i know this doesn't solve the reason it's not on the controller, but i bought this and it works really well https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4W40VC/
Check this one out. I haven't bought it but going to pretty soon.

My suggestion stands, some adapters support two headphones at the same time.
This is the one I bought and it supports two.

Links for the Lazy:
Get yousrself one of these (or similar):
20hr battery life, and get a airplane audio adapter for like $2 and you're set.
Off the top of my head,
Cheap: MEE Audio Air-Fi Matrix 2, $59, aptX support for far better Bluetooth listening than non aptX cans
Not so cheap but quality: Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless, usually $200 but showing as $300 right now? Also supports aptX.
There lots of brands that offer good Bluetooth cans. ATH, Vmoda, sennheiser, AKG, etc.
Now, Bose does have some models that are decent, like the QC35, but they're the exception now a days. It's a real bummer too, I used to buy a ton of Bose stuff. And too bad the market is pretty saturated with mostly fashion cans for Bluetooth. You pay a lot for being pretty.

This is what I found after looking through suggestions on /r/audiophile
So I haven't tested this, but I THINK this should actually work for what you want. It does require you buying extra stuff though, and it's certainly not the most cost effective thing in the world either.
First off, you need to buy a 2-way headphone splitter. Plug the male end into the audio out on your Dot. Then buy two bluetooth transmitters that plug into audio ports (like this one or this one).
Those transmitters I linked are able to stream to two bluetooth receivers at once, meaning you can stream to all three of your speakers (and potentially upgrade to four later) just using two transmitters.
Then it's just a matter of pairing the transmitters with your speakers. Theoretically, Alexa should start playing through all of them at the same time if you set it up right. Again, not the most cost effective thing in the world, but it should work, assuming you're using the speakers within range of the transmitters anyways. The transmitters need electricity, so there will be wires regardless though. Sadly not much you can do about that as far as I'm aware.
This was my solution

There are Bluetooth transmitters that he can hook up to that speaker jack (I just bought one for my mother's TV), but they need to be powered. Here's the one I bought. It's
big but probably stilleasily small enough to fit on a motorcycle.https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Audikast-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones/dp/B077MXFJGQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=EE7IX7OEDVOI&keywords=audikast+bluetooth+transmitter+for+tv&qid=1557076940&s=electronics&sprefix=audikast%2Cmobile%2C237&sr=1-3
This particular device gets its power via USB, and it looks like this thing can be hooked to his battery:

Good luck!
I have tried 3-5 so far and their incredibly frustrating. Trying to get them to connect without spending 5 mins doing to so is just such a waste of time and frustrating.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Sony
Tao
Layen
and a few others...
I wanted the same thing for my subway ride. I tried to use a BT transmitter but it wasn't reliable. I'd have to re-pair my headphones every time. It's ridiculous that the Switch doesn't support something so basic as BT.
Take a look at Gulikit Route+ Pro Support in-Game Voice Chat aptX
Also Nintendo Life also did a quick review on them.

Here's the one I've been using for a couple years now, no complaints...

The only option to go wireless will occupy your c-port always.
A qi receiver is attached (under a case) to allow charging on a qi charging mat.
This means no headphones or aux unless you have the HD Audio accessory.
If you don't care about wired sound, you can connect to other things via Bluetooth.
Here's a link to some hardware:

I use the optical out on a Sonos Connect attached to a Bluetooth transmitter to listen on my Bluetooth headphones. It's fine for music, where the delay doesn't matter, but don't expect to be able to use it for tv/video, as the audio will be way out of sync. It works great. This is the transmitter that I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NIOOH2/
Also, having the Connect has allowed me to rig up a turntable to play across the Sonos system. Works like a charm.
This is a good BT transmitter/receiver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC/ that I've been using for quite a while. Has its own internal battery too.
RPi is an inexpensive powerful DIY computer (super easy to build) that can be used to make almost anything. Search for "Raspberry Pi Projects" and "Arduino" to get an overview. You can make breadboard circuits and write code to control them, etc. Kits have audio, video, mic, lights, and all kinds of other neat abilities. It's great for intelligent, creative kids (and adults).
With a Pi, you could control the lights in your house to come on when you say a specific word. You can hook up a Pi to interface with your car's computer and make it display detailed data from it. You can turn a Pi into a retro gaming console. You could use it as a media center, accessible from all your TVs. You could turn it into an instrument of you wanted to. Really, it's limitless.
i use this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076HRHT7Y/
also *very* happy with it.
powered by the tv's on/off, no noticeable latency (i even use it with gaming), basically instant boot up & connect, pretty great.
i would say if you're going to be swapping devices all the time the 'single button interface' is a bit goofy. various holds, and multiple taps, to enter pairing mode, connect, deconnect, and reset the dongle (if you want to unpair everything). mostly i have it set up exactly like i like it, and i rarely have the tv active while i'm also using my bt headset with anything else, so i just leave it in auto-connect. fwiw, i also haven't tested the dual output support.

--

while having bt audio from the cc or casting device routing audio separately (synced) would be great (not needing yet more hardware), having bt support on the tv itself means you can use it with non-cast content as well. so that seems like a decent trade, and it's easier to keep in sync with the video...

i would also say i prefer the BT transport to generic RF based 'tv headsets', since you get choice & reuse of your headphones, and won't be SOL when the headset/battery wears out in a couple years.
I'm using a KOKKIA i10s with my iPod Classic 7G and AirPods. It costs $60, but its really worth it! https://www.amazon.com/KOKKIA-i10s-Black-Bluetooth-Transmitter/dp/B004SH40BQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1538599448&sr=8-3 Works with my bluetooth speaker as well.
Here it is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004SH40BQ
There's a picture of it in an iPod Nano on that page also. It stuck out about an inch or so? Maybe less? It wasn't too bad.
Normally I would not recommend these for car installations because they need to be charged and all of them I have used do not work while charging. Meaning you can't have a "permenant" installation because you would need to disconnect it from power before the unit will actually kick on.
But if you move in to and out of cars for work purposes then this will be really handy.
If you want a more permenant setup that uses Bluetooth, I have this and it works great:
https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-RFBTAUX-Universal-Bluetooth-Streaming/dp/B00I4WYXAO
Griffin also makes a similar one:
https://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Technology-BlueTrip-iPhone-Smartphones/dp/B004KPLS7K
If you'd prefer to have the lightning cable take care of the audio transmission, then preorder this one:
http://www.scosche.com/iphone-7-car-charger
I assume it has an auxiliary input. I used one of these in my CTS. Worked great for $25.
https://www.amazon.ca/Bluetooth-Receiver-Mpow-Streambot-Hands-Free/dp/B00QX0YR7I/ref=sr_1_2?crid=388SX4WK2GARB&keywords=auxillary+bluetooth&qid=1565212243&s=gateway&sprefix=Auxillary+blue%2Caps%2C146&sr=8-2
We connect 4 Bluetooth headphones at the same time for a few of our tests. To do so, we use 2x https://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Universal-Headphone-Transmitter/dp/B016NIOOH2, and a Y splitter connected to a line out. Not the most user friendly solution but it works.
This is a several piece system you'd have to get.

First is an HDMI audio extractor then an BT transmitter and if you want to be able to switch between the Roku and the TV tuner you'd then need an HDMI switch.

At that point with all that in place, you honestly would be better off getting a receiver. You can get a cheap receiver, like the Denon S530BT from Accessories4less.com for $150 then pair that with some cheap speakers and you're already better than all that equipment above.
Zune's USB doesn't output audio, nor does it let you browse the file system. Or at least, it won't without the Zune software on PC, which means car stereos won't detect it.
Your best bet is maybe some kind of headphone jack to Bluetooth adapter like these
https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01EHSX28M/
https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Connected-Transmission/dp/B074QLB1Y7/
Just get an adapter like this.
As annoying as the floppy dongle would be, the 3.5mm solution is the most reliable one out there.
There are some models that, while they still stick out like a sore thumb, try to keep the package as compact as possible. Hereโs one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IQYC4R4/ref=psdcmw_9926003011_t1_B01KXIKCSI
This one has mostly positive reviews: https://www.amazon.com/KOKKIA-i10s-Black-Bluetooth-Transmitter/dp/B004SH40BQ/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_23_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=50TFZDWSC8SFYH43CC3B
This one supports aptX if you have compatible Bluetooth headphones: https://www.amazon.com/KOKKIA-Luxurious-Transmitter-authentication-receivers/dp/B008PWN0I4/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_107_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=K15NQ502M06MZ4H9Y23F
Cheap bluetooth pairs is just asking for disaster. Can you stretch your budget to accommodate these? The <$50 bluetooth market is filled with junk and unreliable batteries.
MEE Matrix2 Bluetooth Headphones $38.99 for the next 4 hours. I have it in my cart and have to decide in 8 minutes. What do you think about these headphones for this price?
Edit: I pulled the trigger.
Here is what it would look like. You could crop it down to a square like the native Quest screen recorder does.
It is using scrcpy which can be downloaded from here. Make sure to use the adb included with the download as it will receive an error with newer versions of adb.
This video goes over the process of setting it up very well.
To get wireless audio I use two of these. I already had those devices but I have been tempted to buy these ones because they look smaller and easier to use. Pairing sometimes does not like to work with the other ones.
Edit: My video has bad quality because I was using a extremely low bitrate because I have never had a reason to upgrade my wireless until I got a Quest and want to play StreamVR games on my Quest. So I am in the process of upgrading to a 5Ghz wireless.
I'm using an Mpow on the HP50. I also have a Fiio BTR3 which I use for iems. If you have a bigger budget then you could also go for the Earstudio ES100.
Bluetooth doesn't work that way, the fire tv would need two separate BT radios for that to work. The best you'll get would likely be something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Technica-AT-PHA05BT-Bluetooth-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0065V9TXC
It's a BT headphone amp- so you'd set this up to be the BT "headphones" for the FTV, then use a headphone splitter to feed two pairs of wired headphones.
If you have a headphone out from your speaker system or TV (depending on how things are set up) you could go headphone out to one of these which has dual BT radios for 2 sets of BT headphones: https://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Universal-Headphone-Transmitter/dp/B016NIOOH2
Note: I have used none of these products, but they appear to be two examples of workarounds for your scenario. Best of luck!
Here's the one I use. It pairs with my AirPods when flying.
TROND Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver
I used these to velcro attach it to the Switch. I but a strip in half and place the soft side on the Switch.
Command Black Picture Hanging Strips
And I use a really short 3.5mm cables with right cable connectors on both ends. Forget where I got it, wasn't on Amazon at the time. A local electronics or music store might have something similar. Or use your Google fu.
If I were to get a USB-C connecting model I'd look at the HomeSpot Bluetooth Audio Transmitter Adapter. About the same total cost, and just one the piece with no setup required. But you can't listen and charge at the same time.
https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC
Some people have been using these. I got one and had to return it because it would go to sleep during quiet ambient sounds. Was quite jarring. But maybe I had a defective one.
Mine doesn't either. I bought this one last year and it works well. It supports apt-x which was the best you could do for quality and latency at the time.
It's just a pass through... you connect any 3.5mm connection (or configuration with adaptors) to it and then it allows headphones to connect to it via Bluetooth.
It just charges or stays connected to power and creates its own source to connect a Bluetooth device.
No USB. Standalone
Here it is
Bluetooth receiver or transmitter
No, its a closed system over Wifi, no analog inputs.
What is your current turntable? You can add a Bluetooth Transmitter to any turntable to stream to a single Echo speaker or a stereo system over Bluetooth. There is an adapter to transmit to 2 Bluetooth speakers however a set of 2 adapters for 4 speakers would be even more of a pairing mess.
However, a big part of vinyl is the analog sound and the Echo and especially the Dots are not very good speakers. You will be much better off with better pair of home audio bookshelf speakers and you can add a second set in another room. You can also hook up one of the Dots to the speakers to have better streaming audio sound.
Any of these systems can also be added to the Dots for better sound in other rooms.
Lowest budget $50 6-1/2" 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker Pair and Hi-Fi Mini Amplifier Bundle. Add a RCA switch $11 to add a Dot with the turntable and speakers.

