story with TTK, but also fixed a lot of the way the game handles itself up to that point. (I'm sad you won't get to experience Destiny with Peter Dinklage).

I have Rise of Iron and, while its fun, idk if its a good buy. However, being familiar enough with Bungie, you'll be "punished" for not having it so I'd just go all in. If you can be a little more patient, I think black friday would net you a great deal to buy 2 copies of Destiny: The Complete Collection. Getting into Rise of Iron allows you both to play the best part (to me) of Destiny: The Iron Banner. Previous to ROI, the event was held in "the tower," now its held in a new social space that is exclusive to ROI.

At it's current price of $48, I think this is a fair price for all the content it brings with it (complete collection).

u/Daeayt · 1 pointr/KingdomHearts

u/H_Floyd · 1 pointr/JRPG

Wait--I thought you only need one bundle that collects all the essential stuff?

I've never gotten into the series, and am not particularly interested, but I will grab it once it hits a low price to see just how convoluted it all gets. Isn't this collection like six games? And it's pretty much all you need?

u/xpayday · 1 pointr/KingdomHearts

All you gotta do is buy this:

Once you have both of those games play through the first linked game and play through it in the exact order its presented as on the disc. Once you complete the disc all the way through play the second game in the exact same fashion. Once you complete that you're ready for KH3. On top of those you can also explore the mobile KH game but it's not required.
If you follow my instructions listed above you won't miss a beat about the KH franchise and will be completely ready for the newest game.

u/Stendal · 1 pointr/KingdomHearts

If you buy The Story So Far, you get every game that's not KH3 represented in some way. It's a pretty good value as you get five games, one smaller game/tech demo, and three movies.

If that's too much, just grab 1.5 + 2.5 Collection. This gives you four games and two movies, and contains KH1 and KH2.

If you're not working with a PS4, you'll need to buy 1.5 and 2.5 separately.

u/chhhyeahtone · 1 pointr/PS4

If you got a PS4, check it out. Great games(the main two at least)

u/BardicPaladin · 1 pointr/GameDeals

The price also recently dropped in the US, it's now $34.40. Not quite as good of a deal, but this is 4 games plus 2 games' worth of cinematics.

u/Scolexis · 1 pointr/FinalFantasy

It's also $39.99 at Amazon if you're a Prime member.

Edit:
Also, the remasters of KH 1.5/2.5 on PS4 are the same price.

Ah - I use Amazon's lowest price as I find it the quickest comparison tool - which had Mario Party at $40 loose, Second Son at $10 CiB, and KH $21 New.

I can understand lowering the value of Mario Party as you could probably find it cheaper elsewhere (Ebay, etc) to $28. I think since you can find KH new on amazon for $21 we can agree to do the same for that?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01M32FMUL/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1499444014&sr=1-1&keywords=kingdom+hearts+ps4

That would put my value at $28 and yours at $31. I can throw in a 360 game or DVD to balance the difference? Or straight $3 Paypal.

u/MoesBAR · 1 pointr/PS4Deals

In stock at Amazon, and it's still within the 2 week release date so if you have Prime, Amazon will take 20% off. I preordered mine and only paid $43 including tax.

If you don't have prime, it looks like they're already selling it used for $42.

As a Canadian looking to get the PC version I am not liking the exchange rate hit to buy direct. To bad it seems like only consoles have the retail/regional prices.

Though having just checked on Amazon the difference between console retail versions in the USD and CDN price looks like in line with the exchange rate my credit card would hit me with right now. Guess I am no worst off.

Otherwise if the PS4 and PC version really did share a license to play might of been worth getting the PS4 version even though I don't own one.

Not even amazon says early access or free to play anywhere other than user reviews. The physical box also has no mention anywhere as it is sold in brick and mortar stores. They are also full price since you cannot get the standard physically.

u/Gestrid · 1 pointr/KingdomHearts

It's just the two existing discs (1.5+2.5 and 2.8) in one box, so there won't be any changes like Japanese dubs being an option. There are currently no plans to release it outside the US.

Source: https://twitter.com/KINGDOMHEARTS/status/1048297666474475520

However, Amazon hasn't blocked it from shipping internationally to places outside the US. Here's the page to order it from.