For me the best way to deal with no headphone jack has been this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IV1H1ME
It's small, about the size of 4 quarters. I just keep it in my car and it's always with me.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_iuQUBb0BX81F4
Hereโs one that does both
I believe something like this should work.
Unfortunately no.
However, if you want to send audio from your TV to your Bluetooth headphones, you can use one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Connected-Transmission/dp/B074QLB1Y7/
Does your monitor have an audio-out jack? Many of them do.
If so, you could likely plug a Bluetooth transmitter into the jack, to turn the audio output into a Bluetooth signal that a Bluetooth speaker could receive.
I'm not necessarily recommending that specific model, just using as an example, and you're going to want to do a little research on compatibility (not sure what - if any - limitations an Echo has as acting as a BT speaker).
But this is likely the way to go, assuming your monitor does have audio out, and that you're connecting the Roku to it via HDMI.
And, of course, there's nothing Roku-specific about this setup, so it would work for any device that sends both audio and video to that monitor.
I use the TaoTronics Bluetooth transmitter. They offer a lot of different versions of it, but this is the one I went with.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074QLB1Y7?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
There are exceptions! If both ends support "aptX low latency" technology, you can get the Bluetooth delay imperceptible. I've done this on my PC with these headphones:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07B4MP8TS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
And this transmitter:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B077MXFJGQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I have no idea if such a thing is possible on the Quest - I feel like at least a custom Bluetooth transmitter would be needed.
I have this one. Thereโs no charging pass through but it is the smallest profile for an adapter that I have ever seen.
If you look up a bluetooth transmitter, you'll be able to find what you are asking about. Instead of plugging it into the Atom's headphone jack, you'd be better off plugging into your DAC's output.
Ideally, you'd be looking for something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NQ87RVT/ref=emc_b_5_t
I've never used the one I linked but I'm just sending it as an example. You'll have to look around for different options.
The Guilikit Route+ is pretty good. 50 bucks on Amazon and works in both modes. Also supports voicechat
https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Connector-Compatible-Headphones/dp/B07HRM9RVC
If you look at the spec sheet Bluetooth codecs are in English so yeah itโs a Bluetooth dongle. If youโre looking for a good Bluetooth dongle I recommend this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WMPTF7V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LNHJDb7HH2HEZ
Just came out this month. Iโve used countless Bluetooth adapter for the switch and this is the best one for me. Here are the reasons.
Check the reviews it has on other sites; if they're mostly good reviews, then you might have received a faulty pair.
I went on Amazon and did a quick search, adding in a filter for only things with 4-star reviews and up. I see some seemingly-good Sony and Sennheiser ones for $60-$90. I wouldn't go for anything less than $40-$50 unless you really trust the brand or know for sure that it's good.
Alternatively, you could get something like this and plug it into your TV, and it'll let you use any set of wireless bluetooth headphones.
If I understand your situation maybe this would be an option in the output of your belt pack.
http://www.amazon.com/Miccus-Mini-jack-Transmitter-Headphones-Receivers/dp/B002HHLOWC
After many years of buying headsets I finally found the best setup that is so comfortable for extended play.
First you will need one of these splitters possibly. I also like this cord extender.
And buy following:
Now the range is not that great ~10 yards or so (trough a wall), I could probably get a better range with a different headset/transceiver combo but that's what I use, and it works fine for me (I do wish the range was a tad bit better).
When I step out to my kitchen (porch to smoke) to make me a drink I just put my bluetooth headset on. No hastles with battery because when I come back to my computer I just put my regular headsets on and plug in my bluetooth headset to charge.
Total cost $140. (including a $10 standalone microphone)
Who needs a new head unit? https://amzn.com/B002HHLOWC
And seriously? You're worried about audio quality in the car? Where your baseline is directly linked to speed?
I certainly didn't notice any difference. I wired in one of the receivers linked behind my old stereo and just forgot about it. Less wires on the dash. Less dinking with the plug being all clapped out in my factory head unit.
https://www.amazon.com/KOKKIA-Transmitter-authentication-capabilities-generation/dp/B004SH40BQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1550655700&sr=1-11&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65
Or
https://www.amazon.com/Baile-30-pin-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Classic/dp/B00X5LBYCO
Use the 30-pin instead of the remote port but they work.
I bought this one and it seems to work good so far (other than the issue with AirPod volume range mentioned in OP):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004SH40BQ
There are plenty more options available though if you do a search.
The following should work with their TV so that they can simultaneously use the TV speakers for him and the Toslink/RCA hookup for her. I won't give guarantee's but it should since it's at least a newer TV model since you mention it being a smart TV. So if you wanted to buy the bluetooth transmitter and test it it out with a bluetooth device/speaker you already own (if any) before going any further, you could do that.
I did a similar hookup for my SO's family for different reasons, and set them up with this bluetooth transmitter (it has aptX support too): https://amazon.com/HomeSpot-Wireless-Bluetooth-Transmitter-supported/dp/B00QV77YIC - There are other devices out there like this, this was a relatively cheap option for them and having never used it before, it worked and with no problems. I'll likely pick one up myself for future use too.
I didn't set them up with bluetooth (wireless) headphones but instead bluetooth speakers. But I'd highly recommend looking for bluetooth headphones that support the aptX codec (preferably with Low Latency) so the voices are in sync as much as possible if not perfect. I've seen the difference with and without it as well as it annoys more people without it and it's noticeable.
I'm not sure of your price range for the bluetooth headphones, but here are a few from Amazon that support aptX and SOME (not all) with Low Latency too:
Of course places like BestBuy, Fry's, Newegg and so forth have these devices as well so if you are looking to pick up something locally, you should be good there but MAY pay more. The same goes with similar bluetooth transmitters, just look for one with Toslink/SPDIF and/or with RCA as the one is above preferably with aptX LL codec support of course too.
Hope this helps or gives you a start.
Jaybird X3
MEE Audio Matrix 2
If you can stretch the budget another $80-ish then:
Sennheiser Urbanite XL
It's hard with wireless headphones because there just aren't many with good sound quality or many in general.
MEE Audio AirFi Matrix 2
I'd recommend this one over that
MEE audio Air-Fi Matrix2 Bluetooth Wireless
https://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B00DOP3NPW/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1505545985&sr=1-1&keywords=matrix2
Budget: rough 50 to 150 USD
Source: plugging it into my desktop
No isolation required
Not being used in public
preferred full sized
Preferred balanced
The last headphones I was using was MEE Maxtrix2, they were fairly good headphones but broke on me, I'm basically looking for a pair of wireless headphones that are very durable.
Try these out as well, my family likes them, great sq and battery life.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DOP3NPW
I've had my TL-S for almost two years and probably used the HFL <10 times. The cost of replacing the box depends on how much you use the phone in the car.
I found a great option for audio that I use everyday.
https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-RFBTAUX-Universal-Bluetooth-Streaming/dp/B00I4WYXAO
Yeah I feel you. I was looking into a wireless 3.5mm transmitter and receiver to plug into the output of my sonos bridge and then plugging receiver into the rhythm module to improve response time without running a long wire. Theoretically the one below would work as long as your home theater system allows additional output. For now it wasn't worth testing the idea for then available wireless transmitter/receivers I found on Amazon. I can't justify $50 to remove a few ms of delay
It would be nice if there was a Nanoleaf solution for it since depending on the shape of the room and placement of speakers it might only pick up partial sound.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OPVWHRY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Jw16Cb2V462SA
You could use this separately
receiver transmit pair
No worries! So far I'm very happy about the switch. It seems like only Samsung is keeping the headphone jack at the moment, and I don't enjoy their software. And it seems more like I should get a solid 3 days off the XR between charges so I'm very happy at the moment.
This is the converter I will most likely order:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00QX0YR7I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_0Cp-BbTX0E4GX
I recently did exactly that to use my QC35s. I got the MEE Audio Connect:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016NIOOH2/
There is lag, but it's only really noticeable if you have your TV speakers on at the same time and listen to both at once.
I also wouldn't be recommending it if you hadn't specified using a optical connectionโI tried analogue first, and the audio quality and lag were both awful. With optical though, I've been using this setup for most of my gaming for the past few months and I find it very convenient.
However I have an apple watch and iphone x and it can switch seamlessly between the devices so this is the benefit of the W1 chip. Also if you have the latest range of Ipads I think they all seemlessly connect.

one example.
No.. theres no through port for USB C but there are similar dongles out there that do have a usb c port for charging. Alternatively, as you mention, you can use a BT dongle that connects to the 3mm jack, leaving the charging port free llike this one from Trond (I use this one when the Switch is docked)
https://www.amazon.co.uk/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=trond+aptx+ll&qid=1562719219&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1
You could buy a separate Bluetooth audio transmitter (connected to your TV's audio out) which has support for pairing to two headsets simultaneously, such as one or two. If your headphones support AptX Low Latency, you may want to spend a bit more on something that supports dual pairing and LL at the same time like this one (most with LL can only enable it when a single headphone is paired).
try this one out:
https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC/
not all bluetooth devices support low latency. if the headphones support low latency, you should not get sync issues with a low latency transmitter.
I have this trond bluetooth adapter and the sony wh-1000xm3 and I don't have any audio delay and its perfect.
Here's the Amazon link for the TROND adapter OP pictured.
I was looking at this one
The short cord would allow you to hide on the back side of the dock with the rest of the cables.
Itโs called TROND 2-in-1 Bluetooth V5.0... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
There are devices you can plug into a 3.5mm headphone jack which convert the signal to Bluetooth. I have one for my electric piano. This is what I use.
apt-X headphones https://www.aptx.com/products?field_product_category_tid=125
Speakers https://www.aptx.com/products?field_product_category_tid=130
You can also get small standalone transceivers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC (just a single example) That would let you use any headphone/also transmit if you wanted.
As for LDAC, that seems to be purely a Sony thing https://www.sony.com/electronics/headphones/t/in-ear-headphones
https://www.sony.com/electronics/headphones/t/headband-headphones
Mentions LDAC in almost all of their Bluetooth models.
Im trying to do something which is seemingly simple but it turns out to be giving me quite a hard time.
I want a bluetooth headset for gaming with both audio and a mic.
One of the requirements I have is low latency. I therefore bought this set:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VLWPXF/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
As a bluetooth transmitter I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UEGDDAY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But then, I realized this doesnt fully bluetooth my comp, it only allowes me to receive audio, not use it as a mic.
So I purchased the following:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4W40VC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
After setting this up I realized the 'receiver' part is only for connecting with a phone, and didnt help me use a mic from my headset. regardless, i have to move the switch from either TX or RX. cant do both at once.
The only bluetooth that let me do both was something similiar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Bluetooth-Adapter-Wireless-Keyboard/dp/B00VWEK4IG/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1522075221&sr=1-3&keywords=usb+bluetooth+transmitter
Not only did this come with its own issues (for some reason the mic stopped working when in game) bit it isnt low latency.
What are my options? Why is it so hard to find a Bluetooth adapter that can enable low latency Audio and mic simultaneously. Is it really that hard? What are my other options?
I only see a memory chip on that side, you'd have to take a picture of the other side.
As a somewhat less destructive option, you could use one of those aux to Bluetooth adapters, the FM chips on those MP3 players often rely on the headphone cord to be the antenna, so if you eliminate the headphone cord, FM operation should be effectively disabled.
Example product, no affiliation, no idea if this one is good or not:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_lqd4Db236TZ5N
What do you think about me using this product:
https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1527454147&sr=8-3&keywords=bluetooth+tx+rx
and just forgetting the lightning port altogether?
So this is a bit of a "janky" solution, but what I've been doing is this.
Two of these (30$ each) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4W40VC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
One goes in the headphone jack, and one goes into the line in on your PC (TX and RX), and you then you plug your headphones into the other jack on your quest.
That way you can still have audio, but your viewers/video can have audio. There is a bit of latency (not bad at all though, sub 100ms) that you can fix in OBS.
It has pretty good range in my experience, and I haven't really had any issues with it.
What do you want to use bluetooth for? If it is to sync, you might be out of luck. If it is to transmit to speakers, try https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4W40VC . It connects to the 3.5mm port. I've used it quite successfully to broadcast from my iPod Classic to a car bluetooth.
I recommend an aptx low latency or HD, depending on the audio use, wireless adapter.
You would take one of these:
TROND Bluetooth V5.0 Transmitter Receiver for TV PC iPod, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Adapter (AptX Low Latency, Pair with 2 Bluetooth Headphones Simultaneously), Black
Plug the 3.5mm into the LINE IN for subpac and turn it on, turn the TROND on as RX.
Then, depending on your music source, you would use another TROND to send low latency audio or if youre going for cd-quality wireless, you will want to set this all up for aptx hd.
Im using this with my PC and m2x for low latency vr audio mirroring so I can still output audio to tv speakers for audiences.
Avantree DG60 aptX-HD Long Range USB Bluetooth Audio Transmitter Adapter for PC Laptop Mac PS4, Wireless Audio Dongle for Headphones, Speakers, aptX Low Latency, Broadcast to Multiple Speakers
EDIT: Now that Ive posted all of that Im sure youll spend a few hours picking out a couple components that would be perfect for whole house wireless audio or whatnot.
I bought a little bluetooth receiver that I plug my wired speaker into. No unsightly wires or risk of damage to the tablet.

For any of you Bluetooth pioneers:
I have a pair of B&O H7's that I purchased specifically so that I can use them while moving about my office while having audio/video streaming from my desktop computer. My problem is that they are at a noticeably lower volume while connected via Bluetooth to my computer, than they are when connected to my iPhone. Volume works great when connected via Bluetooth to phone, so I've concluded that it's a transmitter/computer issue. I have tried a simple USB Bluetooth transmitter, a more expensive USB Bluetooth transmitter, as well as an externally powered 3.5MM transmitter connected via an amp, and they all yield the same volume issues. I have also turned the volume all the way up on the headphones using the built-in controls.
Just curious if anyone has experienced similar, or has a recommendation for a transmitter setup that has better volume output? I just find it so weird that the issue doesn't exist when connected to my phone, that I'm positive there is SOME way to get it fixed with my computer.
Thanks!
Ok, it's been fun watching people post ridiculous product suggestions for such a simple request, but it's time to actually answer the question. Go buy a pair of something like this:
Then you can use whatever outdoor/waterproof powered speaker you want. Alternately, just get one transmitter and use a waterproof speaker (or two) that has bluetooth built in.
There are hundreds of little dongles like this. I just happen to like the fact that this one can be switched between being a transmitter or a receiver. That gives me a lot of confidence that the devices will work well together. Also, it's capable of transmitting to two different receivers at one time, so you'll be ready when you decide that you also just gotta have audio somewhere else outside.
If this product suggestion gives anyone the urge to indulge in verbal diarrhea regarding bluetooth audio quality, let me proactively advance the discussion by saying, "STFU". Bluetooth audio quality is an order of magnitude better than what's needed for normal outdoor speakers much less speakers that are going to be competing with the noise of a hot tub.
You can get something like this to plug into your Switch when you dock it so that you can use bluetooth headphones with it. It's powered by USB so maybe (ideally) you can power it off the Switch dock for a self-contained solution.
I have a "regular" 5.1 system in the living room that allows me to be on 1 input but have two inputs connected. One goes to my PC, and the other is basically an aux port where I plugged in a bluetooth receiver that is connected to an electrical socket and always on. You just pair up and is always ready. The surround system just overlaps the PC and BT audio if both are playing. I also have a 2.1 in the bedroom with a single input and I have the same kind of receiver connected (that one is powered by the included typical USB wall adapter). Something like this is what I have in the bedroom while I have the wall mount similar to this one in the living room.
I have been wanting this damn feature in google home for a while now. I got it free (mini) with my Pixel 2 but the only real use is asking for weather, timers, and occasional questions when talking to people and wanting a fact straightened out. I never cared for the music in the mini because it sucks for audio quality and sound propagation. I don't want to buy any chromecasts when my house speakers are wireless (bluetoothed) already. I especially like I can have my bedroom and living room both playing from a single source for the multi-room audio. Very cool.
I have the Vizio P65 which, despite having Chromecast built in, does not have bluetooth. I ended up getting a bluetooth adapter for it but the experience is clunky. Not too bad though, if you want to go that route I used this one which has AptX and can play to two devices.
Go old school, and then add a bluetooth transmitter. Best of both worlds.
Yes but Iโve found that cheap ones are finicky.
I used this receiver/transmitter with my bluetooth speaker but theoretically you could connect one to itself cuz it has a switch to flip between receiving and transmitting. These things are battery powered and I leave mine plugged in so I donโt know how well it would fit your situation. But anywho it does exist in many forms
Iโve attached an amazon linkBluetooth transmitter/receiver
Since it's BT 4.1, which by default has audio support, they've intentionally disabled it.
I'd recommend the MPOW BH045A if you can find one at a good price. Unfortunately, while it's $30 USD on Amazon.com, it's inexplicably $86 CAD on Amazon.ca.
Try this. Mpow Bluetooth 4.1 Receiver and Transmitter, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter, Pairing with 2 Bluetooth Headphones at Once in TX Mode, Built-in Mic for Hands-Free Calling in RX Mode https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_saQJBb0J0KDKB
Yeah, this is quite a bit smaller, I think. I own an older version of that - same brand, but is a receiver only - and I'm pretty happy with it.
This kinda adds Bluetooth to your car.
I know this isn't what you asked for but I bought one of these and it works great so far. Let's you connect any 3.5mm to a Bluetooth receiver that's small and it has a mic you can talk through.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01KXIKCSI/ref=pd_aw_lpo_60_tr_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=6F8KNSR7VGXKDB679ZMT
It's both a transmitter and receiver.
If you want a cheaper one that is only a receiver, this one will do.