Edit: Keep in mind that you may not be able to access any of the DLC (an added cutscene, a theater mode for KH1 cutscenes, and several PS4 themes) due to region-locking on the Playstation Store. The discs themselves are not region-locked, though, and will play in any PS4 console.

u/kuriatsu · 1 pointr/gaming

I'd suggest going for the kingdom hearts the story so far (minus 3) it's about 40$ usd, and has kh1 final mix, chain of memories re, kh2 final mix, recoded and 358/2 days "movies", birth by sleep, dream drop distance, kh2.8, and the hour long movie or so to hint at kh3 stuff. If you have never played a oh game this is a great set to get, but if you can find the 1.5+2.5 collection and 2.8 for cheaper, go for that as they are the same thing down to the bit from what I've heard.

Edit: you can also get a collection of all of them and kh3 on the psn for 100$ USD with kh1.5 and 2.5+ 2.8 as downloadable as of the purchase

Keep an eye out for deals. Right now it's running at 48$ on Amazon.

Otherwise, BF4 will give you tons to do and is quite cheap. Very active population on PS4 as well. Rainbow Six Siege is also quite active (though a bit janky) and you can get DLC for free, though I wouldn't call it a run n' gun game, it's very tactical and tense.

Destiny - The Taken King may be worth looking into. You either click with it, or you don't. And if you do click with it, you're in dozens and dozens of hours of work, thus making it a potentially great worth.

u/Wisecow · 0 pointsr/PS4

> The 20% off promotion expressly says it's based on the list price, and not the discounted price. The list price for Overwatch is $59.99, and 20% off would make it $47.99.

Actually, what makes this situation unique is Overwatch only shows "Price: $48.99" on Amazon and doesn't have a "List Price" displayed on the page. Games like Uncharted 4 show "List Price: $59.99", and then shows the discounted price.

With that being said it appears Amazon isn't offering a discount, that $48.99 is, in fact, the List Price they have for it. So it isn't stacking on the discounted price. The 20% off is coming off the only Price listed on the page, since it doesn't show a regular list price of anything different.

I had no issues getting an adjustment using this logic with an Amazon rep yesterday.

I don't disagree that YMMV, but there is an argument to be had here that doesn't fall outside of Amazon's policy. Amazon has superb customer service, in my experience, and will often air on the side of the customer if it's something questionable, such as this.

u/nutsack12 · 0 pointsr/PS4Deals

>Because Fortnite is doing something doesn't make it right. And it doesn't give someone else a pass to do that.

And yet Fortnite is praised for their set up and defends how it works against every criticism. And their peak they were literally making millions a day off the sales of skins.

>Rockstar released a complete single player GTAV and RD2 - and all the singleplayer content is in the MP games right from the start.

No they don't there was literally jack shit to do in GTA Online on release in free roam besides kill players and rob stores. Literally all the content at the time was contact missions, races and death matches which took place in lobbies and not free roam. RDR2 Online had all of Rockstar's history of GTA online to pull from as well as previous RDR online and still a massive multi billion dollar company did nothing but copy and past a few basic fetch quests and hunting and fishing into online mode. Then they spent the next what 4 or 5 months in beta for RDR2 so they could validate all the rebalancing because they some how thought an hour of work to earn .15 was a good thing when a good gun costs $10.00.

The only thing single player and multiplayer shares between them is game assets. Which incidentally people complained about Bethesda just flipping game assets from FO4 and giving players an empty unfinished (in their words) game.

Yes it does it is a horde mode game system. The BR game mode was a last minute addition by Epic based off the growing popularity of games like PUBG. And much like how Rockstar they dropped the single player game in favor of the money maker. Because when GTA 5 was released rockstar said they would release updates for online and story mode. At least until online showed to be more of a cash cow and dropped all story mode updates for the game to focus exclusively on online updates.

>RD2 and GTAV you are paying for SP content and then getting a free MP mode.

Then why isn't it a separate free to download game? Shit Lost and the Damned was originally DLC for GTA 4 and yet they released that as a stand alone game.