The lack of Bluetooth audio support on many (if not most) of Sony's AndroidTV's has been discussed and complained about for years now. It's there on only a handful of the most expensive sets, but the large majority of models doesn't have it (despite whatever "new" version of Android is installed.) It's disappointing. However, there is a cheap workaround. Get one of these and plug it into the TV's headphone (audio out) port. I have this one and it works fine, no lag.

Hi, I make the 2E1 stereo headphone for the single sided deaf. Have you explored the possibilities of using a bluetooth broadcaster?
It will allow the audio signal to be transmitted via bluetooth and sync-up with your hearing aid.
Any of these should work:
Giveet bluetooth adapter
TaoTronics bluetooth adapter
Avantree long range bluetooth adapter
You can get a Bluetooth transmitter for about $20 that'll let you use your existing Bluetooth headphones. Drawbacks are it adds extra bulk, and it's another thing to have to keep charged

The version of the bluetooth on the Bike is important. Both my wife and I ride with X3's and have never had an issue. How old is your bike? It *may* be an issue with the version of bluetooth on the Gen of bike you have, trying to work with newer versions on your X3's. We have a bike we purchased in October and both can be using our X3's at the same time, but the bike always keeps whoever started the ride paired and never has an issue.
Many folks with the issue above have used external bluetooth transmitters on older gen bikes to resolve the issue. I have one I use on airplanes so I can use my X3's there too. These have worked well for us on planes, but never tried on the peloton.
Good luck!
Thanks for posting this info. I've had continuous issues watching movies with my Bose QC 35. I got so tired of all the disconnects, that I started just plugging in the 3.5mm cable.
I got this dongle and the Bose QC 35 works 100% with it, connected to the 3.5mm plug on the PB.

It's just sad that I need this cheap dongle to use BT audio reliably...
Headsets must be PS4 specific to connect directly.

This is a $20 dongle that allows you to use any bluetooth headphones to connect to your TV. Not super eloquent, but gets the job done if you need to game quietly.

It does come with an adapter so you can plug it into the dock. Iโve tried with my non low latency Sony noise cancelling headphones and it works well, pairs easily. I checked in lip sync scenes like the telltale Batman game and Wolfenstein and the sound does match up with the animation, but in other games it feels like thereโs a very minor lag, like 0.5 sec or less. Probably has more to do with the headphones since theyโre not the low latency kind. The nice thing is, I use the skull and co grip and the adapter has an extended usb connector so you can use it while having the case on.
Edit: should also point out I did use the charge pass through just fine, did not brick my switch. Used official charger.

Weird off-brand bluetooth headphones, but they fit well, sound good, and have a jack on the cup, so you can replace the cable with a shorter one if you have it, or just tie the included cable up in the Vive headstrap like I do. Haven't even tried using them wirelessly because I don't want to bother charging them.
Put on Vive, put on headphones, find cable, plug into headphones. Done.
On the cheaper side, I have meeaudio matrix2 and replaced the stock pads with these. I've tried a few RF headphones and was put off by the "crackle", which seemed to come and go.
I couldn't give you a specific pair since I don't have much experience with just Bluetooth headphones.
I think if you watched innerfidelity's review on the Momentum Wireless he suggest this headphone if you were in need for a decent pair with solid audio.
Budget is as low as possible but probably nothing more than $100. Want bluetooth functionality for PC so I can watch Netflix and for listening on my walks through my phone, with good wired sound quality when I am working on music at my desktop. Preferably full sized headphones that cover the ear, at a reasonable price. Obviously you pay what you get, and I found a few cheap options that I am a little unsure about sound-quality wise. Any other recommendations would be lovely. These are the two I am thinking about

This might be slightly more headphone oriented but I'm looking at getting a blue-tooth audio RX/TX so I can listen to TV/Music late at night without bothering my housemate through our thin shitty walls.
The only experience I have with blue-tooth audio is with the Sony MW600 that uses Bluetooth 3.0. I've found it has a very noticeable impact on audio quality even through Samsungs Oem headphones and my cars stock system.
Was bluetooth 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 a big jump in audio quality?
4.0 RX/TX for $24 Lacks Pass through charging so not extremely interested but still an option
4.1 RX/TX for $34 This supports pass through charging so I'm leaning towards this.
My Galaxy S7 has bluetooth 4.2 and my desktop has 4.0.
As I understand it 4.2 adds a big jump in transfer speeds but I'd imagine that my mostly 320kbps library with a few flacs, Spotify premium and the stereo output from my TV is is well under the transfer speed of even 4.0.
I'm not listening through super high end gear. Wired will be the cheap yet awesome Beteran KZ ATE w/ Mic and an inexpensive pair of in-ear bluetooth headphones like these or a also cheap but good over ear set. I need to do a little more research into bluetooth headphones but right now I'm focused on which bluetooth TX/RX to buy. Leaning towards in-ears since their more portable.
___
/r/headphones seems to recommend these $70 over ear bluetooth headphones or these $27 in ear bluetooth headphones. As far as I can tell most of those ~$25 in ear headphones are pretty much all clones of each other with mostly the same internals and user interfaces.
__
Not looking for the best bluetooth set up I don't have the money for it. But I don't want to notice and regret the drop in audio quality every time I go wireless over a 3.5mm cable as I do with the MW600.

Audiotechnica ath-m40x
MEElectronics Air-Fi Matrix2 AF62
At first I was thinking of buying the first one, but also saw that it doesn't have bluetooth. I'm only buying the second one if its quality justifies it or if it is similar to the ath-m40x, and because I don't know too much about this, I need your opinion on this. Thanks
> I personally haven't been satisfied with Bluetooth headphones
If you can scrape together the huge amount of money, I'd recommend the Sennheiser Momentum 2/HD 1 Wireless. I bought a pair used, and they're incredible. On a tight (read: sane) budget, I'd check out the MEE audio Matrix2, which can be periodically be found on Amazon Warehouse deals for under $40.
Hey all,
I stumbled upon these while looking around for a new headset. Honestly, I'm a big noob when it comes to headphones and audio quality. Can anyone take a look at these? I'm not looking for super top-of-the-line, just something affordable and average/above average quality.
Thanks!
EDIT:
Someone replied then deleted...? But they recommended these MEE audio Matrix 2 instead, and upgrade with these earpads. Puts the total just above $100 and that was my limited. Can someone confirm this is a good setup? I'm a bit cautious since they deleted their reply...
I have the Air-Fi Venture and they are fantastic. A bit muddy, but EQed them to be much better. Battery life is amazing and I could go for 16-18 hours of music before needing to charge them. only downside is that they don't seal so well, they just sit on your ears without any pressure.
You could go for the higher class version of them, the Matrix which I don't have experience with.
The Meelectronics Matrix 2 is the best pair of bluetooth headphones I've tried. Here's a review.

The sound quality is quite good, and they can be used wired as well if needed. Also, the battery life is ~20 hours of active use.
Hello everyone. I'm longing for bluetooth on/over-ear heaphones in the preferably sub 100โฌ category.
I am going to use it on my phone the Nintendo Switch and my PC equally for music and gaming.
They should have some isolation since I would like to use them ouside.
I like me some bass and listen to almost every genre but mainly electro and rap.
From the recommendations guide my result were the (149.99โฌ - https://www.amazon.de/MEE-HP-AF62-CF-MEE-Matrix2-Bluetooth-Kopfh%C3%B6rer-rot-schwarz/dp/B00DOP3NPW) MEE Audio Air-Fi Matrix 2 headphones (is it 'was' or 'were', not sure?).
The guide mentioned that there is a rebrand of the headphones, the (59.99 - https://www.amazon.de/M05-%C3%9Cber-Ohr-Kopfh%C3%B6rer-Stereo-Kopfh%C3%B6rer-Musik-Streaming-Freisprechfunktion/dp/B00R2MEH94) AUSDOM M05.
If they are practically the same then I should get the rebrand since they are 90โฌ cheaper or are there better alternatives for me?
Thanks in advance
Edit: I'm from germany as you can read from the amazon links.
Got my wife these based on some reddit recommendations, so far they seem pretty good.
MEE audio Matrix2 Bluetooth Wireless + Wired High Fidelity Headphones with Headset and aptX, AAC, and NFC Support https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DOP3NPW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_EyNgybV7T3NV2
Maybe look at the MEE Air Fi Matrix2? Tyll rather seemed to enjoy them, and they measure exceptionally for the price.
I got the MEE audio Matrix2 Bluetooth Wireless headphones in March of this year, and have been quite happy with them at the gym. They charge using micro-USB, and last the couple of hours at full blast during my workout (they last longer, but I rarely need them for longer than that). I've used them both wired (no power necessary) and wireless using Bluetooth. They will even connect to both my computer and phone at the same time over Bluetooth. And the microphone isn't too bad for when I get a call as long as I'm able to speak normally.
Is it BIFL? Can't say for sure yet, but they are not too pricey, and if you don't mind over the ear headphones, they are a good buy.
I'm currently running with Meeltronics overear headphone : https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00DOP3NPW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I won't lie, I'm a big fan of these headphones. I ran for two years with that but now is the time for me I think to change. I'm starting to do longer runs more regularly and they are fairly hot on my head, specially in hot weather. It never bothered me much but it's starting to now. I shopped for a while for alternatives to overear headphones for my running and everything isn't perfect.
I'm used to the great sound of overear headphones and I often listen to music fairly loudly. I've tried Aftershokz Air and even though it's comfortable and cool technology and very light, the sounds isn't loud even at maxed volume which is disappointing.
I know it's a very vague question but outside of Plantronics backbeat fit I haven't seen anything worth buying really, specially when all the options I've seen are well over 125$ where my current are 80$ and have been literally indestrucible. They suffered rain, snow and a huge amount of sweat.
Thanks in advance
Hey all! I have never had a decent set of headphones and am not sure what to get.
budget: $100 or less.
headphones: over ear, bluetooth
so far I have looked at the Audsom M05,MEE audio matrix 2, and the plantronics backbest sense (links below)

no apt x but I used this:
https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-RFBTAUX-Universal-Bluetooth-Streaming/dp/B00I4WYXAO

bose had an BT adapter with apt X,but they stopped selling them,
I have 2 that I keep around the house plus the new version with wifi.
I'm pretty unhappy that they killed the 3.5mm headphone jack, but it is what it is. I don't plan on buying an iPhone 7, I'll stick with my 6+.
As for the car listening/charging situation, I have a solution for you. Get a Bluetooth to auxiliary adapter. I've got this one and it's worked great for the past two years: https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-RFBTAUX-Universal-Bluetooth-Streaming/dp/B00I4WYXAO
I use this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I4WYXAO
It's more expensive but doesn't require any batteries. I love using BT->AUX adapters because I don't have to plug anything in when I get into the car. My phone auto connects and I could configure it to start playing automatically. I have it configured to stop playing audio when BT disconnects (when I turn off my car).
I use this and I love it so far. Gives you Bluetooth and with the extra USB you can charge at the same time from the same plug. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I4WYXAO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are the ones I picked up, there are plenty available, the trick is both sender and receiver must support the apt-X codec: http://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Pre-paired-Certified-transmitter-headphones/dp/B00OPVWHRY
Could you splice, (or audio isolation transformer) one of the wired outputs, (say left side + -) and run a cable to one of these? and then that would go to your remote speaker (assuming mono, but look up if this is aval in stereo, if required.)

Normal bluetooth headphones will be terrible. However, there is a norm that offers decent delay, APTX low latency (caution: "APTX" by itself doesn't mean low latency, look for "APTX low latency"). I use these to plug any kind of headphones: https://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Headphones/dp/B00OPVWHRY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1494608985&sr=8-5&keywords=avantree%2Baptx%2Blow&th=1
From my experience, the delay is not a deal breaker. I'm not very good at scoring anyway, but I don't feel too handicapped by the delay (which should be around 30ms) when playing casually. My steps definitely are very slightly off, but it's not ruining my fun.
These are the ones I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OPVWHRY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_pBJzzbV5YMRTZ.
Most pc manufacturers (and Apple) put crap bluetooth transmitters into their machines. They're high latency and the built in drivers suck on both Windows and Mac. What avantree has done which is genius is they basically make their transmitters operate without any interaction with your operating system or pc hardware. Just plug it into your microphone port and win :-).
They do have some background noise if you leave them plugged into usb to charge (not grounded well). But if they're running on their internal battery then they'll transmit no problem.
Can always return if it doesn't work well for you. You'll probably need an adapter for a good mic to work with the 1/8" audio jack as well.
Best of luck! Hope you find something that works for you!
I use the scrcpy method with these as transmitters and this as an external mic. I run everything though OBS and have 0 latency. I stream everything live on this facebook page so you can see for yourself how it works if you like. You could do the same thing of course with Twitch. Not the cheapest method I admit but it's the best method I've found for latency.
I obtained audio on PC using these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OPVWHRY/
Ive also been able to plug them into my Denon reciever and get audio while using my TV as a monitor with my PC.
It works out great. Initial setup is a whole thing though.
[New Version] Mpow Streambot Mini Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Audio Music... http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00QX0YR7I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_udp_api_6-U0xbXW363CY
I got this one from Amazon a few minutes ago:
https://www.amazon.ca/Bluetooth-Receiver-Mpow-Streambot-Hands-Free/dp/B00QX0YR7I.
I'm hoping it'll suffice. The AuX cable I have requires a USB dongle and the sound quality is very bad.
Hmmm, I've seen a few of these in Ubers and I think my buddy has one too. I'll probably try it first, and if that doesn't work, I'll try your solution.
My AUX jack is inside my middle compartment so the look of it and how it sticks out doesn't bother me.
Are Sennheiser HD440BTs a good pair of bluetooth headphones for the price? I've also had Status CB-1 and an adapter recommended to me.
There's already plenty of BT transmitters with AptX-LL support, from USB ones for PC/Mac use, to models more suited for home theater use with optical input and the ability to stream to two headphones simultaneously, and even USB-C stuff meant for the Nintendo Switch...
I dunno how adaptive AptX stacks up latency-wise, seems like a riff on the variable bitrate ability of LDAC but I've not seen a lot of transmitters with LDAC either and that's been out longer... So it might be a while for adaptive AptX. AptX-LL works more than fine for TV watching or gaming tho...
I have a solution that will not be broken by updates from Sony (as far as I can imagine)
An optical\TOSLINK audio to Bluetooth transmitter.
*Note that this is only to stream game audio to your Bluetooth headset and NOT for mic INPUT.
I bought a TosBlue-x from http://telme2.com/. They are based in Norway so shipping times will be a little long. It has 3.5mm and optical audio inputs, and outputs to Bluetooth with aptx for low latency audio.
I have not used it for the PS4, but have tested with other optical output devices and donโt see why it wouldnโt work for the PS4 since its taking audio from the toslink connector and has nothing to do with the PS4s ridiculous Bluetooth restrictions. I paired it with my Sony MDR-XT950BT without any issues. If I power off the transmitter, I've had to repair it every time I power it back on (minor inconvenience). (Will test with PS4 soon to curb any doubts)
Since then I've found a gadget on Amazon that achieves the same thing, but can transmit to two headset for less than the cost of the TosBlue-X.
MEE transmitter - I have not used this but in theroy, it should work, assuming your headset can pair to it and support its profiles.
http://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Universal-Headphone-Transmitter/dp/B016NIOOH2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452488023&sr=8-1&keywords=toslink+to+bluetooth
Best of all, you can source the optical audio (or 3.5mm if you must) out from your TV, so you can transmit all TV sounds to your headset instead of just the PS4!!
For mic input, just plug in the included headset and hang it on your neck or from your ear or something.
So, with the holidays and all it took a while. Basically, you can do it. The first device I got to work was an mpow unit, but I had to combine some splitters and a powered digital audio to regular converter to make it work. The delay, however, was untenable. -- But then, for Christmas, I was gifted this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NIOOH2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00) which works perfectly. Very slight delay, cured by the tv settings.
I don't see why something like this wouldn't work? https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless-HV-BT018/dp/B0185GZMMQ
Though it would add a little clutter to it, maybe you could attach it to the volume thing.
> I know there are plenty of Bluetooth adapters out there, but this is not what I'm looking for.
But it sounds exactly like what you are looking for. Care to elaborate what a bluetooth adapter like this does not cover? Heck, that thing can even act as a receiver if you want!
I got this one from Amazon that works both ways for around the same price. Lets you connect a Bluetooth source to anything with only a 3.5mm plug or lets you use Bluetooth headphones/speakers on anything with only 3.5mm out. Just turn it off, flip a switch, and turn it back on to change modes. Charges with micro-USB and a think a 12ish hour battery life, but i keep mine plugged in all the time. Main reason I got it is to use my Bluetooth headphones on my work computer, but works pretty well hooked up to my TV so as to not wake people up when I use my Xbox (already have a PS4 headset and couldn't justify buying an Xbox one too).

It's been great and pairs easily.
you would need something like this : https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Sinvitron-Headphones-Simultaneously/dp/B01ABOKRPC
i don't know if that one is any good. but you'd have to plug that into the 3.5mm port on the psvr cable.
seems a little crazy because you don't want a wire going less than 1m to the box though
This would probably work but not for chat.
I used this one but eventually gave up. Too many things to charge so I ended up going back to generic headphones that plugged in https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Sinvitron-Headphones-Simultaneously/dp/B01ABOKRPC/ref=sr_1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1500490324&sr=1-4&keywords=bluetooth+adapter+ipod+headphones
If you have the Xbox connected to a receiver, you could try a bluetooth transmitter and plug it into the headphone jack of the receiver. There may be lag.
Here's one such device:
https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC
I plugged this to my TV and listened via Bluetooth earphones. Works great -
TROND 2-in-1 Bluetooth V4.1 Transmitter Receiver / Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter (aptX Low Latency for Both TX and RX, 2 Devices Simultaneously) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC
A drawback is Guest SSID functionality might not be as robust as your primary SSID's by design, depending on your router. But it is easy to set-up and start experimenting, though.
I am not sure how Streaming Stick+ helps you. Maybe you mean the Ultra that comes with a headphone jack in the remote?
Solid suggestion.
After doing some research, I just might go wireless with a cheap
Aukey Bluetooth receiver or a TROND Bluetooth receiverTaoTronics wireless audio adapter.Video review
I've used the Trond BT-Duo with great effect for years. Amazon here.
you could buy a pair of these and connect one to the output of the HMD and one to your headphones, but you'd have to jerry rig something to hold the dongle to the headphones and the HMD cable.. it might actually be a horrible solution.. also batteries and possible lag :(
So my 7 solution was working and it stopped working. I tried for another hour to get it working again, couldn't, even with the dongle.
I bought this (since I wanted BlueTooth with other analog devices) and am using this now, it's working great.

Technically you would be able to use a Bluetooth transmitter but as everyone says there are likely to be latency issues which is bad in VR.
I have this one which I use with my Switch and on flights to watch movies.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_aiK3Cb06N364J
If you *really* need non-delayed audio, you could just plug an amplified external speaker into an unused headphone jack on the headset. You know, one of those little "phone speakers".

Like this: https://smile.amazon.com/G-Zip-Portable-line-in-speaker/dp/B00CO60A0S/ref=sr_1_27_sspa

If you need better quality and or volume, you could get a bigger/fancier Bluetooth speaker, and an audio-to-Bluetooth dongle. I'm guessing that the Bluetooth interface will introduce *some* delay, however.

Like this: https://smile.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Simultaneously-CD-Player/dp/B01B4W40VC
my goal is to watch tv with bluetooth headphones with the sound all the way down on the playbar.
my tv volume is set to be permanently zero, so I don't think adding something like this (below)will work. plus it's going to add clutter to my clean mounting.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC?psc=1
I'm mostly planning to use my PC, so I'll need the transmitter too.
I really wish there was a tiny male-to-male adapter like this but with 2.5mm, can't find that anywhere sadly. Do you usually have yours handing off your headphones with a slightly longer cable?
This one has a clip so I could attach it to my shirt.
This other one is both a transmitter and receiver, I could maybe just get two of those, one for each end?
You can use a portable bluetooth transmitter like this, https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC
Screen isn't essential, it just automatically connects to the closest thing it can find that's waiting to pair.
It looks like the best way to get Bluetooth support may be a small AptX capable transmitter. I found this one on Amazon that people are using for the Nintendo Switch :
https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC/
I guess you would have to attach the transmitter to the Quest but it looks like the audio lag would be 30-40ms (instead of 200+ms)
edit - You would obviously need AptX compatible Bluetooth headphones. I don't believe any of the Airpod models support this.
Looks like a gadget like this can transmit to 2 bluetooth headsets: https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1480530697&sr=8-4&keywords=bluetooth+2+devices
99 percent sure you want something like this. TROND Bluetooth V5.0 Transmitter Receiver for TV PC iPod, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Adapter (AptX Low Latency, Pair with 2 Bluetooth Headphones Simultaneously), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4coYCbEZ4839R
This one works amazing with my Nintendo switch. They pair In like 5 seconds so I like it. Havenโt had to charge it in about 4 days. And itโs small. Cheers ๐

This provides decent audio quality for my work computer. Worth every penny.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B4W40VC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1UF68VVAYTLD5&psc=1 works with docked/undocked. You just need earbuds/headset that is aptx compatible.
Bluetooth's default codec has high latency which means that the video/audio will go out of sync and the sound quality will be shite, at least for me.
aptX is a codec that's meant to fix that, and aptX-LL (Low Latency) would be the best choice for streaming desktop audio wirelessly.
Buy the FiiO BTR1, which is aptX+aptX-LL capable receiver and also buy a transmitter that's capable of aptX-LL (like this, this or this) and you'll not regret having aptX capable gear after trying to watch normal YouTube videos or game on that crappy default BT connection.
I believe macOS can utilize aptX by default, but if you have a Windows PC and do not have a 3.5mm jack to hook up the transmitter to, then you can buy an aptX-capable dongle like this and install the CSR Harmony BT stack because the default Microsoft BT stack does not properly support aptX.
I have a BTR1 and the CSR 4.0 dongle that I linked above and I get near zero latency unless I go too far (it switches codec to the default BT one if I go too far) - I'm not sure if it's using aptX-LL though, but it's definitely using aptX.
The upcoming FiiO BTR3 and the Bluewave GET also support aptX-HD apart from aptX-LL, but I don't think most media can even use such a high bitrate, so aptX-LL will be fine for now.
I guess you can ignore my advice if you are happy with the Mpow receiver (like many people) - I didn't use it personally, but my experience with non-aptX devices has been awful.
You can find a Bluetooth transmitter and wire from your receivers B output (if there is one) and then pair with BT speaker. Range will be the only issue but it should work up to 30โ with line of sight. Hereโs an example that I have used thatโs rock solid
https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=taotronics&qid=1566532107&s=mp3&sr=1-4
This is just an example, not sure if it's any good. What you need is a "transmitter", specifically- that means it sends a signal out to other devices. Link
There are also "transmitter/receivers" which work in both directions: Link2
Something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=sr_1_16?keywords=bluetooth+transmitter&qid=1563966960&s=gateway&sr=8-16

Your TV doesn't have a headphone jack, but does have an RCA audio out on the bottom back. That one I linked says it includes all the cables necessary.
Was missing Bluetooth audio and hooked this up today. It's not perfect (I have to turn it on and off) but there are next/back buttons so I can change tracks without looking at my phone.
I had the BT receiver laying around already. But this is the one I used:

Edit: words
There are bluetooth transmitters that can connect multiple receivers:
https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless/dp/B01IV1H1ME/
Or, if you're into the cable nest look, single receiver transmitters are relatively cheap:

plus a splitter:

Am I missing anything?
Thanks for the link/photo/recommendation! Have you tried pairing this to a surround sound receiver?

I have an Onkyo 7.1 setup with a Bluetooth input I'd love to use for Beat Saber so I'm not sweating up headphones, but the built-in Bluetooth on the Quest won't pass audio to it at all even though it pairs. It's this, or I use a 25 foot stereo aux cable and then I'm tethered again like with the PSVR lol.

Also, did you see the upgrade option that supposedly lets you pair two devices? Wondering if this would be a better option to pair headphones and/or a surround receiver when in a party situation perhaps - little bigger but not much: https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
No. Those adapters (made for cars) are receivers, they take the audio from your phone wirelessly and output it to the headphone jack (which is connected to your car).
What you want is a transmitter since the switch is outputting audio.
Something like this would work:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IV1H1ME/ref=dp_ob_neva_mobile
But it is better to get the ones made specifically for the switch since they are much smaller and are low profile.
https://www.amazon.com/HomeSpot-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Compatible-Headphones/dp/B07L9SL7ZT/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=switch+bluetooth&qid=1571820564&sr=8-3
>Wow that's a lot to take in. I'm happy you told me about the whole tweeter position.
> as I was about to try and turn them sideways cause I figured that my ears are up here so why put speakers below where my ears are.
>And your 100percent correct that the human mouth aims at the listeners ears.
>I haven't tried to play anything between 300 or 2000 hurts as yet. Is there a record or download I can get that will help me test that?
just anything vocal heavy. down to the river from "Oh Brother where art thou" the movie sound track is beautiful as is landslide by Fleetwood Mac the demo version or album version.
virtually all of her voice will be emanating not from the tweeter but from the woofer since the human voice tonally peaks before even 1000hz.
think about that. the human voice which is essentially the hardest thing to get right ranges from about 200hz to 1000hz and that's like Barry white and Mariah Carey minus her squeal which goes a bit higher.
and then around 1000-3000 is where lip noises breath the sound of consonants and sibilance are which is why our hearing is actually most sensitive there to allow us to be able to comprehend speech.
that range is such a hot spot that it's also the range of nails on chalk board and why the sound of people chewing with their mouths open cuts through the mix and is considered rude. it sounds louder to us than it really is...
a baby crying it's loudest, belting is what it's technically called, also falls within this range which again makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint.
so the role of the tweeter is really only reserved for the percussive sounds in vocals while tone is all handled by the woofer and tone is richness which is what you want the most of, while clarity on the other hand adds air and dimension / sound staging but is also fatiguing to our ears just like nails on chalk board.
in all music the entire spectrum is basically covered so at any given point you are actually hearing nails on chalkboard but along with other stuff so it doesn't sound as bad but regardless having that range a bit off axis is just more comfortable.

>Other wise they r great speakers and once I figure out how to get them hooked up to my Bluetooth I should be happy as a clam.
you can find pretty decent Bluetooth adapters with line out for around 20 bucks. just make sure it has good reviews and supports apt x.
>Thanks for your help, I feel good knowing that these are better than 5 pairs of ls50s! (And that must be a lot of speakers)
I like this one especially since it allows you to stream to two devices at once:
Check this out at Amazon.com - TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter/Receiver, Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter (aptX Low Latency, Pair 2 at Once, for TV/Car Sound System, Volume Control) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_ZLAQDb9X2X27K
the advantage is also that it's super compact so I can carry it with me on a plane or something BUT it's range is limited. if you plan on expecting it to work across the house rather than just when you're in the room I'd grab something with actual antennas like this.
Check this out at Amazon.com - 1Mii B06Pro Long Range Bluetooth Receiver, HiFi Wireless Audio Adapter, Bluetooth 4.2 Receiver with 3D Surround aptX Low Latency Optical RCA AUX 3.5mm for Home Stereo System

I think they're the same, one I thought was cheaper so I copied tbsh link too so I could check.
added: okay just reviewed my copied and pasted links, yea the last two are the same.
Here's what you're looking for:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IV1H1ME
It's switchable between transmitter and receiver, and one can transmit to the other. It's super easy, there's minimal latency, and you're looking at a total investment of $60.
You could use this to transmit music to your Sleepphones while your phone charges: https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1506015098&sr=8-14&keywords=bluetooth+receiver+for+headphones
You need two things like this, plus an amplifier on the speaker side.
https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless/dp/B01IV1H1ME/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Looks like there's also amps that will receive bluetooth so you can just get one transmitter above and then one of those.
I'm sure this could be made to work, but no idea if you'll be pleased with the results after spending a bunch of money on it. Any reason you have to get rid of the wires?
If you have more any questions, fire them away.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IV1H1ME/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1518707665&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=bluetooth+adapter+for+tv&dpPl=1&dpID=41c1ow4gH6L&ref=plSrch
It would work with anything that has a headphone jack. I did a quick Amazon search and there's a bunch but for example one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01IV1H1ME/
Receiver (1/8 inch audio cord into subpac): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WLHG7X4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Transmitter (1/8 inch audio cord in the computer audio out, powered with an empty USB port) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IV1H1ME/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There an easy way to tell if aptx is working...if you have noticeable latency, itโs not using aptx! Itโs possible your receiver is picking up the computer built in Bluetooth and not the aptx one. Problem solve with turning things off/on and test with a YouTube drum tutorial video (easy to find a delay in the audio/video that way).
You need to attach a bluetooth transmitter to the audio out on the turntable. Something this this should work https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IV1H1ME/
you also need a rca to aux adapter since that turntable has rca out
If you're implying that you can't use bluetooth in your car, but you can use an Aux cable...assuming that you aren't using headphones, do yourself a favor and get one of these:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IV1H1ME/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It works excellent; I've used many different versions and brands (moving from Bluetooth 2.0 up to 4.1) and they all accomplish the same thing, and the new ones sound fantastic (better than aux because there's no volume limit).
Run your audio source into this and pair it with your BT headphones. I have one and it sounds great. Hope that helps. :)
If you are in the US, and have the Onkyo A9010, like I, then you cannot plug the Chromecast 2 into your Onkyo as it does not have an HDMI input, so you will need to either:
There are probably other alternatives, but I don't know them.
I have a Chromecast Audio and love it. If you can find one, that's what I would do.
Get a Bluetooth transmitter like this or this.
something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Hands-free/dp/B01KXIKCSI?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2
I'm still kinda new to the audiophile stuff and only know about closed backs in the ~$100 range but I personally have a pair of Coolermaster mh752/1's and I'm loving those, they're amazingly comfy straight out of the box and the audio is very good for the price. Other than that I've read that the audiotechnica ath M40x has better audio than the mh752's but the pads have to be replaced before they're usable. For the mpow adapter [these] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8uYGCbE4VRMYM) were the ones that were recommended to my by some other people. you can probably do a quick search for ~$200 headphones and just buy an adapter to go with it.
Edit: link fumbling

Edit 2: okay the link isnt getting fixed so im just gonna leave it
How long is the sale? Also idk much about how bluetooth works but what makes this one better than say these three 1 2 3 I guess the third one is the best one to compare it too. Please help

I bought something similar to this. The brand I had was called KINGTOP but Amazon doesn't have it anymore. It didn't have that bulky part in the 3.5 jack but it works with my wireless earphones.
That gadget is $200.

You should be able to connect a pair of Bluetooth headphones to the PS4 without much trouble I believe
or you could plug one of these directly into the controller and connect Bluetooth headphones to it (as long as it can be a transmitter and not just a receiver) but like I said they should be able to connect to the system without one.
https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Hands-free/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1541342732&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=mpow+bluetooth+receiver&dpPl=1&dpID=41N92qcMoiL&ref=plSrch

(Note that I didn't shop around for the best product, it's just an example.)
It should turn 3.5 mm jack input --> bluetooth output, and vice versa.
I purchased a 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter that allows 2 sets of BT headphones. Now I just need to remember to also bring my USB-C to 3.5mm dongle.
https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Hands-free/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1541778461&sr=1-4&keywords=bluetooth+transmitter
https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Headphone/dp/B01KXIKCSI
That will do what you want.
EDIT: You might just need a Bluetooth receiver:
https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Streambot-Hands-Free-Streaming/dp/B0732Q2HP6
I havent tested it out out with bluetooth headpones yet, but i was able to pair up this tra smitter with a BT speaker and it worked well:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3UwzzbSWXGHVP
I use it in my car all the time, works has a receiver and transmitter, amd the audio jack is detachable, so you can replace it with a cable.
Just bought a new pair of bluetooth headpobes, I'm gonna test them out soon. If it works well enough, I plan o attaching the transmitter to the back of my hybrid case, and using a short cable to connect it to the switch that way, versus awkwardly bulging out from the top.
A tiny bluetooth transmitter like this could help in that situation.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_GCdOBbN1DM7AN
Shouldn't it just be as easy as putting a bluetooth receiver into the aux for the headphones?
Mpow Bluetooth 4.1 Receiver and Transmitter, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter, Pairing with 2 Bluetooth Headphones At Once In TX Mode, Built-in Mic for Hands-free Calling in RX Mode https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fitQBbE266X0C
The way Bluetooth works is strictly one-to-one. So, unfortunately, there's no easy way to just connect 2 sets of wireless headphones to your phone, for example. There are splitters though. This seems to be one of the most popular ones on Amazon, that would do what you want: Mpow Bluetooth 4.1 Receiver and Transmitter, 2-in-1 Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter
>MPOW Streambot mini
>The buttons on the side allow me to change tracks with the press of only one button and if I hold them, it'll change the volume
I wonder if that's a newer or older model than the MPBH045A I have? Really nifty little thing! Just a shame it has the same ass-backwards functioning of the buttons as you say yours has - probably my only complaint about the unit. (well, an all-aluminium chassis and buttons would have been awesome, but then it wouldn't be a sub-$30 product...)
Seriously, who thinks these things up? The side buttons have a plus and minus sign moulded into them to begin. Single presses changes tracks and you have to try to remember to press and hold to change volume. They should have flipped the functions around. Or just have the main front button do all the traditional play/pause button functions - single press for play & pause, double press for next and triple press for previous track. But no... Double press re-dials last number and triple press does absolutely nothing. Wish the button functions could be configured.
right here!
This bluetooth adapter might work.
It has a transmitter mode that outputs audio from devices with a headphone jack over bluetooth. You may be able to plug it into the headphone jack on the bottom of the xbox one's controller.
[Bluetooth Receiver] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_m49IzbP51XHF5)
Youโre looking for an IEM system. That stands for In-Ear Monitor system, and itโs what stage musicians are increasingly using instead of monitor speakers. You already have the headphones, so you just need the transmitter station (what youโll plug into your TV), and the bodypack (the part you plug your headphones into that typically clips onto your belt). The problem is these systems are expensive. $300 to $500 is pretty normal.
I did a bit of looking though, and found a wireless guitar jack that can double as an IEM system too. Watch this video from about 4:45 on: https://youtu.be/uXTZNY5Ta-o Seems like this will only set you back about $60. It might be mono though, rather than stereo.
If you want to keep looking around, this is a pro option that I have a lot of experience with: https://www.amazon.com/Shure-P3TR112GR-Wireless-Personal-Earphones/dp/B00ODU9IJW/ There are tons of knock-offs and other things all over Amazon too for a lot less money. Thereโs no particular one I can recommend over the others though.
Edit: to answer your actual question though: this is a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ You would have to buy two: one to receive and one to transmit. I honestly canโt recommend it though. The audio quality isnโt great, and the volume steps are too gross (you canโt turn it down quiet enough for my taste). Also, there will be noticeable audio delay, as others have mentioned.
I'm using this... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_350SzbMG21G6Z Plug into it instead of the head phone jack on your phone and connect to it via Bluetooth. I just started using it and it works great. Don't know about battery life but if you already have a car charger it shouldn't be a big problem.
I did something similar to what you are trying to do with my ath-m40x's
I took one of these
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KXIKCSI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_11iUDbNP8E223
With one of these
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KL7C10O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_L3iUDbCVBKRTZ
And I used some adhesive magnets on the side of the headphone and the side of the receiver to attach it to the outside.
You will also need to modify the input by removing the locking mechanism from the headphone input. Then insert one of these
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GD3ONN2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_I6iUDbS0AMJRE
So that you have a 3.5mm out. It is useful and the headphones are now bluetooth but I wouldn't call it an elegant solution. This may also fuck with your headphones since they are open back but I doubt it would hurt the sound.

Replacing pads on the SHP9500 is not that difficult, just a little more involved. There is the Shure 1540 pad which is made from Alcantara and very nice, a little better than velour for comfort/breathable feeling. Only thing is they are darker sounding and really require you to peel off the foam backing (tedious work) to get rid of the slight veil/muffled quality they have. The Shure 1840 velour pads are my preference as they retain the stock sound but are more comfortable than stock and with custom attenuator placed in the pads the bass is what it should be. The 1840 pads are also 1/2 the price of the 1540 pads.
As for sheepskin, I have always found it better than pleather for breathability, but velour is best along with whatever Sennheiser uses for their HD700 pads.
For $30 you can get a highly regarded Bluetooth adapter to make the M40X, SHP9500, or any other headphone, wireless:
https://www.amazon.com/Mpow-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Hands-free/dp/B01KXIKCSI
SHP9500S + 1540 pads + MPOW + Boom PRO mic would be around $150...
That was the first thing that came in mind and my solution was buying a tiny Bluetooth adapter for my car and some badass Bluetooth earphones. Took a bit to getting use to but life has actually been a lot easier with these two cheap easy solutions and no longer having to deal with an extra cable. Haven't dealt with any connection issues too, just switch on Bluetooth and they connect right away and have awesome sound quality.
by buying a bluetooth transmitter... or simply using a different headphone

I use this and experience no distortion using my Nintendo Switch headphone jack.
I'll give you the voice chat, but how is something like this not portable? https://www.amzn.com/B01KXIKCSI
Connect like how?
Also there is no Echo Gen 3 yet, there is an Echo Dot gen 3, though.
As far as I know none of the Echo devices have an audio input.
There do exist devices that can transmit over Bluetooth from an audio source, such as this whihc comes with an RCA-3.5mm adapter, although you could get probably any other BT transmitter and a separate RCA-3.5mm adapter.
You can get a bluetooth adapter that you can plug into your tv.
I have one plugged inot my cable box cause my older tv doesnt have a headphone jack.
I belive that one thing you sent is DUAL, RX and TX so you buy two, and pair them.

I would post a request over in r/vintageaudio asking about the value of keeping the gear you inherited.
Pyle makes cheap equipment, both in price and quality. I recommend avoiding the brand.
I don't have a good recommendation for a better phono preamp, unfortunately. I don't have much recent experience with vinyl.
You'll need a Bluetooth transmitter. The Esinkin box is a receiver, it won't send your audio. Perhaps something like this:
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07198BBZN/
For the speakers, I like SMSL amps. They're tiny, powerful, and dependable. The AD18 would give you a built-in bluetooth receiver and a remote:

Do you mean like this one?

Looked up Bluetooth transmitter on Amazon and found this. There are many other options on Amazon too if you look it up on Amazon.
Technically speaking it would be a 1/8" headphone jack (AKA stereo TRS (tip-right-sleeve connections)) to bluetooth dongle. Kind of rare because it's one hell of a power sucker, and going from usb to bluetooth is more practical if possible. Nonetheless, here's one I could find on Amazon. I'm just giving an example, this isn't an endorsement.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QLB1Y7/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_wraBCbMWHSZKS
This is what you want. Takes 3.5mm jack (aka headphone jack) and broadcast bluetooth.
Since your TV has no audio outputs, your only option is to pull the audio from the sources you are plugging in to the TV. If you are only using HDMI inputs, you can get a HDMI switch with audio output. Something like this will get you audio out and then you'd also need something like this to transmit the audio over bluetooth.
cheapest solution, is a wired headset

no promises but I think I've got something workable and cheap, unfortunately you'll probably need your Bluetooth headset connected 24/7 & you'll need to wire a switch to pick up and disconnect the line. You can determine if that is worth the trouble.

Buy one of these https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Connected-Transmission/dp/B074QLB1Y7 and duct tape it to your ipod
Do your implants show up as a paired device in bluetooth settings? If so, you can go in there and disconnect them from the iphone. Then you turn on the genki or other bluetooth adapter and it should auto-pair to whatever it was last connected to. When you're done and you power down the bluetooth adapter, it should let you just hit connect again on your phone to start using them there. No need to go into pairing mode or anything.
I have a hearing problem that requires me to wear headphones most of the time. I use this adapter in handheld mode and then my TV has a headphone jack on it for when I want to play on the big screen. I don't notice any latency. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074QLB1Y7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Got this and it did the trick!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074QLB1Y7/
I think the key is getting something with the A2DP standard and not the newer aptX standard.
You could buy a Bluetooth adapter like this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074QLB1Y7/ref=mp_s_a_1_1 and go out the headphone jack, or one that is usb like this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009ZIILLI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1
Personally I hate using the Alexa and my windows 10 machine, I can ask Alexa to disconnect but windows 10 won't let go and keeps reconnecting until I turn Bluetooth off. I would go with the headphone adapter.
Why not skip the macbook entirely with something like this or this? There's plenty of toslink-to-bluetooth adapters on amazon, and that should provide better latency.
If you still need Mini Toslink (not sure which xbox you have, and I'm not familiar with any of them), but you could always get an adapter.
You may want to consider a headphone and transmitter that are both APTX (or APTX-LL) compatible to avoid latency issues with voices matches lips when watching media.
Consider the Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 ($160 sale on Amazon.ca) or a cheaper APTX-LL headphone paired with the Avantree Leaf USB transmitter or the UGREEN Bluetooth 4.2 Transmitter Wireless Audio Adapter depending on your other devices in your media center.
I've never used this, but it seems to have that feature: UGREEN Bluetooth 4.2 Transmitter Wireless Audio Adapter. The product description says it is USB-powered, and in the Amazon questions section, someone asked about the feature and others answered yes. A bit expensive at ~$36, though.
What if I want my Bluetooth headphones to be amplified?
Pretty ignorant and still trying to figure all of this out and there doesn't seem to be a clear cut answer online.
How might I go about utilizing a headphone amp while still being wirelessly attached to my desktop? Apt-X LL is a requirement.
I'm listening through a pair of Beoplay H9s and I currently have one of these and one of these. Is it as easy as hooking up the former downstream from a headphone amp?
Would love some advice and/or product recs. Thanks!
The latest B&O H9 (4th gen?) do. I use the H9i myself for the same purpose however, which only support AAC, and I cannot tell that there's latency. I use this transmitter connected to my AVR:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077MXFJGQ
OK, so - this is turning into a MacGuyver situation - but here... what if you had your Xbox/Projector connected to one of these - that little device broadcasts Bluetooth whatever you give it at the Line In jack.
It is perhaps a step closer to solving this....
Yes, my mb includes bluetooth, however it does not support APTX LL (and i couldnt really find a mb on the market which does). So i use an additional usb bluetooth dongle. Range is not great with the usb dongle, so u might get something "bigger" with Bluetooth 5.0 and aptx LL support like this one. I think i would not buy the usb dongle again.
Hmm, well I don't have anything against gaming equipment, but maybe try something like this with your bose?

Sports aptX and is targeted at TV and PC users so that sounds about the right category
Is an aptX LL transmitter compatible with aptX headphones? I just purchased a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 wireless headphones which support aptX. I am using them primarily on PC and want to add an aptx transmitter to my PC. Most of the ones available say "aptX Low Latency". If I buy an "aptX Low Latency transmitter" will my headphones still benefit from the aptX or will I have to get a specific transmitter that is aptX only?
Here is one example,
and another.
Will these work with my headphones? If not, any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

I use this with an optical cable connected to my tv

So are these headphones aptX compatible if connecting them to a pc? I am pretty unfamiliar with Bluetooth Tech. Thanks for your great response too!
As in if I bought these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077MXFJGQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_?ie=UTF8&psc=1 would i be getting low latency bluetooth connection.
I just picked up a switch compatible usb-a bluetooth adapter I plan to use while docked. There are a few usb-a options and tons of usb-c options that work with the switch for bluetooth headphone support.
This was the smallest usb-a adapter I could find with switch support that I ordered earlier today
Creative usb-a
There's plenty of other options via usb-c, some with their own usb-c port so that you can use the bluetooth adapter and still charge the switch and others that are smaller but without that feature. With these you can always pick up a usb-c to usb-a adapter for a few dollars to use with the dock too. Some even include a usb-c to usb-a adapter.
HomeSpot usb-c no passthrough
Gulikit air usb-c no passthrough
Gulikit route+ usb-c with passthrough
The title of your post mentions Bluetooth headphones. It is not currently possible to connect Bluetooth headphones directly to the Switch but there are some dongles on the market that provide a workable solution with even multiplayer support.

Sure. Thing is tho I used a scissor to alter the bottom of the S&C grip case. If you look on the back of grip going about an inch up from bottom and mostly thru middle of the back of case from side to side there is an indent that surrounds the open plug on bottom of Switch. I cut using that line. Has no impact on stability of case. But now I can use any adapter I want.
First I bought this one which works just fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L9V1FCF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also bought this one and am waiting for it to arrive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G49WFVK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought the second one because it has an elongated stem which could help with other cases I have so that I wouldn't have to alter the other cases in any way. I'll see which one I lie better and return the one I decide to not use
The Gulikit works great for me.
To confirm, you want to use Bluetooth headsets, right? Yes, it looks like it is that. There are also other products already out like this one.
This one works hella better and is built for the Switch. Not only that but it works with Airpods and my Beats Solo Wireless 3โs.

Just bought this one and it works fantastic:
Gulikit Route Air Switch Bluetooth Adapter Wireless Audio Transmitter w/APTX Low Latency Compatible with Nintendo Switch & Switch Lite, PS4 PC Laptops for Airpods Bluetooth Headphone Speakers (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WMPTF7V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xQrUDbHS57DB2
Looks like thereโs a newer version of the Gulikit adapter thatโs way slimmer

Wow, it looks really sleek! Do you know if it obstructs tabletop mode at all?
Edit: Amazon.ca link in case anyone needs it: https://www.amazon.ca/Wireless-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Compatible-Headphone/dp/B07WMPTF7V
Just get an adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Wireless-Transmitter-Compatible-Headphone/dp/B07WMPTF7V/ref=sr_1_3?crid=VTFOLW3FUEHL&keywords=gulikit+route+air&qid=1573168800&sprefix=guikit%2Caps%2C147&sr=8-3
EDIT: This adapter apparently requires modification to work with the switch lite, but there are others.
Iโm assuming theyโre Bluetooth so youโll be wanting this so you can connect via handheld and docked mode.

It does; I was looking at this one since it's long range, plus it supports aptx hd.
is there literally no route to let you run a cable directly from the TV to your night stand?
i'd recommend a SPIDF cable long enough to dress along the wall and around the room to your night stand, then a little headphone amp, if you wanted to be fancy pants and have the best possible sound quality.
you don't have any analog audio outs from your TV, unless there's an earphone jack somewhere on the bottom edge. using that would probably mute the TV.
what and where is the source for the TV? you can use that for your audio source too.

they make off the shelf bluetooth transmitters for what you're trying to do.

I'd get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/TaoTronics-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Headphones/dp/B07NQ87RVT allows you to use 2 pairs of headphones at the same time and has optical.
I'd skip it and get this instead. Or something similar. The one in OP's link requires charging.
I think bluetooth adapter is good investment for the switch. This is the one that I got for my switch.

I did a lot of research a couple months ago and this is what I found to be the best solution (and it is, been using it almost daily)

Connect your wireless headphones to it, play handheld. Or you can also plug an extra adapter (that comes in the box) directly to the dock and use wireless headphones while playing docked
I paid $88 for a pair of MEElectronics AirFi Matrix2 and they sound way, way better than Beats do for way less. Clear vocals, highs, mids, lows, and lovely bass pumping. They also, imo, look better. Plus no wire.
People that want the over-modulated bass from Beats probably do have shit taste in music and/or only want to them as a status symbol.
Something like this, then?
This is what you would need:
